100% agree. When I saw him live he was amazing. Somebody in the crowd claimed to be related to him and he called his wife on his cellphone to verify it while the audience watched. Had the whole crowd laughing all night and still delivered an amazing performance. As others have said, I'd love to spend time with him. Seems like such a genuinely nice person.
Somehow both timeless and contemporary. Both introspective and distant enough to not feel like it needs to apply. All while remaining what feels original and authentic. I have to agree. I hope it keeps getting recognition for its nostalgia of our era.
I was in Chicago when this concert happened. I remember seeing the promotion for this show. But I wasn’t familiar with Wilco at all back then, it will take via Chicago from the Bears( that restaurant show) for me to know them a few months later. I left Chicago on May, and I don’t think I will be back any time soon. now this has become one of my favorite song. Seeing this video makes me so sad, wish I could have been there when I could.
He was channeling Cartman. Rainbows? I hate those things. I’ll just be sitting there, minding my own business, and they come marching in, crawl up your leg and start biting the inside of your ass…
More honesty without apologies, less judgmental of others you disagree with, less posturing and posing, less social media influencing, less speech codes, less bullshit and denial of reality. In other words, a world we no longer live in.
I agree. Sad really. Some people just can’t live with the fact some people just want to be left alone. They don’t want an ideology they don’t agree with shoved down their throat. That doesn’t make that person a bigot because they don’t stand with a movement that burnt down their friends business and livelihood for absolutely no reason in 2020. They don’t understand they are turning people against them. It doesn’t matter to them. It’s like they don’t know history. The Bolsheviks were all slaughtered after their usefulness was through….. Whatever, it’s just sad to see people actively destroying what seemed like a harmonious country 15 years ago.
I was watching a movie, and this guy walked into a record store. I thought that maybe I was supposed to know who he was. It was this guy. Didn't know who he was.
Jeff seems like a genuinely cool dude. I feel like I'd rather sit down and chat with him for 3 hours than try to hold a conversation with Jay Farrar for one minute. At the same time, any one of Jay's songs is far preferable to Jeff's entire catalogue.
They're not booing, they're chanting Bruce. All egos aside, If you lack the energy to play in tune, and sing in key, perhaps it's time to retire. You know, set it free. Only your true fans realize your worth as respected, established artist. ❤
We don't boo enough as a society. The man's a prophet.
Plus, it’s non violent!
What is a prophet?😮
I don't know if he's a prophet or not, but he sure is a funny son of a b*tch
Turned my orbit around
Pretty hip
One of the best parts of a Wilco concert is Jeff's banter. Some shows have more than others, but it's always off the cuff.
Yeah he’s very quick and witty

I'm brand new to him but in the short time I've seen /heard him, we seem quite alike in thought. Unfortunately not musical talent.. but oh well😊
It takes a real Rockstar to soak up the boo's of the crowd like it's sunshine. And it takes the Captain of a Starship to boo right back at them. Booo!
" I was raised by the praise of a fan who said I upset her." Mr. Soul.
a legend of music, Yankee, Hotel, Foxtrot. Best album ever.
Love how tweedy works a crowd. Dude's the boss.
Wilco channeling "Primus Sucks" vibes...love it!
I haven’t seen Wilco live in almost 20 years so I was surprised to see Tweedy looking a bit like Jerry Garcia.
Yeah... it's hard to unsee that. Oh well, the musicianship is still top shelf.
Yeah but what difference does it make?
@@Oaklandrosie A big gut makes playing the guitar harder. At least it did for me.
@@cisium1184 Well, I hear ya but it seems Jeff Tweedy is doing just fine. And his gut won’t stop him from writing songs.
Gets boo'd
Plays one of the best songs ever written
And Im not a die hard Wilco fan. This is legit one of the best songs.
Hands down.

