You can get a Forester XT for pretty cheap. Just make sure the radiator and headgasket is in good condition. I paid R10000 for a 7 year old model and it's pretty sweet. It's identical to the WRX in every respect, save for the body shape.

Nope, it's a standard factory WRX except it has an STI wing on the back, with 133.000 km (82.500 miles) on it. I converted the cost in euros (13.950) to dollars just to compare prices.
But then again, Holland is a small country so there aren't a lot of available offers... unfortunately. Still aiming for one though ;)

Ohhhh how my eyes rolled at the "vtec-lol" dammit lol. Even as a honda owner, I have great respect for Subaru. Truly EVIL tones, and not nearly as many electrical nightmares as Mitsubishi. Even though the EVO is a nasty track car, Scoobys all the way for me.

Stage 2 on a wrx/sti is not a rebuilt engine technically(contrary to popular belief). Stage 2 consists of a down pipe and either an intake or exhaust I don't remember. But its not engine intrusive like pistons or injectors or things like that.

yeahh subaru is so much car for the money compared to a boxter :D and you are kind of right with the car having to struggle more when pulling on four wheels compared to two, but pulling from a stand still in 1st gear both cars have more than enough torque to deliver maximum performance. The subie can still make wheelspin with all wheels, and if a car makes wheelspin that means it delivers more performance than it is capapble of transfering to the ground, aka in reality it doesn't struggle more(:

Als je het geld ervoor hebt en het kan en het wilt, dan kan je misschien is kijken op kijiji, daarop kan je ook voor auto's zoeken alleen komt het uit Canada, daar doen ze ook met Kilometer (dus KM/H en Kilometers op de teller) alleen wel betalen in Dollars haha :P

I own an STi but I have no trouble admitting that EVO is a better car. The only thing I like more about subies are the exhaust sound and interior, but that doesn't make up for how much more fun it is to drive EVO. Don't get me wrong, I love my STi and for me it's a best car in the world, but evo is still better.
I tonight had to keep my trap shut while 3 subaru guys bashed me. my blood was boiling and they're all family friends and i couldn't say anything. i just want to hear from you. why do you think the evo is better?

I can't decide between a 2007 Impreza or 2009 Impreza. The 2007 model is way more appealing to me, (body). The 07 has 70K and 2009 has 85K. Price: $9,995 for 09 and $9,550 for 07. Any thoughts people?

Stage 2 means the engine has been rebuilt for more horsepower :) But actually the stock subaru STI has 305 hp which is roughly the same as the boxter so the difference would not be that much, and no way near twice as powerful. And last, the car only has it's tires to deliver all its power to the ground and create movement, and since the subaru pulls on all four that means it has "twice" the traction compared to the rear wheel driven boxter.. so yeah it makes a hell of a difference ;)
