You can make your own fondant. With marshmallows and powdered sugar. It tastes so much better and it is significantly easier to work with.

Your a mom like me. I made every birthday cake myself, from Cinderella to Harry Potter and lots in between. It's fun to have a theme and get it all ready for them. The kids love it. You make everything looks so easy even with having the children help. Consider yourself the birthday fairy, if you are doing this late at night. It's definitely a peaceful time to get details ready. Using the paddle attachment would help with the icing. The whip puts too much air in too fast. Also, cream the butter for like 3 mins, or until it's light and fluffy before you add the powdered sugar. 😊

Walmart has a great variety of cake supplies! More liquid to loosen your icing and whipping it well before use is a good trick too! I always make most fondant decor ahead of time and use colored frosting as the base! Love your content!

Yay it's Tuesday. For me it doesn't matter what your content is, I'm always motivated to do some cleaning. Today is finishing declutter and organize my closet. I've been putting it off...yesterday I deep cleaned my frig...anything to not have to do my closet right? hahahaha 💜💙💚💛🧡

You need a turntable. Makes it 10x easier. Also if your frosting is too thick just add a little water and re mix. Cover cake with crumb coat and throw in the freezer, then frost it. When you roll the fondant roll it all the way over the rolling pin, don't let it hang thats what causes cracks 💕
I use a lazy susan from my pantry for my turntable...works a treat for those of you who don't have space for a dedicated turntable
A little tip with the balloons so it won't hurt your fingers blow up 2 balloons at the same time and tie the necks together as if you are tying a shoe. It won't rub against your skin. Try it for your baby birthday in August!

If u add pudding in the cake mix or cupcake mix, it makes it soooo moist, not dry at all!! 🙂✌️

Your cake looks great! My mother used to make powdered sugar icing. When her icing was too stiff she would add small amounts of hot water to thin it.
