Curb is Larry David’s anger unleashed without Jerry to rein him in.
It’s the random/unscripted lines that Larry throws out that are what makes me laugh the hardest.
When he was house hunting and the lady was showing him the ocean view, he first said he loved the sea because his dad was an Italian fisherman. She then said she saw a whale breach that morning and he asked if it was ok to shoot them because he loves having blubber for breakfast.
In agreement that Curb had a couple slower seasons, Seinfeld was consistently funny/higher quality, it isn’t remotely close that I’ve laughed harder at Curb.
Mike, you should do an ep on Redbar… all the podcasts bring it up and I don’t even understand what it is

I feel like the character of Larry David on Curb is equivalent to how Howard Stern is on the air.

@@josephkain6213 actually no. I thought about that before I wrote it.
I still think he’s an exaggerated version, on air, of who he is, but he has changed into something most of us no longer identify with. It just happens to be that his show was hilarious until around 2-3 years into Sirius. The current version is abysmal.
Curb is such a great show for people who get it its not necessarily for everyone but I loved it
Elizabeth margaret and larry is maybe the best episode of the series
I think of curb as rated r Seinfeld. I think i feel the same as you do mike. Seinfeld has just been on 10 times a day for the past 20 plus years so it def feels like i like it more but the quality and laughs per episode of curb is really unmatched.
Sopranos and curb being 2 of my top 5 is worth the hbo max subscription alone
Now that the shows over I wonder why Larry beat up Elmo a few months ago... I thought for sure it would play a part when the guy from the Today show was on

My introduction to curb was in 2004 I came in my parents room (I was 8) and I saw Larry poke Ben stiller in the eye with a skewer. Pretty pretty pretty good.

Similarities, for sure. But the one we played was almost an exact copy. That's much more rare
I agree, this was the funniest show I have ever seen. I never watched 9 onwards, as I didn't want the magic ruined.
