Tim your comments section seems to have many horsey people who are very knowledgeable and who are right with you. Its a pleasure listening to you and reading their obviously knowledgable comments too. Thanks everyone. ❤

The uneven movement is still there but greatly reduced, and his rear stride is less contracted. I see it more pronounced when he's traveling to his right than his left, and notice it best in your seat from the back rather than his legs. Your left hip drops more than your right when he trots to his right.

I saw the exact same thing but initially didn't wanna comment in case I am just imagining it 😊

I think initially to the right he shortstrided a few times but got much better before you went left, his trot to the left looked really good. He appeared pretty even on his strides. Great job on Calypso and Travis/Traveler seems to be doing well. I think the stifle injection was a success!

He looks better on the left hind not as short strided at walk see short striding at trot. Will have to go back and look at previous videos to compare.
Do think it's improved but not 100%.
Calypso is doing so good what a nice horse!

I see some improvement from the first video.

Still a little something there. Walks the same stride length both directions, so feeling better I imagine. Has a bit of a flip with that left hind pastern. I’d have to see him pre-injury, but he’s pretty consistent at not particularly tracking up behind in the walk/trot both directions, so perhaps that is his way of going.
Following, as I have a 3yr old hit a growth spurt that made him sticky behind for a few weeks.

So nice to see calypso calm and moving with another horse doing different gains 😊❤

Calypso's side eye as they go past the camera! Lol

What I noticed is a problem with the right hind pastern or foot. When Travis walks in this video the right hind pastern is bending farther towards the ground, than the left hind, with every stride. I believe he has some kind of ligament injury. I believe the vet is looking in the wrong area possibly.

Hi Tim, just wondering if his vet has ruled out DSLD? I’ve missed some of your past videos on him, so I apologize if this condition has already been addressed.

A lot better, but not quite 100%. He looks happier in himself, though.

    Seems very good evenly

One other observation is his tail carriage, always lifted and cocked to one side or the other, even at a walk. Does he do that at liberty as well, when he's just chillin'?

  • @raecrowe9514

Actually it's weird, but you can almost hear it in his hoofbeats, as if one foot is striking the ground with less force than the others.

He definitely looks to be striding deeper with his right hind especially at the trot.

The left hind seems to be moving with a longer stride than the previous video. Not as obvious at the walk or the trot.

By the way Tim, hope you saw my recommendation of using montelucast Rx for your allergy. Highly effective in easing the symptoms you are subjected to. Also known as singular.
