- Overall review of our budget build on the 2001 Dakota quad cab. I go over all the parts that we installed and the links are down below. Headlights, taillights, third brake light, performance accessories body lift, supreme suspension lift, 35 inch mud tires, sway bar bushings, and ball joints is really all we've done. These are the biggest tires that you can reasonably fit on one of these trucks. All these modifications can be done to any Dakota 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 single regular ext extended cab or crew quadcab, manual or automatic transmission. My wife has an 04 dakota v8 but it's only 2wd . She wants a 3 in lift but I can't find a loft that's compatible with 2wd ? Does this suspension loft work for 2wd models as well?
The 2wd suspension lift is different than the 4x4 one. The body lift is the same for both setups though. There should be 2wd suspension lifts on eBay for around $100

Picking up a 2000 Dakota next week… what would you recommend if we just wanna run 33s but still have decent off road capabilities??? And gain some nice lift

Can anything be done to the 4.7 to get more power?
The thing I see most commonly done is camming them. I guess you can put the 4.7 HO cam in these but that's a lot of work for 25 hp

It sold already, and then the kid who bought it just wrecked it so it's totalled... He didn't seem like the brightest bulb out there

Will this all work on a 03 durango?
The body lift will be slightly different and the suspension lift will be shackles for the rear instead of blocks. But yes, you could build your Durango identical to this
I was thinking about a 3 inch body lift on my Dakota, what size tires should I put on it?
You can fit 33s with 3 inch body lift. Might need just a little trimming on the front plastic wheel well but I think you'll be fine with no trimming

Mines an 05 dakotà 2wd do you think I could still do 2 inch lift kits and tires? Also can I get lift kits off ebay as well? What size tires do you recommend on 2wd.
You can do a 2 inch suspension lift kit. The lift kits will be different for the 2wd since you have coil springs in front and leaf springs that go under the rear axle. So it will be shackles for the rear and coil spacers for the front. There should be some on eBay that will work. You could fit 31-32 inch tires, I believe. What size tires does it have on it now?
