Amen! I agree completely. Most RUclipsrs think it necessary to just pointlessly "jabber" thru their entire video, then put some horrible and way too loud music over it all, I don't / won't watch those, I turn them off. - This video was great, very well done, I really enjoyed it! 🙂👍

@@blackspruce1861 I just thought you were so clever in the problem solving.
      Raising the wall alone.

Great job my friend! Tho I'm a musician by trade, I always loved working with wood. In my early 50's I built a studio and a shop mostly by myself and then when I retired to the Mts of NC I built a smaller version by my house at age 74. Tho smaller, it still took a year because I had slowed down a bit lol! But I love building and the reflection time it affords. I think a lot of us who are creative are loners to some extent. I just wish I had the expertise, land and money to build something like this. I just like to watch these videos and imagine how awesome it would be to have something like this.

You and your brother sound a lot alike, I enjoyed his cabin build from start to finish. Keep up the good work, I really like the idea of using a ledger instead of running a bunch of joist hangers. Seems faster and with a cabin that small im sure its plenty strong with 4 16d nails where each 6x6 post is located.
