I've watched a number of these off grid cabin projects on YT. Yours is, by far, the best one.
Really appreciate that 👍 Thanks!
We are all guilty of procrastinating, even with the jobs we like to do. I enjoyed you video, thanks
Yes! Thank you!
Nice coffee table, and interior wall interior living room, and wooden doors
Thanks 👍
I love your table! It is all good! Simple and cozy!
Yes! Thank you!
Have been watching the entire build and I am still very impressed. I still think your cabin is the nicest looking and best built one on RUclips. The design, the construction technique, the size, the features and the setting are all exceptional. You are one lucky person to have this cabin. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Thank you for continuing to share this project with us. Kind Regards, Randy Wiley @ Coyote Sticks RUclips channel.
Thank you. Really appreciate that 👍
I’m by no means a woodworker myself, but anyone that has built a cabin as you have, I would pick your craftsmanship first. You have done a great job. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you. Much appreciated 👍
Excellent work as always. I really like that coffee table and the green with the stain really pops.
Thanks 👍
If you stay there full time that is good but if you dont take all the things you want to keep with you when you leave. Put up trail cams and have good locks on your doors.
Thank you 👍
I definitely would have run a bead of caulk where you put the trim to cover the OSB, as well as the end of the end caps, & the tops of the end caps
You have done an awesome job neighbor
Thanks neighbor 👍
Wonderful
Thank you
You might consider a little butane stove, like Gas One, for some small cooking, boiling tasks. In one of my houses, that is my only stove. I bought it as a temporary stove and found it was all I really needed. I do a lot of cooking, boiling water, etc., using it. Guess it will not be an issue with getting the wood stove going in the winter but in warmer months it might be a good alternative to getting the wood stove fired up.
Thanks for the tips! I’m currently using the wood stove on my front porch during warmer months.
The blocks on the end s of your timbers cool. I have thought about building one myself.
Thanks. Good luck 👍
You probably already know that. Great job.
Thanks!
Love your vision.
Thanks 👍
Big respect for this amazing cabin, from 🇨🇭
Thanks for watching 👍
I love your little cabon
But I like the rustic coffee table you made. :) My family would call that a blanket box.
Thanks. Will definitely store some blankets it. 👍
What colour is that green? Grinch threw up green yuk
Thanks 4 the videos. Nice
Haha...it was pretty awful. The stain really helped out.
Why didn’t you put heavy duty gauge color tin roof
công việc của bạn thật tuyệt vời
Thank you 👍
I was just wondering if you have ever set your woods on fire. I would never have the nerve to use at burner like that without a good water source which you don’t seem to have. 23:21
I've only burned down about 5 acres so far, so not too bad.
Just kiidding. Never came close to burning anything down. Woods are very damp where I am. Lots of springs, creeks.
Never store firewood under your house. Bugs. Rodents. Rot. Wetness. Sawdust. You will probably never use every single peice before adding more, or keep it pristine, so put yourself a woodshed some steps away from your cabin and save some grief.
Hi cabin kiti chan aahe ......nahitar to dusra video pahila
Where did you buy your kettle?
I think on Amazon?
On the 2/8 are they treated and what do you seal it with
All untreated. I did put timber oil on the south facing side to protect against UV in winter when leaves are off the trees.
@@TheOffGridExperience thanks. I'm fixing to start building on your format a 16/20 . But I'm putting in a rootseller
🙂👍
👍
No please don't Julian is absolutely perfect... That's the way I want I don't want to refine to the point for your afraid to touch it I wanted to be rough.
😊😊😊
👍
Where is your bathroom or do you have an outhouse? Good job otherwise.
Thanks. Here's the final video on bathroom series.ruclips.net/video/SlNWw5ikKmI/видео.html
@@TheOffGridExperience Thanks.
Couldn’t have a wood stove in California government over reach.
Wow, that is crazy. Vote them out of office.
@@TheOffGridExperience too many liberals
@@TheOffGridExperience you can not build a house in NYS without having electric heat.
Yeah, that green paint is hideous
Yep. It needed to be toned down quite a bit. Looks good now though.
Nice. A stupid Bluetti commercial.
Haha….yes.
❤❤❤❤
👍
love the cabin but this presentation was boring..................
Awesome, a house with a very beautiful color, I have the greatest admiration for you and what you have achieved, a house with a very beautiful color...! How did you do it? Please let me know?
