- Clara always said "Run, you clever boy... and remember". She was foreshadowing the Doctor forgetting her.
"Run, you clever boy... and remember ME"
And he did :)
Episodes:
The Snowmen (2012 Christmas Special)
The Name of the Doctor (S07E13)
Hell Bent (S09E12)
Twice Upon a Time (2017 Christmas Special)
I like that in Clara's first non-Earth adventure with the Doctor took place at the Rings of Akhaten, where he told her that songs are stories, telling their own tale, and here she reminds him that "Maybe that story became a song". I love that minor closing of a loop and going full circle with her adventures.
Nice catch.
woah. for some reason, i think Steven Moffat always knew how Clara’s story would end. Nice catch.
Actually, I think Clara's suggestion that some stories might become songs was a lead up to the next episode _"The Husbands of River Song."_ You might also notice that Clara is a waitress in this episode, perhaps a callback to the 11th Doctor's episode called _"The Girl Who Waited"_ as in this episode, the 12th Doctor remembered he had been in the same diner with Amy and Rory. It's all connected.
Oh, good catch. Never thought of that before.
Can we all just agree that Jenna is absolutely beautiful without even trying to flaunt a sexy look?
And when she is flaunting in a sexy look... Good Lord, there could never be a woman more beautiful than her.
Yes. Yes we can
Yes we can. She's one of those where the smile reaches the eyes.
She and martha jones were the most beautiful companions imo.
Ironic scene where he looks at her like she's a stranger when she look at him the same when the 11th transform to the 12th doctor
I haven't thought of that before, good catch!
"I let Clara Oswald get inside my head. Trust me, she doesn't leave."
P.S. I just realized that the Diner TARDIS' control room is an updated version of the 5th Doctor's!!
@@danielhaire6677 I wonder, is there a size limit on what Tardis can fake?I'm just thinking if one day we get to see a Tardis faking a whole Skyscraper in the middle of a big city like New York or London.
@@laisensei6984 No known size limit
@@danielhaire6677 Well then maybe dreaming about seeing a Skyscraper Tardis is too small. Maybe an entire planet could be Tardis. Unfortunately Doctor's camouflage system was never repaired and the Tardis remained as a police box until this day. I hope he changes his mind someday.
@@laisensei6984 Consider in oe f his early episodes, that Capaldi stated that the mass circuits of a TARDIS were the only thing that kept it from cracking the mantle of the Earth whenever it crashed/landed on Earth.
The pain in 12's voice when he was talking to Clara at the bar is so heartbreaking. And when he says 'if I met her again, I would know', how she looked at him was so sad, because she knew. I was never even a doctor who fan but I love 9, 10, 11, and 12 just from clips of them.
I can't choose between Capaldi, Smith, or Tennant.
Get watching
TRUST ME you won't regret it
Same
go watch the damn series you won't regret it
DID YOU WATCH THE SHOW?
I miss Clara, I miss the Pond's, I miss Rose.
I miss Dr. Who 2019 sucks
I miss Donna Noble
me too I miss Rose, Dona, Pond's and River Song even Grase 😢 I hope next season would be better.
@@anime.books.lover.93 I'm with you, last season was almost okay, but it just did not give me the ( escapism ) and total enjoyment and wanting to be involved with the characters that the other seasons did. Last season was close, sort of, but this time around I hope they hit their stride and blow it out of the park, lets cross our fingers.
clara , ponds , donna 😍🤗😍
I've just noticed that when Clara says stories become songs, the key changes from minor (sad) to major(happy) lovely little touch.
Alot of people didn't get that he's playing Clara's theme. It can be plainly heard at the beginning of the 50th special.
He was sure he could recognize her, and he couldn't. He said he would remember, and he couldn't. And when it is over, it can be much more than sad; it can break you. But a broken Doctor goes back to his own Tardis, sees that final message, and knows he must carry on. And at his end, she returns to give him back those precious memories. She's my Impossible Girl as well.
technically it was the AI that gave the doctor back his memories
Isn't this the same restuarant where Rory, Amy and River discover that the 11th Doctor is still alive? He pops out from that same Elvis door and surprises them all after he gets shot.
