Good find, that was a honking big wedge. Those are always nice to see over open country, where they aren't damaging more than a few crops or scrub bushes. Any tornado without tragedy is a good tornado.
@@silverstatehighiron Over 200mph would make it an F5... If there's an official wind recording that high, why can't they just up the rating? It just seems too circumstantial in regards to when it does damage in its life cycle.
@@mikesteelheart over 200mph wind DAMAGE would make it an EF5. This one obviously only created damage in the EF3 category. Maybe have a read up on the Enhanced Fujita scale, it'll explain why tornadoes aren't just rated on the wind speed or size alone. It does make sense when you research it a little more. Have a great day!
@@kristibeauty9618 No, I understand how the EF scale works... Usually it's an accurate system but it's flawed because it only takes into account damage. Let's say a tornado does EF1 level damage to some structures but eventually reaches EF4 level winds and hovers in a field, it's rated an EF1. A lot of very powerful tornadoes form in areas where they can't accurately quantify damage to justify a proper rating.
Great footage of a non-rain wrapped giant wedge! Looks to be around a mile wide! I don't think there's anything more terrifying on earth than a mile wide wall of 200mph winds. Literally a nightmare, good thing it didn't go into a populated area...
Yeah there's no way this thing only had 140 mph winds. Closer to 200 than anything. If the whole wall cloud is rotating it's gonna wipe out whatever it hits.
I stayed due east of the tornado up until it made a hard north turn into the precip. Got to within about 300yards of it at the intersection on that dirt road. (buffalo rd and N60th rd) i think.
Weirdly enough I haven’t seen tornado hunters post anything on their social media’s since the show ended. But yet there they are in this video! So weird. Anyone know if they still chase? Are they still all together or what?
This the one thing southerners and northerners agree bur unlike the plains people in Kansas thet can see where its going because of all the flat no mans land, but in the south there's tons of trees obstructing view's and at night when the weatherman says go to shelter they seriously literally mean it.
I don't know how you guys get up so close and personal with this Beast I wouldn't make a very good Storm Chaser cuz I'd be trying to run the other direction
There isnt anything anyone can do about it either😒 Except sound the alarm..to sound the alarm! Who was that guy got killed by in the el reno event? it killed him..a Friend ..and his Son.. It Rolled up his car into ball. He got trapped .. Supposedly he was Mr safety and a leader among chasing tornadoes and gathering data.. I lived in Joplin before the F5 I lived in Stockton mo. Before it was was swept down to it's foundation's.. I know everyone has to die eventually i prefer not to have my face peeled off by a tornado💀
I like these storm chasing videos but most of the time on mute because really with all the yelling. Not even in porn do you hear people screaming how huge it is ever two seconds.
Great footage, but can you not scream into your microphone over and over? I can see that it is big. I don't need to hear you yelling that multiple times.
You may not understand but there are people out there that can record, steal, and use footage of others for there own gain, therefore the NFB. Need to protect my content!

DEBRIS!!! :O
Did we see the same video? My first thought:We got a screamer. Turn down volume!
2:48 are you sure about that?
Or oh God
REED TIMMER! There, I said it for you!
Easily one of the best tornado videos of 2018
Thanks man1
@@coloradoweathernut1867 You're quite welcome!
Great video massive wedge great structure the mesocyclone is almost on the ground! You can hear it roar looks minimum a f-2 probably f-3 strength
Rated Ef3
@@coloradoweathernut1867 Had wind speeds recorded over 200 MPH. Lack of damage though.

Nice vid, not too much yelling and swearing so all in all a good post. Thanks
REED TIMMER! That's who he is talking about, folks!
Looks like the wall cloud is on the ground.
Look at the rotating rainbands on the right side of it it's almost as if the whole mesocyclone is on the ground
Great work. Best video of this tornado that I've seen.
Perspectives Project thanks!
Can you imagine the adrenaline rush these guys get while chaseing tornadoes ?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you see ground-level scud rushing in to the edge of a wall cloud, the tornado is probably a lot wider than it seems.
Very nice, I watch when you live stream, you are one of the best out there for sure.
appreciate the feedback! I try my hardest to give the fans a good show to watch on the streams!
3:50 "god damn... look at that fucker!"
my exact reaction every time I see a huge tornado LOL
Beautiful storm.
what was the rating on this one? Kinda has similar visual characteristics to that nasty one that hit Canton Texas a few years back.
EF-3 but was much more powerful. Luckily it only affected a few houses

Was this tornado HUGE ?
Excellent
Only, If I had a dollar for everytime, I hear "Omg, huge tornado......there's a huge tornado on the ground..."
Awesome recording! 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks! Was definitely an adrenaline rush!
You were north and east of the cell? You appear to be moving parallel, at times waiting for it to make some distance between you.

Especially in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Very cinematic!
is it, is it huge?
Some new guys in town! Filming,.....And filming right!
Top footage.
Anyone else see how close it came to hitting that white house or structure at 3:17
1:05 look at the evil skull faces inside the tornado. 😱
How can a tornado be so hideous and so beautiful at the same time. Also instant like from me for not screaming like a idiot about the tornado

I might seem crazy but for some reason I'm very obsessed with tornadoes 🌪 I'm not sure if that's normal or not lol I think I might need serious help
I thought for sure that little white farmhouse was history but it looks like it survived...
Where is the dominator?? I never see it anymore.. 🙋🍻👍😀

Ever look at tornadoes and think:
Why the sky trying to kill us??
Wow cool
I hope 🤞 nobody got hurt or killed or injured 🤕 by the tornado 🌪 warning ⚠️

Beautiful farm land, but how do people survive when their crops are torn up from these stupid tornados every other week?🤔
😱😱
That's a very huge vacuum 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Moster twister
be careful David Baxter
I often wonder how storm chasers film a tornado through a side window while driving forward without running into anything.

Please, no more yelling.
Okay I'm from this area, and I know Culver area and tescott and this didn't look like the Tescott/Culver area at all. My grandma lives out there. 🤔👎
