I never realized how hard this song was until I trie to play it, the fret hand has the easy job but the picking hand requires so much speed. My right arm feels like it's going to explode.
Such a fun song to play. Great job bro. How's about, during that bridge from 1:24-1:52, trying to tackle both parts at the same time tho? Once you get used to it and start nailing the riff, it makes that part so, so, so much more fun. 100% honesty here, playing that combined riff is literally my most favorite riff to play of all time and I literally play it every single time I pick up a guitar.
Dude, thank you so much for showing us your skills at shredding. I am in love with Lamb of God, and have been for a while. Learning their songs as a fairly beginning guitar player can be very frustrating. But watching your technique, it's making a bit more sense :)
At first when I read the title very fast I thought it meant an 11 hour cover of Lamb of God songs... am I retarded? ... by the way, excellent cover as always!
Holy shit man you make this look easy! haha I was having a go at it whilst watching there's some really awkward shapes in there for me tho. What a great cover 10/10
Now that's a damn nice cover(just like the rest of your covers) :D Keep up the good work mate! Will I be too bold if I request a Crying in the rain cover :? I would very much like to see you nail that solo :)
I'm running 10-46 for this one, I usually have 10-52's on this guitar though. I've used the standard green Dunlop tortex 0.88mm since I saw James Hetfield use them in '92
Fucking nailed it! Excelent cover dude! As an intermediate guitarrist trying to learn this song, it's soooo hard to nail that bridge part after the 2nd chorus...
Alex A It depends on the guitar and tuning but usually 10-52's on all the fixed bridges. For floyd setups I run 9-46 for standard and 10-52's for any drop tunings.
LambChopper678 hey anthony, i have a question about the video recording...im going to buy a zoom q3 for recording my covers...have you tried it? Are your videos recorded by you mac or another platform? I have tried to do Ruin (check my channel if you want) but the audio quality is a total shit...
I haven't tried the zoom q3, I have a h4n which is purely for audio capture. It works well and does it's job nicely so I imagine that the q3 is going to be good. I record the audio straight into my mac using amplitube, garageband and a Roland FA-66 interface. For the video I used to use my iphone 4s but recently upgraded to a Panasonic HC-V130. Much easier to get a good picture.
Man... I got into Lamb Of God by watching your covers . They're GREAT !!! Perfect cover you totally nailed it ! If you don't mind , could you possibly cover True American Hate by Testament or Desolation by Lamb Of God ? Thanks and keep up the great work man !
LambChopper678 Nice ! I'm sure no matter how nuts it may be you can do a magnificent job as you always do ! (Thanks for the quick reply :) ) And a question if you don't mind : which randall is that in the background ?
Thanks mate, it's an RM 20 modular amp. Really cool and extremely versatile. Not sure what you know about them but the preamps are interchangeable. I have the modules of a Mk V, Dual Rect, KH-2 & Marshall 2203KK
there's some on eBay, Randall only stopped producing them a few months ago for some stupid reason. Really cool amps. Even though I have an EVH 5150 and a Mesa mk V, I have no intentions of getting rid of it.
God damn dude, I’ve been trying to get that 2nd dissonant chord where you have fingers on 6, and 10 with the 8 in the middle, that’s hard as hell. And as stated even the easy parts are difficult because they are played so fucking fast
The one part of this song that always gets me when I try and play it is the pinch harmonic in the chorus - not sure if it's just me but does anyone else find that particular harmonic hard to hit every time? I can play most of 11th Hour without a problem but that one part I end up getting the correct harmonic maybe 3/10 times =|
You have to strike the string with your pick and thumb in the right spot above the pickups. Too close to the top pick ups or bottom ones will change the sound it makes so just focus on striking the note on different parts above the body until you find the right sound and always hit it in the same spot.
I've switched pups in this guitar about a dozen times. I'm currently using Duncan Sh-6 distortion set. I think they sound best out of all configurations in this guitar. The EMG's were 81-85 Kerry King set with the db booster switch. It was pretty cool
I have a strange set up for my B.C.Rich Ironbird; there are two emg 81's in it, and it's really weird. Is it supposed to give it a different tone? Eh, well I don't know. When I bought it; It had the original pups swapped already.
You are the lamb of god bassist right?
or Mark Morton. The guitar is a close match already.
Yes he is. Why you ask?
@Kace Alan Definitely, I have been watching on Flixzone for years myself :D
@Kace Alan Yup, I have been using flixzone for months myself :)
@Kace Alan Yea, been using flixzone for since november myself :)
I never realized how hard this song was until I trie to play it, the fret hand has the easy job but the picking hand requires so much speed. My right arm feels like it's going to explode.
its all in the wrist
Those crazy down picks are hard to control.
you ever see Wills crazy looking picking hand?
@@bwgti yeah brother I saw. Willi's pickstrokes are damn aggressive
Agree, especially the last part 🤣
Tom Araya guitar cover 11th Hour
wishes he was Mark MORTON!!!!!!!!!!
Lol listen to Slayer's Disciple, sounds similar to 11th hour
Love the subtle difference in sound when you’re palm muting and change where you’re picking the string at. Sounds really good
Well spotted especially even when he's riffing
You deserve all your setup and guitars. Big respect! Never seen a cover like your's before.
Thanks man, appreciate that
I love lamb of god! You did amazing! Sounds alot like the guitarist in the band
I would love to see you cover some Revocation if you like them.
Damn man! Awesome!
Mate, could you please post a guitar lesson? As a video? It's a request man, please.
Found ya through Josh Steffen. You shred.
+Paul Scheidel Thank you mate, appreciated
Clean ass pinch harmonics in the chorus riff. 💜

