Great video just got a used Prius Plus and had a dash cam fitted by a so called professional installer. The passenger side trim was not refitted correctly and on seeing your video I was able to rectify it in minutes. I would never have figured out the two pins to remove the clip. Thank you so much.

I managed to do all this without disconnecting the battery.
The sensor is bolted in the middle of the A-pillar. As long as you dont hit it, you will be fine.
My advice would be that you do not mess with the A-pillar while the engine is running. The car running is the only time you risk setting it off. The car knows to not set of airbags when the car is turned off.

My new 2024 Toyota Corolla le did not have the clips on the plastic hook as shown in your video unfortunately. I’m guessing a unique set of pliers that curve at 90 degrees are needed to get it completely off since the plastic anchors looked like they needed to be rotated 90 degrees to fit through the slot to completely take off the pillar.
I did manage to get it off enough to route & zip tie a dash cam wire down so it doesn’t obstruct the airbag.
It wasn’t easy at all lol, but I’m very amateur in car DIY stuff. So someone more familiar might have a smoother experience.

Mine only had one clip instead of two (the one near the top). I also didn't need to remove any weatherstripping. After three years I was finally able to get this trim to sit flush! Thank you!
