    Rook b3 is insanity. Literally looks like a move a toddler would make but it's such an insanely deep idea, it made the queen sac look like nothing

      At that point, rook taken, nobody would like to be the black, and he's just a couple of moves away from crushing the white. Amazing vision.

      Honestly I was considering Rxb3 followed by Ra8 for black in that position, but I couldn't work out what the follow up would be. So personally I find the queen sacrifice just as impressive, although of course he would not have played Rxb3 without first calculating the queen sacrifice.

    The players' photos look like they could have been taken immediately after the game. Salem marveling at his crowning achievement and Fedoseev shell-shocked at what just happened.

    These two hung out after the game and looked it over with an engine together ,for about 20 min, with a group of people around, ChessBase india got to film it and put it on his channel , pretty cool video to watch :)

    Just flabbergasted to watch R×b3 and the following back up moves of black. Truly, this game is way ahead of generally considered brilliant games. Ofcourse your move per move classical analysis enriched the charm of unfolding the astounding denouement. Thank you very very much.

    As many have said long before me, it's impossible to play an immortal game unless your opponent is also playing extremely well. Fedoseev was a whisker away from his own fantastic win.
    Great game by both players.

    #suggestions: Smyslov vs Tal 1964 USSR team championship. Here Tal demonstrated brilliancy in every aspect of chess game. Tal sacrificed queen too, but Smyslov returned his queen also.

    In post-game analyses Saleh said he only did see a draw. And then he realized it is a checkmate. Great game anyway.

    I have spotted Rb3 followed by Ra8 like instantly, which makes me one of the greatest chess players ever. 😎
    Joke aside, I really saw that instantly, partly because few days ago I saw a game by almighty bulgarian GM Milko Popchev with almost same combination.

    Besides how amazing this all was, it's bonkers that in the KID how quickly this entered new game territory.
    Love this opening! And being a regular player of the dragon (and losing so many games), I did see the rook sacrifice. Such a neat game.

    @ agadmator, thank you for the good work. But I watch your videos also to learn so at times it would be interesting to watch those deep variations that would be interesting for example I'm really intrigued about that 17 move checkmate, not for the mate but the kind of defensive resources white has to pull to stay a live quite longer

      Yes, that is the question. How did he find this? If it was all truly preparation, and the line itself merely a result of crunching the engine on a particular opening, then it is much less impressive than if he spotted all or even part of it over the board. If this was not engine prep, then he truly deserves the accolades he will no doubt get for it. It's really unfortunate that we live in an age where the question even needs to be asked. The computer makes so many things possible, but seemingly takes away almost as much.

    That move rook to G1 felt so bad. I didn't find the correct move order, but since I knew black would capture and open up the file for my rook, I didn't even think of moving it. It was brilliant game but couldn't appreciate it that much because of that moment.

      I agree... The sacrifices were nice, but it just didn't give the "wow" vibe because I think Vladimir got abit careless here and missed that Rxb3 was so wide open!!
      But the knight sacrifice on e5 was pretty nice (compared to rook sacrifice lol)... I still wouldn't call this an immortal though.. lol

    #suggestion Fantastic game. But very annoying that Agadmator does not show @9:31 what happens if white playes Rhxh7 with check! Then black needs to give up the black queen, becuase the black king has no squares!

      Pawn, white enpassant allowing knight to take to come in to defend pawn and attack rook.
