Overheating makes you much more cap efficient when tanking (like, double the ehp/GJ). You might have survived just by overheating your hardener and booster and turning off auto repeat. You almost certainly would have lived if you'd had 40m worth of drugs in that 3B cargo hold.
@captainbenzie overheating and watching your cap... you can still rep shields in hull, your cap was like 1/4 full at the end and u didn't bother to toggle the booster. But things are always easier when watching lol thanks for the content

You can actually drop the Mobile disruptor at the start of the site, the mtu does not have any range limitations so that can be dropped right ontop of the disruptor, even the Mobile depo can be launched just next to the disruptor I think. So just drop disruptor first, then in the second to last wave where you face 3 frigates drop the mtu and depo, since those last frigates can be killed with drones very fast. :)
decent fit, this is what I use, little more pricey but its made me so much that I dont worry anymore about money. Throwing a cap booster into your fit would help keep your cap above 35% to optimise recharge rate. Also a whole bunch of cap rechargers in cargo to swap in to get to 100% quickly before you trigger the final spawn, then swap back out in favour of the gyrostabilisers.

Hey there. I can’t make comments on the ship or your playstyle. I’m not there jet. But I like to see where you did something wrong. Not because you run into trouble, but it teaches me much of deeper mechanics in the game I cane use flying my smaller ships.
Well, yes, obviously. But the challenge was finding something that works - and this does, without the need to manage. And if you don't swap fit for the Drifter, shield management won't help.
That fit makes me cry. It's a flying cap battery. Try this. It's far more expensive, but you will survive and personally, since one is making about 500 mill per site, you'll make it back in a few days. Shoot all the frigates expect the trigger at range. Kill the cruisers and BS with Hail as they get nearer. Use the two NOS to keep your cap alive (stagger them!). Use the grappler to kill the last frig (maybe take some high tracking ammo along for this, like RF depleted uranium, and/or use synth drop). The EC drones are to give you a small chance to get out if you get dropped on or on the Drifter BS to give you some time to recharge your cap. P.S. I've added Nanite paste. Remember that the Bastion module gives you extra heating ability. Use it. Way late to the party, but you're supposed to fit nosferatus in your highs for the drifter instead of bombs. Those nos' go a long way to keepign you cap stable, the smart bombs aren't needed for the drifter, and you free up some utility mids.

Ashy's guide was a great resource for people new to C5 ratting but don't think that people were being 'nasty' to her without knowing why. If you knew the types of things she said (that exist in recordings and discord logs) then you wouldn't be defending her.

How so? By EVE's standards this is one of the most logical. You've got a clear bridge, a clear magazine, solid propulsion units, and then two large ladar arrays. Even the Bastion Mode is situated right next to the magazine, and opens to vent into space (boosting the rate of fire), whilst also empowering the ladar arrays (accuracy) whilst the shield generators gain additional power too.

So much this. The deadspace modules can take so much heat abuse, and drugs are a hard requirement in this activity.
The Vargur is by far my favorite ship in Eve. The additional animations are amazing, and its simply a joy to fly.
