Hi Daniel, the secret to over unity is shape of magnet. With commonly used magnets it won't be possible, explore triangle, ovel and hexagonal shape magnet ( you may have to specially get them manufactured but once done you can use them to create a wheel which has zero clogging (no back EMF) and no sticky points. Try this... it works for me.
Great project but did you for any chance tryed to use some sort of variabel counter weights similarely to distributor ? Perhaps that wuld help you some what minimise vibration from that mashine

The only way to tell if you are making any sort of energy is to measure how many Watts it takes to run the device and how many Watts you get out of the device. If the output Watts of measured energy is less than the measured Watts put into the device then all you have is a simple motor. All you seem to be doing is repeating what others have tried and failed to get going. If you are as smart as you think you are, then you must think outside the box with a completely different design. What you're wrong about is that the magnets are the input of energy, and unless the magnets are heated to the point where they lose their magnetic fields, almost all output is "free" in the sense it can be used on something other than spinning the wheel. The energy is not being created, just harnessed.

And what the formula is for Flux density / load × time that I can use To ACCURATLY measure the precise moment my 600lb lifting magnet will suddenly lose its magnetic field and drop that load.... Is it 2 months? 5 years? 50 years? If it's anything over about 2 hours we have some serious energy problems to work out..... The reason I post this question is because the answer is already well over the years mark. Have 20 year old magnets, recertidfied by OSHA themselves to be rated to safely lift that 600lbs years later.... interesting

When you build a prototype of any invention for the first time, the main goal is to understand how this invention should work at all to begin with, not so much on efficiency. We were impressed that it actually rotated between 7 and 10 rotations per second or 600 RPM, that is on the first attempt. It would take another half a dozen prototypes on the same invention to perfect it. On this prototype, instead of using a solid circular rotor for strength, we used a 4 arm rotor for see through purposes, that weakens the integrity of the rotor. We made room for 2 electromagnets, 1 on each side of the motor, but we only installed one. When the electromagnet turns on, it pushes the magnet slightly sideways, that is part of the noise you are hearing when the rotor turns. To get the most out of the electromagnet, the air gap between the electromagnet and the permanent magnet on the rotor should be about 1mm wide. Our gap is 1/4" wide which is which is 6.35 times larger which is not good for efficiency. In order to fix that problem, we have to build a second prototype with a solid circular motor with a larger shaft and bearings. That being said, the rotor begins to rotate at 3 volts DC at low RPM drawing a little bit over 1 amp. For the video, we used 6 volts DC at 4 amps, that is 24 watts of electrical energy. We attempted 12 volts DC and the rotor went very fast but it was making a very loud noise because the rotor was being bent sideways. The goal here is to use 2 electromagnets with the rotor being pancaked in between with a very small air gap that will keep the rotor stable and the use around 5-10 watts of electrical energy to offset the magnetic field and hopefully get more energy out then what it takes to run it. That will increase the RPM of the motor which will decrease the time that the coils have been energized and reduce the total power input to the motor.

Both machines I mentioned above function differently, it is suggested not to club them ( mix them) both, as it may not function very perfectly, but they function well independently
