Wonderful. I was given an Instant Pot and needed a video to figure out the pressure cook and pressure level and you answered both my questions quickly. Thank you.
Thank you for getting to the point & not dragging it out like some other videos! i’m trying to use mine for the 1st time on the soup/broth button - i got it now thank you so much!
Thank you helped so much because I was so confused on how to change it to the more. Thank you for your You Tube video it was much needed because I looked at the directions and they do not explain it at all
This helped me more than any other videos, since I started Pit 8qt didn’t send me a book with it to teach any of the cooking instructions. I have to buy a book on Amazon to learn how to cook in it.
As I understand it from another video: When you use the pressure cook button and select Less, Normal, or More and change the cook time, once cooking is complete, the instant pot will remember that particular time setting for less, normal, or more and old cook times will be replaced. So basically less, normal, and more are 3 time memories for pressure cooking.
When you demonstrated on changing from normal -to either low or high, I noticed when you hit low pressure it reverted back to high pressure. So when you toggled from low normal or high it apparently moves back to high pressure setting. So looks like on low pressure you can’t toggle to low normal or high? Hope I’m making sense and you can offer some clarity.
Hi Janita! Yes, it is possible to change the temperature settings for sauté mode. What you do is press "sauté" once to choose the mode you're going to cook in. And then press the "sauté" button again to choose whether you want to have less (lower)heat, normal heat, or more (higher) heat. The plus and minus buttons change the amount of time you want to use the sauté feature for. Enjoy your Instant Pot!
Hi Kristen, To saute on high, these are the steps to take: 1. Press "SAUTE" to turn on the sauté function. 2. Press "SAUTE" again to toggle between less, normal, more. It is the "more" level which is the hottest temperature. 3. To adjust the amount of time you want to saute, press the + button till you have the amount of time you want to saute. 4. The cooker will say ON to let you know it is heating up the pot. As soon as you are ready you can put your liquid/oil in the pot, as your food, and begin to saute. Hope this helps you figure this feature out.
Debby Spagnol Yes, Debby, the "less, normal, more" modes alter the programmed amounts of time for each of the category buttons on your Instant Pot. The reason given for this in their user manual is to give you different choices depending on what you are cooking. For example, if it's rice, you will get an Al dente texture on "less" , normal texture on "normal", and softer texture on "more". On some program settings, there is a soak time added to the cook time if you have it on the "more" setting. In some cases, you can't change the automated time with the + and - signs, only the less/normally/ more modes can be changed. This is all explained in a chart called "Control and Features" in the user manual.
Literally needed this just now. Thank you for being straight and to the point!
Had it for 7 years, using regularly.
Just figured out I can press “Saute” twice for a stronger sear.
Thank you! 😂

How do I saute on high with my instant pot duo. I don't have the adjust button.

I have a lux, it's fifferent
I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with a Lux, so I can't answer your question.
Yes and I’m over it! Ugh
where is the adjust button
So basically you are just changing the time?