Yep
Yeah, and the Doctor actually mentions it in the episode
Yep. And even though it looks like an American diner, it's actually in Cardiff just a short walk from the Doctor Who museum and where they actually shoot the show. My wife (GF at the time) and I went there fully by accident when visiting Cardiff. I was amused by the idea of an Amercian diner in the UK and when I walked in. I immediately recognized the place.
Also Clara was probably the smartest companion
She was super smart! I think "smartest" might have to go to Zoe Heriot, though. She was a companion of the Second Doctor's, who was essentially a human computer. She was a tiny thing, but was shown to be even smarter than the Doctor at times, and once broke a super computer for fun by feeding it nonsense problems that couldn't be logically solved. There's been so many good companions
Don't forget that Romana and Susan were time ladies
technically, oswin was a genius
don't forget that martha had a degree
Yes, I think she was by far. I don't know the old series, I only know it from the 9th doctor and after. In my opinion, no other companion could even compete with her. It was a perfect match for the Twelfth Doctor, who was just brilliant. She was at eye level with him. The two inspired each other. Missy really got that right, because she brought them together. Clara was also a great companion for the 11th Doctor. But created outstandingly for the more serious successor. Only then did their full potential become visible. It's a shame that she couldn't accompany him to the end.
Looks like Ashildr learned to fly a TARDIS the same way the Doctor did. She left the parking brake on, too.
In my opinion Clara, Amy and Rory and Donna were the best companions and Smith, Tenant and Capaldi were the best doctors too
Me too I don't know why so many people hate Clara I think she's great
then you know shit of troy baker, fuckin kid.....
Donna was the best one but Clara comes very close for me
@@thanosdarkseid8695 who's troy baker???
@@thanosdarkseid8695 poser, Troy Baker never played in Doctor Who
My favourite companion and my favourite two Doctors :).
YANA
Clara was awful. I dont want to watch Clara Who.
Shut up she’s fine
Clara was an amazing companion
Toby Clayton me too
I really wanted one of claras last lines during the 12ths regen to be 'Run, you silly old man... and remember me this time'
I always love how he’s playing her theme on the guitar.
For all its flaws, I loved Clara’s arc and Jenna did INCREDIBLE 😊
I burst into tears (Xmas Day ?) when He got His Memories of Clara back - btw, I'm older than Capaldi - I adored Clara - when She died, My mate said 'She's gone' I replied 'The Doctor will NOT let that stand'
Dude this is like the most saddest death in doctor who all clara’s last words where only” run you clever boy and remember
"It was sufflé-girl. Again!" Cracked me up xD
Tardis disguised as a diner.
What a tasteful nod to Douglas Adams!
3:00 anybody else notice the subtle change in music.
Oh God the most saddest, most emotional part of The Doctor. It has left such a hole in my heart. :'(
They had the perfect opportunity for one last run you clever boy with 12...
Clara ... those Eyes ... WTF am I supposed to do?
She is so cute
One of the saddest episodes I ever seen plus a little confusing in a early episode it was suggested that clara and Danny had children maybe even married then they kill off Danny and Clara is caught between literally life and death..she not dead and she quite not alive either..
Sadly in some cases, time can be rewritten
@@MrShedinthepeg It wasn't actually rewritten. The whole arc with a person who presumably is Clara's descendant is made for a reason. It is made as an analogy to the creature in the episode.
Everything leads us to conclusion that this person is a descendant of Clara - but he is not. And, analogically, everything leads us to conclusion that the creature from Listen exists - but it doesn't.
So to fully understand the point of Listen, you need to watch the whole Series 8 up to Danny's death. And that's why I LOVE Steven Moffat.
out all of the doctors and companions this one and amy pond were the best in my opinion. But unlike with amy where there was some what a strong ending to that story and chapter of that companion, I feel like this one left an opening. I wished it didn't end the way it did and that it would of continued on for a bit longer. I hope that they bring her back and finish her story completely.
I know people tend to give Clara flack a good deal, but honestly, she was my favorite companion. I loved plenty of others, but the way she was written was very clever and her story was really intriguing. She had wonderful chemistry with 12. Maybe a little rough around the edges at first but it worked out brilliantly. If I had one complaint it would be at the very end when 12 remembers her. And it simply had me wanting a bit more of a conclusion between the two in that scene, but that's honestly it.
omg she is freaking cuttttiie
Clara was my favorite companion and Tenant was my favorite Doctor
i am glad she ended up living and exploring the universe..i wonder when she went back and left the immortal girl alone?