"I hate you too!" this is why I love jeff

Refreshing! Glad I clicked into this. Thanks
What a refreshing dose of REAL Reality !
Jeff said "I fucking hate rainbows" at Lockn. People were looking at a double rainbow to the east, away from the stage, and he was jealous
He was channeling Cartman.
Rainbows? I hate those things. I’ll just be sitting there, minding my own business, and they come marching in, crawl up your leg and start biting the inside of your ass…
He needs to be canceling immediately as a homophobe.
I love this tune 🔥
And for our last number, Jesus, Don't Whine
4/20 in Clearwater Fl-love this band!
Like Dylan told the band to ''Play it fffffing loud '' when they booooed him in 1965 .....
Thanks for the upload! Good vid...
I love this.
Tweedy a “wrestling” fan? Plays the heel role fairly well.
Right on, Jeff!!
Where is Jason Molina when you need him?
Oh man. I just discovered his music -- obviously, way after his death. I can't get enough of the live Magnolia Electric Co. album 'Trials & Errors.'
i'm so glad you got the booing part! i was there and was hoping it was documented lol
Why the boos?
and to think i was this close to nabbing tickets that night :(
i love it!
Jeff’s the best ❤

my favorite concert clip immediately
the greatest bands of recent history
Wow..what a moment, would've loved 'being there' for that!
Only Tweedy could pull this off...😍
I can’t believe the guy who is friends with JPEGMAFIA and hates RADIOHEAD would get booed offstage!
Hilarious!
Jeff starting a Re Vo Lu Shin
In order to be understood, I should dislike this video to show that I like it?
Tweedy is the truth 🙌
Let them have it! Boooooooo!
Everyone put down your phone and let out an ironic boo! We don't have enough sarcastic contempt these days!
Are these the same guys that come out on mountain stage?
I was watching a movie, and this guy walked into a record store. I thought that maybe I was supposed to know who he was. It was this guy. Didn't know who he was.
"Hearts Beat Loud"? Nick Offerman has publicly expressed his man crush on Jeff Tweedy lol
@kameracamera8120 Yes, it was. I want to be the third wheel in that man crush.
@@telecasterbear apparently author George saunders beat you to the punch lol

When did Tweedy start looking like Jerry Garcia?
When he ate Jerry Garcia… and Cherry Garcia for dessert.
When he Turned 40, which is when Garcia started looking like Garcia. Old man tour bus belly.
It's a gradual process.
✌💀🇺🇸🌹
I think he looks a LOT more like Jack Black than Jerry Garcia.
HIs best song.
I think so too. That might be the one people are still singing in 50 years
No way , is one of his best songs
Video needs more Nels.
Our love is all of God's money
Everyone is a burning sun
I must admit I've never quite gotten used to the magnanimous JT....I preferred it when he spent half the night insulting the audience.
Nice SG
Wally! Wally! Wally!
so lucky to see them in 2007 before the total meltdown of society, by the way you like this band now?
BOOOOO!!!!❤
TWEEDYGOD
I’d pay money to see Wilco, unless it was a free concert. A controversial opinion I know, so boo, I mean, sue me.
Haha
Wow! He's really ballooned up since the Uncle Tupelo days. Still puts on a fun show. He's always had a fun way of making the crowd react.
I think he's actually lost a shitload in the last little while. He looked like Tony Soprano about to try out driving the Mystery Machine.
Balooned😂
@@jcarry5214😂
Looking like Jack Black's understudy. Then again. I looked better 20 years ago too.
@@joshevans3452 As did we all!
He gor a 500 000$ tour bus? if yes....f...ck!
What happened to the sound? Boo boo boo!
Provocative.
Is that Jack Black?
BOOO!
That's the spirit!
is that Jack Black?
It's Ned Schneebly
no its his brother jack white
😅he looks familiar..like that shallow Hal character😂

I also am a fan of Son Volt. Jay is touring Trace this summer. Hoping to see that show. Cheers!

Shouldn't hero worship be followed with rushing the stage, kicking their teeth in and slashing the tires on their $500,000 tour bus?
They didn't get booed off stage.
I miss Jay Bennett.
