Hi, can you please verify the time codes for the "Ads mentioned in the Video". They don't correspond with what is being said in the Videos at those time codes.
As a fresher in this industry, this has been so insightful. A collective broader view from prolly the best minds in the industry right now has given me so much more direction as to what to really focus on in order to bring value to the table. Thanks for doing this!
Pretty please add each panelist & their links to the YT descriptions, and Why Is This A Swiggy Ad & Homelane to the "ads mentioned" in the description. Thanks!
Oh my God! There is so much insight. I wish such roundtable were played and discussed in Universities instead of regular textual discussion, which has its importance but these insightful roundtables could be so much more fruitful for the budding enthusiasts.
Wish this was an interactive session. If you guys could do an interactive session, I am sure there will be a lot more POVs and help guide the youngsters!
I don't know if I'm the only one, but shorter versions would be easier to consume. Several times I've clicked on the roundtables, but I haven't made it to the end yet. I'd like to see 45-minute programs or 30 to 45-minute rundowns of the actual episodes.
Its a theme being set i assume and also its like underwritten thing in adverstising like events specially awards the fraternity wears black. Maybe thats why black.
Loved the concept, execution is lad bit too much to easily consume. Edit could have been tighter. Too many instances of “this could have been an email”. Please edit the fluff for next time and get to discussions and the how what why of advertising.
Hi Gayatri, thank you for your feedback. This is, in fact, a precisely condensed version of the long conversations that had actually unfolded before the camera. We appreciate your critique nonetheless :)
First, know the history of it. Watch the The Art & Copy documentary. To create good work you should know what good work is. Read the copybook, hey whipple squeeze this, d&ad featured, cannes featured work. Pick brands, your favourite ones, ask yourself why they are your favourite. Write that 'why' in a new way for that brand. This will build your portfolio. Doesn't matter, even if it's spec/unpublished work. Float that portfolio around to writers, groupheads, CDs. They should see the spark in your work, craft and all, they will teach you.
Writing, whether professionally or not, whether it's words on a page or another form of creative expression... After that, if you're interested in joining the sector, it's important to reach out to people who have a voice within their company and demonstrate what you're capable of.
We would love to hear your thoughts! Let us know your favourite part from the episode. Enjoy watching! 💛
