    The measurements are determined by the size of your barrel. Make the trough 22 inches from the ground and the roof height 42 inches from the trough. Will hold about 75lb. of feed. Deer are going my 75lb. every two weeks. Thanks for watching.

    Great video. Thanks for sharing. Have you seen any improvement with using the Record Rack Golden Nuggets?

    I might go a little taller on the trough cause here in Fl. we have a lot of hogs.

    Don't worry about making to holes too big. 1/4 to 7/16 is perfect. The small crumbs in the bottom will stop up the holes if not large enough. Always dry and empty when I return.

    Looks great guys, any reason why you didn't angle the roof?

      Has small frame 1x2 underneath. Wanted it light as possible . Not top heavy.

    Bears would rip it apart here in Oklahoma.

    What about moisture? Do you drill several tiny holes in the bottom of
    the "buffet table".....maybe put a wire mesh at the bottom...or do you
    not have issues with that?

      +Kyle Nichols Make the holes at least 3/16 or larger. No issue with water with proper roof size. At least larger than the barrel.

    Will you send me the plans? Dimensions of cuts, 4x4, etc.?

    • @hamradioportable1630
      @hamradioportable1630  8 лет назад

      +Southern Adventures The 4x4's are 22 inches . Everything else will depend on the size of the barrel half. The same goes for the roof also. Feed stays dry.
      Feeder still in great shape after 2 years now. Thanks

      The height is 22 inches. the other dimensions depend on your barrel size.You can't go wrong , just build it and keep the feed dry.

    how much food do you lose to raccoons,, etc.

    • @hamradioportable1630
      @hamradioportable1630  7 лет назад +1

      I do loose some to raccoons but they don't seem to like the record rack as well as corn. They will clean out corn. I use 100% record rack. They munch some on it but the deer will get what they need. The idea is to keep it dry. Thanks for watching.

      No plans on paper. The 4x4 legs are 22 inches. Just size it around the barrel you have available.