Did any one notice when he play guitar - the music - - run you clever boy and remember..
best "Hero" or theme song of them all, it's on my play list.
I always felt that I could identify with her the most out of all the companions :')
Retro Diner Girl Clara really makes my kokoro go doki doki
And they ran, they ran so far away
My first thought when I saw the lady in the background at the end was “iS tHat ARyA?”
Yes 😂
How did he not hear her TARDIS when she stepped into it????
I really miss the Moffat era.
K E Agreed this new guy really ruined the show with his political nonsense if we wanted to know about politics we watch the news
@@theonlyivan7610 And now for even more political nonsense, he completely ruins the show's 57 years old history just to tell us that the Doctor was born as a black female. Let's be honest here: it was literally done just for that.
RUN YOU CLEVER BOY AND REMEMBER ME - that has something motherly the way it is phrased all the time, I woner if that means that CLAIRE/KLARA is in truth the reincarnation of DoctorWHO´s mother.
I had a guitar like that in 1965 and it cost about $200 AUD I think. I think it is the twin cut away les paul guitar, I think. The cutaways were sharp horned. The body was red with a bevelled edge. It had a tremelo arm (jazz tremelo arm?) that you had to move sideways rather than up and down like a fender for instance.
time travel
@@dbizdoesntcut I always wondered were it went to. Check the tremolo arm on the one he is playing. That is definitely my guitar. Thief.
It's a '1966' Epiphone SG G-400 Pro. It's a copy of the Gibson. I've got one from the 90s (not the 1966 model, which has a wider scratch plate).
@@rabsputin Doctor Who with a copy of a Les Paul electric guitar? Surely you jest. . Where is the honour in a "Copy", young Sir.
Epiphone SG w/Bigsby tremelo. I have one(G-310 model). It cost about $200 USD less shipping(I also have an Epiphone SG Special II).
It's why I feel a kinship with Capaldi's Doctor.
Clara live inside my head rent free
Epiphone SG w/Bigsby whammy bar. His guitar.
Stunning woman, just fucking stunning.
This is pretty good
I love it is scene
Like Capaldi with longer hair.
Wonder if the Guitar solo was a play back or an original. After all Peter Capaldi is also a musician and had played in a band in his youth
a band w/Craig Ferguson.
Probably a play back. It's much simpler, and the sound techs don't have to worry about unexpected sounds in the mix that are extra work to remove later.
Besides, the guitar wasn't plugged in to anything...
Now remember me, why can't she just remind him?
Cause she knows that he will try and save her even though he's not supposed to
The Doctor cared for Clara too much. She died, and he did things that endangered the universe in order to bring her back. Afterwards, he realized the two of them couldn't travel together anymore because he might go too far for her (again). So, his solution was to wipe her memory of him and let her live as a normal human, but she reversed the device he was going to use on her and he ended up wiping his own memories of her.
Too soon! It will always be too soon.
this right here is a true sad episode..
I don't get it? Why in the diner, when Clara says 'tell me about her' does the doctor look so surprised? It's like they are both pretending to have forgotten for the sake of the other?
He did forget
no idea why they quit making doctor who when peter capaldi left, they need to bring this show back
Wdym? They never stopped.
Question: did Clara became a Doctor in a way? Is she immortal now and has her companion?
I'd like to think so!
Interesting.
she is immortal until she decides its time to return to the moment of her death, she is a kind of doctor now with her own tardis and her own adventures tho
@@muggy2128 I thought so. Very interesting 💞

why would not include the part where the pic on the side of the tardis falls away
She was right in front of him
but how tf she is flying tardis man i think thats a little bit ridiculous
im confused if Clara ever meets the doctor again will she know that he remembers her or does the glass memory thing have no relation to the real Clara
the glass memory is the testimony everyones memories get uploaded after they die, so at this point clara has died
okay but is NO ONE GONNA TALK ABOUT THERE BEING ANOTHER FEMALE DOCTOR?! :00
so who was that person inside the other tardis
which doctor was with clara??
Who was another girl in the Tardis? And who's Tardis is it?
Ashildr. Clara's.
