What John Mellencamp said..."Losing John Prine is like losing Moses.
He stood on top of the hill and he gave us words of wisdom and truth.
John Prine and I wrote songs together and made a movie together.
We laughed together, and he spent many a lost weekend at my house.
John Prine’s name is written in the stars.
And we should all be happy that he has left us with such wonderful songs and records, just like Moses leaving tablets, that remind us what it is to be a good person and a great songwriter."

"Perfectly crafted popular hit songs never use the wrong rhyme"
Prine was absolutely right here, and I like Carly Rae Jepsen.

"Hey, I just met you and this is crazy. But here's my number, so, uh----just give me a ring sometime, mmkay?" That's more realistic.

"I ain't hurtin' nobody, I ain't hurtin' no one"... I am a Libertarian, and this is my theme song! Don't bother me, and I won't bother you. That is pretty much my philosophy of life.

Saw this when I was 10 years old, and never forgot about it. Started singing it tonight and had to look it up. I wasn’t hurtin’ nobody; I wasn’t hurtin’ no one.
