Sorry to hear about the controller, I had two of the Crazed Pilot modules fail and went to the same FlyLED controller you changed to. It has been working great for two years now...and frankly it was simpler and less expensive as well.
Thanks for recommending FlyLED. Everything worked like it should except for one feature. I am using a simple on/off switch. I have it wired, per the instructions, to have the first switch “on” to act like landing lights, and with a quick (within a sec) off/on, it activates the WigWag feature. This feature is what I planned to use, but doesn’t work. I contacted FlyLED and will need to swap it for another module. I will take it out of the plane today and do a bench test before sending it back.
@@mhilderbrand7693 no problem. You just mentioned they said something solder related. I thought either of those solder related failure modes might ring a bell. Congrats on the flight testing so far! Hopefully you're back at it soon!
No, the Horizon is their top of the line EFIS. I have the smaller Sport Ex version, although with most of the add-on features enabled (touch screen, Auto-pilot, etc..).
Good to hear it was an easy fix.

@@mhilderbrand7693 That is how I have mine connected as well. The Landing Light switch is also the wigwag (On-Off-On).
Cold solder joint? Solder bridge?
GRT didn’t provide me with that detail.
