You make the same job, even more, with bmw standard tools for free and k-dcan cable 30 bucks, and little study. No need 2k tools and expensive subscription. I have k-dcan cable working great with Ista-D and Ista-P oem software. Like i say you need some research.
Hi Actually, I don't... 😋 As you will see in future videos, also have ISTA-D and ISTA-P running with a D cable... And as I have also shown in past videos, I done many jobs with BMW standard tools... The thing here is, I have this tool to work on multiple cars... and it happens that it can also do this job... is practical and easy to use... So I guess I was jus being lasy and did not wanted to fire up the BMW laptop...😊 If I only worked on BMW, I agree, that I would not need this 2k machine, and pay for subscriptions... Hi there BMWTiGER here, great video again! I talked with you about cruise control retrofit LDM etc. And i did it with succes. But the part where you did the used module programming was the same situatie I had with the LDM unit(used & other VIN), but I just used ista P (“replaced a unit? YES”) and also just continues. Anyhow great videos keep it going!
BMW take it to far. Cars do not need fibre optic cable. If it goes bad how the hell are you supposed to fix it? Impressive job by the Maxysys being able to recode that module. I had no idea it could do that on BMW's. Great video.
Hi Loads of other makers are using optic network on their cars... To be fair, is not that complicated once you get you head around it... I guess that the implementation of this type of network on the airbag systems is probably a bit too much, but for some reason, probably data speed etc... they decided that this would be the right way... I got the following Codes A375 , 93A8 , I replaced the battery about 6 month back and also a computer fan that goes in the front of the car under the hood to keep the ECU Cool now the airbag light came on months later , Any advice please thanks

Well, I think you already nailed it... if you disconnect it and the battery stops draining.... However, this systems are all interlinked... but if you are getting a fault for this module, the it might be that it is not going into sleep mode when connected, and therefore drains the battery... Great, great video I was waiting long enough for someone to publish something like this. However I got BMW E65 and all the BMW tools. You said you flashed your own module before. I got the same 93F9 error and I am a bit scared to flash the module. Do you have a video or a list of steps. I've been around the forums a lot but everyone has a different procedure. Any help will be appreciated. Once more, really good job!!! :)
I have reflashed it with the MaxiSys... not with the BMW tools... But, if you are getting this same fault, just replace the 2 big capacitors inside the module... look on eBay, they are there for sale... that most likely will solve your issue... @@LMAutoRepairs I suspect Autel got hold of the BMW Ediabas/ICOM data and re-wrote the clunky BMW software. The avalilibiliy of the programming and coding data is one reason why I prefer bmw over other car makes. I suspect you could have changed this vin with Tool32 by re writing the AIF.

It is always the 2 big capacitors the fault and the problem in relation to the fault as they do not hold nothing but SH@T and the module will trigger the same fault codes as when the battery will stay unplugged for long period and then restart it...reflashing the module is only wasting of precious time and that's all. Nothing less or more.

This is a simple byte-flight error. It would take 2 minutes to diagnose with Ista and could be fixed with winkfp within 3 minutes.

I did a similar module replacement on a E85, in that case I was able to write the VIN with Tool32.
I only used tool32 a few times...

It can be quite powerful, "FG schreiben" can change the VIN in a good number of modules.
