Justin and Flea from RHCP are the reasons I even picked up a bass, after playing guitar for like 12 years! Playing bass is a completely different feeling than playing guitar.
And....IT WAS FREAKING GREAT LIVE!!
Experienced these guys in concert last month. They sound almost exactly the same live as they do on their albums, it's unreal.
Saw them live for the first time last year. It's crazy how when live the bass literally vibrates your heart in-between beats and how Danny's bass drum is just as low, deep and powerful as Justin playing. I was also amazed to see Danny play the 2nd guitar during the first half of Culling Voices.
This is my favorite song off this album. Makes me feel better about hitting middle age 😂

Time does not pass while you’re listening to TθθL. It is conceivable to achieve immortality by creating/playing a mix wherein there are no gaps between their songs.
I saw Tool live back in January for the 3rd time on this tour and Invisible live is just stunning. That solo is Justin Chancellor on the bass, he kills it everytime.
As a brand new 50yo, this song has special significance… more years behind than ahead, strength waning, racing against the darkening when usefulness will fail me.

It's impossible not to get hyped by that riff on 13:46. Adam is such a genius to put out something so simple and yet so "powerful". Couldn't think of another word rn sorry. lol

It really starts at 13:36, but yeah, that may just be my favorite riff in all of Tool's discography. So damn good!
I can't count the times this song has made me sob. It's an amazing masterpiece.. it hits so hard but yet it's soft and beautiful too.

On the tone, I absolutely agree with you. He’s a fucking tone master (and a master of volume swells).
I may be wrong, but I seem to remember reading something about Adam not using any overdrive or distortion pedals. It all comes straight from the amp directly.
Either way, I listen for hours letting it seep into every pore of my body.
