      However, I think Titled Tuesday has higher pressure put on starting new, more likely winning games.
      It prioritises quantity, I suppose.

      @pranjalsrivastava4260 I've been playing chess for around 40 years, so I'm not exactly new to the game. Watched many recaps of his games as well. I'm sure there are several examples of him blundering worse (everyone blunders, even super GMs), I just haven't seen one.

      I wouldn’t say it was his biggest blunder but it sure had to be one of the most obvious he just totally spaced it out maybe his mind was elsewhere at that point but how about the time Richard Rapport got him with a nice tactic that was several months ago

    Finally. I found the "pause the video"-move AND understood, WHY it's the best move. i've found a few ones before, but they usually are the best moves because of a 15 move line, that i didn't calculate or knew about

      Blunder doesn't equal outplaying. Equalish position, Magnus has his chances and he blunders in a very simple way. With all respect to black, it was Magnus, who lost, not black, who won.

    Keeps mentioning "2 seconds increment", but actually Titled Tuesday reduced the increment to only 1 second a while ago, which makes this even more impressive.

    It was a complete THRILLER until MC moved his Knight. A rare blunder, but with 2 seconds, BDD really held his nerve and Checked MC. Good one!

    I don't think that winning a blitz game due to a simple blunder from a high rated player is in the true spirit of what most chess aficionados want to see. But there's still something to be said about having your king out in front of your pawn row in the middle game and facing Magnus Carlsen with only 20 seconds on your clock, then winning.

      @@sethbuller2360 Cuz he is the unofficial but true world chess champion. In a span of short time he has defeatrd MVL , Wesley So Anish ,Bacrot etc and easily and convincingly at that and Magnus is probably going to have a hard time probably lose against him in upcoming scc match.

    You can keep blitzing moves and win on time. Or is that frowned upon? Even with a 2 second increment the burden of proof is on the player to make the mate. At any point if he thinks for any length of time the clock will expire. Meanwhile Magnus could find a repetition. To resign with 3 seconds on the opponents clock is not in the spirit of blitz.

    Let's be honest guys, he didn't broke Magnus at all. He was at 2 sec , Magnus was at 13. Even without the rook magnus was able to hold the game without any problems till the end. He was just fair play and demonstrated once more that he is a pro.

      It was 3+1 or 3+2. He wouldn't have lost having rook and pawn advantage. But if anything I think Magnus resigned due to frustration with his blunder.

      Fischer won by 4.5 points. Tal finished second. Smyslov and Petrosian participated.
      In each game, Fischer used up only 2.5 minutes. He never left a single pawn en prise throughout the entire tournament. He defeated Tal in both games.
