Coming from a kid who is in their school play as a lead: I was terrible at singing. I practiced every day and night b vocalizations and songs. (Tea with honey in it also helped.) With hard work you can do it.
You could always be a dancer, and you might think you can sing but you just haven’t been taught right. And if none of that works out and you still wanna be one of the most important parts of the show you could always sign up for tech/crew :)

I came from a po dunk town and we had no theater at my high school. I majored in theater in college but I was behind my peers and had to work hard to catch up. However, I am one of the few to make a career in it.
For sure! I did do like one play once when I was a pre teen (that's how I got hooked) but then it dis-bannded, and a bunch of other stuff happened, so I couldn't do that anymore. Then, when I went to look for ANY classes or community theater programs, what few there were were either WAY pricy, or required experience (which I obviously don't have). So, I'm stuck being a way overdramatic and excited "pretend" actor, with absolutely no clue what I'm doing and nowhere to have fun.
Kind of but my story is I go to a weird private school and they have tiny drama classes but my dance studio does theatre classes and we do a show every year but it’s not like full out or anything so kind of.
@@ellak6009 I totally agree! In my opinion, the movie gives the musical a bad rep so no one actually listens to it. If people actually listened to it they probably would like it! It does have a few lines that are kinda awkward (“it’s totes amaze i’m way impressed, like sweet technique”) but overall I think the story and music deserve a chance that should be taken. I mean, in my opinion, the DCOM was not the best because you are trying to cram 2 1/2 hours of a musical into about 60 to 90 mins. The musical is so much more flushed out. Idk why I wrote so much in response to this, i could probably write more, honestly just tell me and i could write more haha. Taylor is trying to get through senior year of high school, but the two parts of their inner self are constantly fighting and getting in the way of things. Conflicts are things like getting dressed for school, figuring out who to date, going to parties, and dealing with gender dysphoria when out and about Three leads, Taylor (the genderfluid teen), Tiara (the part of Taylor that wants to be a femme girl), and Tyler (the part of Taylor that wants to be a masc boy) Side note: the names can be changed to fit better into song lyrics but the idea was that it was a gender neutral name, a feminine name, and a masculine name that all sounded somewhat similar
