- This was the last test flight of this 747-8 on 6th of April 2022.
After this test flight, it flew to the USA a week later. The interesting fact about this plane is that it's the first 747-8 that ever to be scrapped. The reason for this was that there was no use for it and it couldn't be sold..
Airline: Boeing Company
Airplane: Boeing 747-8JA(BBJ)

Boeing 747,is most beautuful airplaine on the sky
I wouldn’t go that high😎
In 1969 (9 years old) my parents moved us to Inglewood, CA, right under the flight path into LAX. In 1970, I remember seeing those 1st Pan Am 747's flying over, and I would run through a nearby field trying to get their shadows to pass over me (it happened once). In 1981 (21 years old) I worked on the ramp at LAX and used to sit and watch these babies land whenever I could. In 2015 (55 years old) my job was overseeing construction projects on the "airside" at LAX. And while the A380 is an engineering marvel, I loved being so close to the 747's as they took off and landed (I often stood with my toes on the line at closed taxiways within 150' of the runway centerline). I love this plane and am sad that production has ended. 😥
Any era of 747 absolutely transfixed me, A380's are incredible by their sheer size but there's something magic in the design language of the 747.....
I live just miles away from london heathrow. Miss the boeing 747’s flying overhead. We only see them rarely nowadays mostly cargo 😊
Took my first business flight on a 747 in 1971, Seattle to Chicago. Been on dozens of them since, NWA, AirFrance, KLM, Luft, Delta, Korea Air, Virgin. Never cease to impress.
Even today, she is one hell of a looking ship. I still think it’s one, if not, the best aircraft ever made and surprised nobody bought this lady of the sky.
Beautiful plane! I’d rather be in that plane than anything flying around today
Queen of the sky what a beautiful bird ❤❤
Like a Beluga whale taking flight! Amazing! Excellent photography.
The only plane worthy of being called a whale is the a380. Jumbos are magnificent aircraft.
So quiet! I remember as a kid plane spotting and having the classic 747-100s taking off , totalling different sound. Shame to see it being scraped.
The GEnx engines sound like hairdryers.
Stunning catch of the last test flight of Boeing 747-8BBJ!! 😮❤❤
Thank you.
Stunning by al measures. The sound of those powerplants. Geez!
I am surprised the US Airforce didn't buy it for the next doomsday plane!
Boeing could have modified it. Waste not want not? Easy come easy go! Waste is Boeing's trade mark!!
Waste? This 747 was worth more in parts than complete…
Best Photography, ever!!
Thank you very much.
Amazing as I love the Boeing 747-8 BBJ. Thanks for the video mate.😊
Thank you for watching

Tolles Video Elias
Gruss Raphael
Herzlichen dank dir.
I do not see any NAV nor STROBE lights active .... ?
In any case, what a beatutiful 748 she was .... her parts now must have found their way into other 748s across the globe.
Love the Queen of the Skies - majestic bird and those powerful engines. Amazing. Only a Avgeek and/or 747 enthusiast will ever understand.
Klasse Video
Dankeschön.
Sehr cooles Video mach weiter so, echt schade das die verschrottet wurde
Why did the speed brakes deploy then retract then deploy again?
The plane was worth more as parts than a working airframe.
The Engines especially.
One would think that someone would have taken it and converted it into a freighter or something. Or perhaps it was worth more in scrap and parts.
No conversion program, and it probably would perform worse than the factory built 747-8Fs, as well as lacking the nose door.
This will be the fate of every passenger 747-8 and A380 built once their original operators part ways with them, depressingly enough.
It is not reasonable to hold inventory, but if Boeing had mothballed this aircraft, the USAF would have purchased it by now.
The USAF wants the B747-8 to replace the E-4B.
Just recently they signed a contract to purchase a used 8 from Korean Air.
4:17 pretty shameful that anyone would scrap a 747-8 after such a brief service life
That 747-8 along with another one sitting in Victorville rn are SUPPOSED to become the new VC-25B’s for the USAF replacing the current VC-25A’s which are a pair of modified 747-200’s
Love the 380, but this is in a class by itself, super sexy.
😁
Like a lamb going consciously to the slaughter... Sad.
Ich verstehe das Video nicht. Worin besteht denn nun hier wirklich das Herausragende?
❤❤❤alt control esc unce in a whael 😮😮😮😮
It always amazes me that these monsters can get enough lift on the wings to get their considerable weight in the air. It's like a blue whale with wings.
Can't be sold? WTH?
Scrapped? WTH.
That’s stupid
