I just have to say, your video was awesome! I have looked at multiple videos and none can hold a candle to yours! The way you explained how to read the table was exactly what I needed. Thank you!!
You deserve an ACCOLADE higher than PROFFESOR! You've made this so intuitive and Comprehensive! Your voice tone and accent are also on point. I'm a fan now!
I looooooooooooveee yoooouuuu! Thank you, thank you, thank youuuuuuuuu!!!!! You just saved my life. Thanks to you I successfully completed my research and was able to measure motivation using the two sample t-test. Now I can enjoy Christmas. You are really good!
By watching this video, all efforts i have made in the past, without success, to finalize my analysis was ended. This is just what i have been looking for. Thank you Amy for posting this. You are really a life saver.
Hello Professor Ami Gates, I just wanted to say thank youuuuu very very very much. I was struggling with my hypothesis and I didn't understand which test should I use in order to accept or reject the hypothesis, but you saved me :) Thank you, thank you, thank you ♥
Hi Dr Ami Gates. Thank you very much for this tutorial. i was stuck on this part for 3 weeks try to find solution everywhere i didn't get any help. Now i'm ready solving that problem i have with t-test. So once again thank you very much :).
Hi, Dr. Ami! Thank you very much for uploading this video. It is very well explained and useful. I have a question to you (or anyone else reading it): Let's say, for example, that you want the groups to be people who like and people who don't like golf, which will translate in the spreadsheet into 4,5 and 1,2, instead of just 1 and 5. In that case, how would you define the groups? I am trying to run a similar test for my data and I need to divide the varible into "Higher than 50" and "Less than 50", but SPSS does not allow me to do that. Do you have any suggestions? Is there any other test I could perform? Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video!! If the variances are not assumed to be equal it cant be a parametric test, right? So, is the bottom line a nonparametric test?
Great video. Thought without random assignment, cannot conclude that love of golf/sports affects number of Facebook friends; we simply could conclude that those that love golf/sports have more Facebook friends.
I want to ask about my article which have one case study - one bank- the data is financial ratio and I want to compare between the ratios from 2001-2004 with ratios 2006-2009 There was change in 2005 for that I want to test the before change and after change difference and if it significant or not . I used paired t-test but reviewer's note for me that I have to use non- parametric test!!!!!!!! I am confused which test to use.
ProfessorAmiGates I second Khalids comment. You are so easy to follow. I subscribed because I am sure I can't find someone else that can explain better than you do.
Hello ma'am I want to know that how can I do my two tailed t test in SPSS ..I have 15parameters and from which I want to know more effective of them (or say latent factor)with help of SEM technique.please help me for my thesis
How do I do it if I only have two population means and one set of data? I dont have two lists of data, I want to compare my data to the population mean of other unknown data.
Yo guys be carfull with these videos. She dindt took K-S nor Levenes tests to check variable normality and variance homogeneity. You must always have to check both to decide either you use parametric or non-parametric test.

WOW
Excuse me, are you Dr Ami Gates, who used to study master at the McGill Sociology?
For performance in a group, how should the initial mean between the final one?

Glad to help!

Is there a place to get the data set file used in this video?
it would be great if you could share this excel file . . .
Respected madam,
What is Classical mean differential test ? And how it calculate?
How do I do it if I only have two population means and one set of data? I dont have two lists of data, I want to compare my data to the population mean of other unknown data.
Can i get this data for practice?
how can we get your data? thanks
How can I get this dataset???
is it possible if the significance value in the levene's test is only 0.00? or there's something wrong with the calculation?
if levenes test = P
You should explain it from the start you input your data

M i late to join ? I appreciate efforts
is the confidence level 95%?
The table is not that clear
This is not two sample t test.
You're pronouncing 'data' wrong (FYI)
what a dumb sample problem. why wouldnt that category just be labeled”sports”? 😂
Oh my gosh!!!! SOOOOOOOO much talking, this could be like 9 minutes shorter!