Perfect perfect perfect. Kudos
That guitar tone! Damn!
Fucking nailed it! Excelent cover dude!
As an intermediate guitarrist trying to learn this song, it's soooo hard to nail that bridge part after the 2nd chorus...
4 years later, how's you go. Manage to get the song down yet?
Is that galloping? Im no good in terminologies, But it sounds cool
Always amazing dude! I just have always wondered what's the size of your strings? I'm using 54 on the low E with my current guitars.
Alex A It depends on the guitar and tuning but usually 10-52's on all the fixed bridges. For floyd setups I run 9-46 for standard and 10-52's for any drop tunings.
Cool, thanks!

lio nik I was listening to True American Hate today, that solo is nuts. I'd like to give it a go
LambChopper678 Nice ! I'm sure no matter how nuts it may be you can do a magnificent job as you always do ! (Thanks for the quick reply :) ) And a question if you don't mind : which randall is that in the background ?

Thanks man , but for an unknown reason i can't seem to find this amp online only the head . where did you get it ?
there's some on eBay, Randall only stopped producing them a few months ago for some stupid reason. Really cool amps. Even though I have an EVH 5150 and a Mesa mk V, I have no intentions of getting rid of it.
Flawless
Love it man. You care if I record the second guitar parts to some of your LoG videos and post them?
Not at all mate, go nuts
good job dude!
I love the violence involved when playing this song.
Good to see another graybeard that they couldn't beat the metal out of.
We got this far
might as well live it to the end.
Remember this chilun: FTW
Talent.

i came here to ask the same question. idk what the fuck im doing wrong.

You rock, granpa!) From Russia)
Fuckin getting goosebumps every time. Goddamn!
I try to do covers but I can't get sound quality this good. How do you do it?
Thanks man, I record using bias amp and fx in Logic Pro. Live mixing is a little tricky sometimes
brilliant!
what did you use for an amp brother?
i love your covers >_
bad ass cover dude how do you the tone of lamb of god i know your not using that randall you got a boogie off camera
No I used to use that Randall with the Mark V preamp but I've gone back to Amplitube Custom shop. If you have it I'll happily share the presets.
LambChopper678 I'm just wondering, but did you switch out the seymour duncan's for emg's; if so which one's are you using?
I've switched pups in this guitar about a dozen times. I'm currently using Duncan Sh-6 distortion set. I think they sound best out of all configurations in this guitar. The EMG's were 81-85 Kerry King set with the db booster switch. It was pretty cool

And I don't mean to bug you about this, but when will your next video be out?
Holy shit. Good stuff
What EMG pickups are in your Mark Morton Jackson??
+Dirty Vanzz Back then they were 81-85 combo but I've since found the JH set and they're perfect for this guitar
Makes it double the badass
Respect to his guy wearing Slayer shirt, a true metalhead
3:05 omg!! My arm!!
Fucking Flawless!! Horns up!! \m/
Honestly sir, tore that shit up.