It's great to see your relaxing videos, I wish you good health💗💗
Hello you two, your garden is very large. I discovered that there are some vegetable plants similar to those in Vietnam. I think it would be great if you could buy some Vietnamese vegetable varieties to grow in your garden. adorable pets, you are a beautiful girl who loves your videos from Vietnam
Hello Hoang Huong, nice to meet you here, how are you today?

I have the Greatest Admiration for you and what you have achieved. The Cabin is a stunning work of creative ability. Many people can build a cabin but it is the creative touches that really make anything stand out above the rest. I am convinced when we make something out of our dreams, it adds a dimension to the project and at that point it becomes extraordinary! Congratulations! Extraordinary achieved. Well done.
Thanks again Billy 👍
Actually never thought of building exterior walls that way… damn good job
It's absolutely awesome. I'm glad Bluetti reached out to you. I've seen them on other channels, and their products look great. You've done a great job building this cabin. I'm sure it's nice to stay there. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks. I’m impressed with the Bluetti so far.
Bro.......don't ever apologize for any of the work you've done. It's kick ass!!!
Thanks 👍
It is amazing what you have achieved. Love how you pay attention to detail. You are ready for whatever this winter throws at you. I look forward to all the videos you produce. You are a man of many talents my friend.
Thanks again 👍
Been following your progress all along. Pleased to see it has all turned out so well for you. If anyone tells you you should be only using hand tools, then answer them in the same extreme, and tell them they should only be using lumber from trees they grew from acorns. Now enjoy the fruit of your labor, may blessings and prosperity be yours.
Thanks for the comment and following since the beginning. Much appreciated 👍
I just binged watched every video the whole build that I am very impressed. Can’t wait for more videos. Great job.
Bluetti, owned by Power Oak, a Chinese company, that sources the batteries from another Chinese company. It's unfortunate we can't have American companies providing our power.
Your cabin is looking REALLY GOOD. Great job
Thank you!
Your cabin is one of the best I saw here in YT.
Thank you. Much appreciated 👍
The green chest
Burning the wood gives it that beautiful. Color as well as protection from insects.
Yes, it certainly helps!
I thought you were going to say … purring like spook, posse or posset. Miss those beautiful critters.
😂. the posse.
Just speechless ❤ BEAUTIFUL & COOL...wish I had one....how many times have ya heard that😂❣👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
I think your wood working skills are cool, you don't mind if a copy you do you?

Thank you 👍
Welcome back! Good to see your videos back! Hehehehe
Thanks. More on the way 👍
Everything I've been reading BLUETTI is the product to have. If financing ever gets better for me I'd jump at the chance. Just for emergency if grid goes down ,for my medical equipment cpap, and oxygen concentrator
The AC300/B300 unit is pretty nice 👍
wha6 type of chinking?
LogJam 👍
Man I really like your cabin it's just so cool.

Very cool!
New to your channel but I love what you are doing. Your cabin is amazing. I’m sure you have already answered this but is this just a weekend type project for you? Also, are you married with kids? Just wondering where you find the time to get all of this done without getting divorced 😅
Thanks for the comment and welcome aboard. I work full time so this is mainly a Saturday project for me. I’m closing in on 2 years this November 1st and should have it mostly wrapped up and furnished. My wife and kids are finally starting to spend time there now that it is “habitable” haha…
Looks great, nice touch with the scorching!👍👍
Your achievements are extraordinary .. Thanks A LOT for sharing your knowledge.
❤ love from Québec
Thanks again 👍
Some sects of our local Amish here in central Pennsylvania, use LP gas refrigerators.
I've seen those and small LP stoves.
Great attention to detail. I noticed your first 11 videos are not in the video list. Subscriber #13
Thank you! I'm doing a complete 2 year compilation video releasing soon. That will take the place of the older videos!!
You are rounding third brother. Everything is looking absolutely amazing. Great work and dedication. God bless. Oh, you have some nice cherry trees around your cabin.
Thanks for comment 👍
future bee's nest under those caps. FYI
might wanna cap the bottoms.
Yes. Plan to put 2x2 pieces underneath in the spring to fill in the gaps.
Great video! Keep up the good work. Do you have a storm cellar nearby?
Thanks. Nothing yet but a root cellar is in the future plans.
Love your videos often thought about living off the grid myself very interesting
Awesome, thank you!
How big is this cabin the main area no add ons definitely gave me an ideas for mine
Main structure is 12x16.
Get your self an impact driver, will change your life
I have one and use it occasionally. Prefer a drill for some reason.
