I think plenty of people would chip in, worst case scenario you get a few hundred towards the procedure, best case you get it paid for.
Hi there Matt. Saw your video. I am a dentist and when you’re talking about a big case like that doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion. Sometime treatment plans can be too aggressive. I would get a second opinion from a smaller reputable DDS in your area. My history with these big conglomerates is that they over treat. Mind you I’m saying this without seeing your case films. A positive is having a beard and mustache hides everything, may not even be noticeable. If you get temporary dentures sometimes they are harder to get used to. Good luck with what you choose and your new career path. Love your station
You’re the man Matt! As someone who wears one of the scary dentist white coats, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before you get all of your teeth out. Or if you’ve got a dental school near you, usually diagnoses are best there… not saying that the implant center was wrong, but knowing what I know about the dental profession and the money to be made, I would want a second opinion if I were in your shoes. I promise it’s worth it for peace of mind if nothing else.
Totally agree. My wife had some serious issues including needed new teeth and the infection. The first doctor had a much higher initial cost and did not adequately address the infection. Second doctor is doing it all with positive results and less money.
Also a dentist, and agree that a second opinion is a great idea. Id look at the xrays for you also

Last year I had my second open heart surgery in 6 years and your channel helped me get through it. It would make me very happy to help you however I can!
Some people have a way with words and I not have way, but I was thinking it's really great of you to talk openly about health issues, insecurities, things you're afraid of, things you're emabarassed about... getting that stuff out in the open can really help other people dealing with same. You might just really help a bunch of strangers that should really reach out and get help. Good on you, Matt and good luck with 2024. The big thing I've learned about healthcare is finding the best people you can find in that particular field. That said, I think you're going to look back and think, "ZOMG I should have taken care of this YEARS AGO." Your name is Matt.
Wow! That's crazy Matt. Never would have guessed, but definitely glad you're addressing it as it certainly can affect your overall health and we don't want ADHD Whiskey going anywhere!
Considering your situation, I find it amazing at how insightful you are as a taster. I would have thought oral infection would make it very hard to discern technical flavor profiles. Imagine if once you are done with this if your palate will improve.? That would be unbelievable - Move over Fred Minnick!!!

Matty I am right there with you about dental things. I refused to let my dental hygienist friend look at my mouth. Don't want that stress on a friendship. I've had serious infections and pain, pain. I've taken steps to fit it all- waiting to get an implant . What I'm trying to say is, you aren't alone. Thanks for sharing, others out there are dealing with similar things. Love you Matt!

Oh man! I have a couple friends that have had the implants done. It's a long difficult process. Both of my friends have had problems with the implants. One friend has had to have his redone a couple times and he got infected and had to have cadaver bone put into his jaw. Follow their directions to the letter, but don't be surprised if there are complications. I wish you luck my friend! Cheers.

Matt- I also had a fear of the dentist that resulted in an infection. After finding an office I trusted and going all in, I can say it’ll be 10000% worth it. We always make it out to be worse than reality. You’re going to feel like a newer and happier person after. Stay the course it’s more than worth it!
Great news on the new gig! King Matt, awesome. On the other... same sit here, first with our weight and second with the choppers, though mine was less severe. You can see from all the comments, lots of us want to help. You give us a lot of enjoyment and valuable info and we want to return the favor. I feel your pain, literally.
I worked for a small business for 15 years, no insurance. I think the rest of the story is self explanatory. I’m still trying to make up for lost time, but it’s an embarrassing struggle. I’m already running through my head the apology I’ll give the hygienist next week when I go in for my next visit. Thank you for speaking out. As a guy nearing 50 with heart issues, it definitely shouldn’t be ignored any longer. Godspeed on your journey Matt.
Hey Matt, wishing you the best of luck with the dental implants. I'm coming up on finishing 3 implants I started almost a year ago, it's neither a quick nor inexpensive path as you've found out. While I waited for my implants to absorb into my bone I had a partial denture made up to bridge the gap (is that a pun?). One thing I didn't expect around dentures is it covered a good portion of my upper palate which turned down my ability to taste by a significant amount, who knew you had taste buds on the roof of you mouth! In the long run though it was the best option for me long term and I'm looking forward to finishing this journey in a few weeks. I'd be happy to support a fundraiser and you've given a lot to the community!

Had sinus headaches for years. Had a tooth removed , implant done and no more headaches! Best friend experienced same thing after I told him of my success.

Had similar issues in the past and went down the route you are mentioned. Very sceptical and unsure at first, terrified on the day and exhausted right after the procedure. Then a bit of a liquid/cream food diet for a couple of weeks, but in all the best health and quality of life decision I could have ever made.
I'll keep you in my prayers. Always like your enthusiasm and perspective. Hope all goes well and get'r dun.

I understand completely. I had to get a partial for the full front top, 7 teeth, about 3 years ago and i told my wife she will NEVER see me without the partial in lol

Hard be vulnerable - but you are genuine and hard working so it’ll happen man. Try using Smart Goals and a creative and or visual way to save money - off the top of my head poster board and glue on some envelope’s - one for mortgage one for car - one for savings - one for fun - one for teeth. Now be for everyone freaks out I understand no one uses cash anymore, but there are tons of digital equivalents out there that provide the visual representation. Also maybe use fake money for the other bills and real money for the teeth, if using envelope system. Best of luck

Went down that road four years ago and glad I did. It'll be worth it and you will find that your self-confidence will go up. I'm sure you'll come up with something that the community will back.
When I was in 6th grade my best friend shot out one of my top incisors w/ a bb gun. Was able to finally get an implant when I turned 21. Still got the implant 26 years later, what a life changer.

I understand your problem I inherited bad teeth and no matter how well I take care of them they just continue to get worse. I have 4 root canals last year alone and will soon be having more. Dude so sorry you’re going through it. I went through a period of having a lot of dental issues in my early 30s and it really sucks. I had 3 teeth pulled, 2 root canals, and several crowns. One of the teeth I had pulled kept getting infected at the root and It was a terrible experience. Do the fundraiser and get it taken care of. The community will be here for you man.
