Legit when it ended I was soul crushed because I knew the story hadn't really ended. It coming back in this fashion is amazing I haven't been watching anime for over 6-7 years and now every Monday I'm tuning in again like a giddy child :D
I been waiting over 10 years for this and bleach fans can back this up but the reputation of bleach has not been the best saying there is no story and that Ichigo has no goal. To see it on #1 on MAL and the anime production to back this up in every single episode brings me to tears bro. It is anime of the year.
Bleach's biggest advantage going in here is that it's the return of a long-running anime and, because of that, it's in the stages where it can capitalize on the major points from earlier on. This arc is entirely an arc that pays off the decades worth of setup from the original anime. The other anime that can be considered for 'anime of the year' are ones that are either just starting or still early on, so they have to spend more episodes setting things up then paying off.
True in a sense a lot of set up and great payoffs but u have to keep in mind that even this can be mishandled and would have led to a disaster like many animes who's final arc has been the worst part of it like naruto but bleach tybw for now has been peak fiction everything has been done so well the music the animation story(if kubo fixes it later on) this could really be aoty csm on the other hand is adapting its worst arc ryt now its peak comes later on probably in the second season
As someone who has read the manga, I can confidently say that the insanity that this arc will bring hasn't even started yet. Pierrot is going all out fr
@@daelanbro that's what I said the ending was bad it was peak fiction till the squads zeros demise then it goes downhill becuz kubo was forced to finish by shonen jump he's supervising this anime and has already many changes which have benefitted the anime so much bleach tybw is tuff contender for aoty if kubo fixes the plot holes and inconsistencies wiht the manga and changes the ending this could truly be one of the best anime arcs of all time
The Bleach anime surpased the manga in many ways in my oppinion. I do agree that if it has one flaw it's the pacing though. However for me I got so hooked watching the series that I didn't even notice it. At least they didn't pull a One Piece. Toei squeezes that IP out so hard it's crazy. There is so much more to come though in this arc of Bleach and other than the ending being rushed I never disliked it. People say it goes downhill from this point or that but the only thing worthy of being criticized is the actual last few chapters and only because Shonen Jump put an 8 chapter limit on Bleach for Kubo to end it
It will be in 4 cours estimated 13 episodes per cour. Basically we will get 13 then a couple months break between cours so probably binge watching after each cour finishes.
I liked this arc... But this isn't even close to be anime of the year, it's just entertaining, and if we talk about shonen i prefer what's happening in one piece.
@@pxmavr Unless something absolutely crazy comes out this year I think Bleach has it in the bag especially since the second invasion in my opinion better than the first
It’s peak but the manga went downhill after the squad zero fight. Ending was rushed as hell. I hope the fix this in the anime. Kubo is even working with the studio
Kubo is taking the opportunity to expand on stuff that was rushed in the manga. The OG gotei 13 is a big example of that, they were just kind of glossed over in the manga but the anime actually gave them faces, names, and scenes
They've already started adding big plot points to the arc already like the og gotei 13 and the real reason ichigo bankai breaks so I'm confident that the adaptation will be good
If it wasn't for Bocchi the Rock, Bleach returning in such great fashion would've made it my AOTY easily. I've been extremely impressed with how this adaptation has been handled so far.
Bocchi the rock is perhaps the most overrated anime of this season without competition. People on twitter were talking about how this was the best anime of the season, the best anime of the year so I had to see what it was all about. I can say I wasn't disappointed, adaptation wise very creative, you can see that the staff love the material they are adapting, animation wise 7-8/10 very good character acting animation, but Clowerworks has made much better anime this year animation wise. As for the story, a very sweet story, easy to digest, lovable characters and a little repetitive comedy. Also people say that it has better animation than Mob Psycho and Chainsaw man which I would disagree with, Mob Psycho and Chainsaw man are better animated, way better, Bocchi is on the same level of DiY this season as far as animation is concerned. I just didn't expect Bocchi the rock fans to beat Chainsaw man fans in the toxicity contest this season, I really couldn't believe how toxic CGDCT anime fans can be. This is not the anime of the season, let alone the anime of the year.
@@lxx2963 suit yourself if it's not your AOTY, since CSM and Mob Psycho seem more befitting for your preferences. 10 years ago, perhaps I would've said similar things. I respectfully disagree. IMO, "AotY" needs to bring something new to the table, and while the Bleach TYBW anime is excellent visually and musically.... the problem here is that the story is the same old tired formula recycled once again. Every major arc after the Aizen arc has been the same story... just with minor variations, and this final arc is no exception. Soul Society is destroyed for the n-th time, the only person who can save the world is Ichigo, and he unlocks another transformation that was actually there all along just that no one knew about it until now.... sigh. The Squad 0 BS is just to raise power level ceiling for the sake of raising it. The Unohana backstory had potential but Tite Kubo wasted it by not featuring that earlier in the series. Read the manga when it was fresh, had very low opinion of it. The animators did excellent work and I am watching purely to appreciate the animation. Chainsaw Man is my AotY. Every aspect is 10/10. Runner up (heh) would be Cyperbunk Edgerunner.
@@titan9546 I already watched Mother's Basement's video, and every point he listed as strengths are weaknesses IMO. I generally agree with his views, but not this time. Spent years writing academic papers on symbolism and philosophical themes in literature, so yes, I am aware there are deeper themes in Bleach.