Can you give me the height of the cabin, by the way it looks great 😃👍
Thanks. I think it's about 16-17ft.
I've missed your videos. Always enjoy seeing your progress. Glad to see you are back at it. Cabin is looking so good! Tom Ireland.
Thanks 👍
You have a fine built cabin.
Thank you 👍
I love watching cabin builds.
I tried in colorado for 16 months. Could never get a septic system installed. After 40k to the building dept, engineer and the 1 and only installer approved by the building dept , I ran out of money. My 80k estimate became 207k and still maybe another 20k to do the septic, if not more. I sold at a loss, vowing never to build in the US again.
What are you guys doing for waste water?
Great work and accomplishment ! I'm impressed 👏 ... oh , and envious. It's beautiful 😍 THANKS for sharing. Alan 🇨🇱
Just amazing
Thanks 👍
Hey Jamie
The old ways were not perfect, the old ways were practical.
The glory of DIY is you keep building and finishing till you like it. Everything you’ve done is amazing.
Yes. Looking for a happy medium between the old and new. Thanks 👍
WOW! Way do go, absolutely amazing CABIN. You have done well!
Вот теперь вкурил по купе- двери, бро.
I cant for the life of me understand why none of you people who make off grid - or survival - videos in North America use soap stone stoves instead of these totaly worthless iron stoves which doesnt accumulate any of the heat, which quickly disapear unless you constantly feed it new wood. I seriously dont get it.
First off, tase have been the most fabulous fun vids to watch. I can't seem to find apples to apples on our blu eti costs…I know you were probably given these to review…but do you know what the mere mortal would have to pay for your set up or the plus one if it came to that?
Love the free chest
Thanks. It’s functional at least.
Lol nevermind bro I guess I didn't wait long enough to listen to your rest of your story
Haha…glad your question was answered 👍
@@TheOffGridExperience ty
Use the scrap pile for the woodstove! 🤘😁
Absolutely! Enough scrap to heat for the winter.
Anda benar benar hebat, bisa membuat kabin sebagus itu.
Thank you 👍
I am new to your page and would like to know did you build your cabin and if so I would like to know how you did your side walls 🧱 on keeping in the heat and keeping out the cold 🥶 in the winter time ???
Scorching your cabin makes your cabin fire resistant.
Yes, it does!
yes , oxygen carnt fuel the fire to do it to roof timbers
Have you built bedroom furniture yet?
Not yet but planning on it soon 👍
Run a bead of caulk or even that chinking material along the top of that trim piece you put over the osb where it meets the wall. Water will drip behind otherwise. And now that you’ve covered the edge of the osb it won’t dry, just absorb and rot. I like your coffee table/chest.
Yep. Already doing it 👍 Just didn’t film it. Thanks👍
@@TheOffGridExperience awesome. Didn’t mean to come off as a know it all. Love the cabin build and want to see you enjoy it for many years.
@DrewEdwardBacklas Not at all. Glad you have enough knowledge to even mention it. Most people wouldn't even think about that.
Capping those ends sure makes it look complete.
Hats off brother.
However ... it's a little too much burn. Too dark
Sorry. Too much talking.
Thanks for watching 👍
Approximately where is this? I'm east Tennessee.
Middle Tn, about an hour south west of Nashville.
@@TheOffGridExperience I should explore that area. We arrived in TN only last year. It must be nice to stay there!
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving.
From British Columbia, Canada.
Enjoying watching you use your talents.
This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Capping the ends of your "logs" put a nice finishing touch on them.
Happy Thanksgiving 👍
Just put in a regular refrigerator it won't draw as much as that smaller portable thing is
I would have loved a man that would be a nice cabin and have your skills and love for work
I would have used some tinted silicone caulk on those seams…
I’m using LogJam chinking material. Works well but is tedious.
@@TheOffGridExperience Yeah. I can imagine. Just caulking the shed I built last summer was a time consuming.
I'm impressed with your building skills and your woodstove cooking skills😀. How bout a update on future projects...
Coming soon! 👍
After you burnt everything on the outside, did you stain and/or seal it as well? Awesome videos. Starting my 20x28 in the spring time. Can’t wait
I did stain the south facing side due to UV exposure in fall/winter months. It gets very sunny without leaves on the trees.
GOOD GREIF. DROP THAT DAMNED BACKGROUND MUSIC. HAD TO CLICK OFF
TIP : kitchen sink drain : dig a trench under the bucket , a foot wide foot deep and 8foot long , fill with gravel , no mud problem
Thanks Terry 👍
