As a man owning and harvesting forrest in Sweden. There are strikt regulations on how and when you can harvest. Also we plant new trees ofc. We are not Brazil… Lastly, forrest industry is climate positive mate.

Hi Kalle, I'm a retired pipefitter, welder living in Montana, USA. Unfortunately most of our forest land looks a lot like yours. Clear cut and left looking like disaster area. I watch because I know nothing of Sweden. Your videos give us a window into your life and the way you live. Thank you for sharing that.

I wish they would log here on the west coast. When we get a wildfire it burns hundreds upon thousands of acres of wildlife and filled the skies with hazardous levels of carbon monoxide to poison us. When we allowed logging to maintain our forest this didn't happen. Now it's just a miss managed mess.
All forest cut down in Sweden has to promtly replanted. Sweden has more forest today that a hundred years ago. Kalle was referring to untouched forest. That "disaster area" will soon be full of trees.
@@globetrotting2628 sorry.....the CLIMATE IS THE ISSUE . Hotter, drier and windier. It's going to get worse too. Clearcutting forests and leaving a MESS behind is NOT the answer AND THAT IS HOW IT WAS DONE IN YEARS PAST.

Winter will be a significant test for your love. Make sure your treasure is warm and cozy. I'm not even kidding. Make her warm and special and you have bridesmaid for a lifetime. Never ever take her for granted. I know there’s a lot on your shoulders, but a woman is capable of creating something amazing out of a man, we often surprise ourselves and make the impossible possible. Most often for someone special. In a few years, you will turn back and marvel at yourself, you just won’t be able to believe what you’ve achieved. Just look, in a few months, you have increased your family by 40k people. You are one of the few who dared and is now starting to live his dream. Enjoy your journey. I wish you both all the best in your future.
One of my brothers has had two huskies now. When he acquired the first one, he was told by another owner: "You don't order a husky to do anything. You negotiate." Looks to be true here, too! Great dogs, though, and SO smart!

looks like you're not in lock down over in Sweden...How nice ! Did travel throughout Sweden 2 years ago and was also seriously disturbed by the amount of logging and wanton destruction of forest.Most places that had been recently logged looked like war zones. But what an amazing country.I plan to travel north again in spring .Lovely videos.Thank you
On the doors , when you get new ones made ( carpenter was the correct description ) on the inside you could fit a curtain rail and add in heavy thick material to catch any new draughts that occur during winter .
Hanging heavy fabric in every doorway during Winter provides much more control of heat movement.
Also exterior doors should have an astrical. A piece of wood attached to the main operating door that covers the seam between the two doors.

I just discovered you're channel and I've watched your last 3 videos back to back. I love it! When I watch your videos I can't help but think of my home in northern Maine. I moved to Los Angeles 4 years ago and I miss the never ending forests, nature, simplicity, and friendly people... And surprisingly the seasons!
There's actually many people in northern Maine who's ancestors sailed from Sweden hundreds of years ago and settled in northern Maine. Maybe because it reminded them of home. They even named a couple towns after Sweden - New Sweden, and Stockholm.
Maybe someday I'll move back and be able to live a life like yours.... I'm sure it's not easy and that you have you're own set of daily challenges, but I feel it's the way life should be lived.

Greetings from Germany and a new subscriber. When I saw you standing in that deforested area, it reminded me of a montain range me and my husband loved to hike here in Germany. Whole hills were deforested, nothing left, except remains of trees and those still standing were sick. It used to be a mixed forest in the past, but over centuries trees were used there for the upcoming mining industry. Those times are long gone, but when authorities started regrowing the forest they decided on spruce monoculture for fast harvest. But the climate changed, long hot dry Summers and bark beetles made the spruces sick until they died. The good side of the story to this: Authorities now realized they have to go back to how these mountain range forests were always meant to be. So sick trees were cut and a mix of new leaf trees were and are still planted. People can also donate new trees for this reforestation project. Sometimes there is still hope that people might learn what's best for the land. Keep up your good work.😄👍💗

I think it s great that you make such an effort to answer so many questions , I stoped following a couple of you tubers as I felt they were not truthful in their contents , people kept asking the same 2 or 3 questions over and over again , and they never seem to care enough to answer ANYTHING to anyone , but as your channel grows , it is normal that you cannot possibly answering as many comments , but I found Jonna Jinton for example , has done a great job doing a Q and A video , adressing the most asked concerns and request , that s a reasonable solution I think , but do not ever ignore your audience because , yes , they will leave you and unsuscribe if they feel you re in it just for the business part of it , so it is great that you let people know of your appreciation , thank you.

Love your home and im so glad you're keeping its original style. We also have a husky and tough she had hearing problems for the first year because she wouldn't come to us when called. Nop her hearing is perfect she just a typical husky.

For isolation you can use styropor plates, it works pretty fast so that you can finish the job in no time before winter arrives. Mice love eating straw ans nesting in wool and eating paper. Styropor is easy to work with: you cut it simply with a knife and you can make a layer on the inside of the cottage and cover it up with wood or an other sort of material.It wil be soon warmer inside your cottage in winter, In Holland we isolated the stables of our house in this way so that we could make a livingroom from the former stable. Sorry for my bad english, my dutch is better.I am 72 jrs old, my husband is 75 and we are still going strong! Greetings from Holland.
