- After her 6 years of one-sided love, Kotoko got married to Naoki, and they went to Okinawa for their honeymoon. In flight heading to Okinawa, they meet a newlywed couple which disturbs their honeymoon. They face a crisis of post-honeymoon divorce, but after all, Kotoko has a stronger bond with Naoki and feels happy. When Kotoko goes back from the honeymoon, she is shocked to learn that their marriage paper has not been filed yet. I've always felt that Naoki low key wants Kotoko to be around him all the time. Sure he is annoyed on the outside, but in the deepest recesses of his heart, he feels happier, more settled, and secure when he can see Kotoko all the time. Don't you think so? And he talks to her about things. She's the ONLY person he opens up to about most things happening to him.

The fact is she is toooo much clumsy sometimes and Naoki is toooo much cold person all the times but sometimes his soft and warm side is just sooo much lovely. Only Kotoko can handle his cold character and only Naoki can bear her all clumsiness. They really balance perfectly each other. ♡

I think that is what makes his character fascinating, you never know how he will react in a particular situation. But he is not your typical bad boys that abuse women on a power trip. His character makes sense he hates over expression of feelings, shies away from sentiment and doesn’t over react that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know understand love or he is being cruel on purpose. He indulges her despite his own personal distaste of her antics that shows his love for her.
The way he just lets her be clumsy and almost expects it but still picks up the things he knows she’ll forget. That’s love right there. He’s like it’s fine if you’re clumsy, I’m a genius anyway.

He is never ashamed to tell anybody she's his wife. He's very proud of his decision to marry her. The reason why the registration for the marriage become pending was not because he was not sure but because he wanted his father's company to be stabilized before he married. But even when the marriage is not registered yet he thinks of her as a wife already. They did make a sexual contact during the honeymoon nonetheless

After she said she loved him, that unconscious and heartfelt smile gave away how much he really loves her. How smitten he is for her. This version of Naoki is my absolute favorite, he really takes out two main main traits out of the character of Naoki, first his introverted side and second his short temper. This make him hard to deal with but at the same time the way he shows his feelings is different from other people. Naoki also gets really annoyed when people try to control him, I think that’s why he was a little reluctant about Kotoko whenever his mom tried to pair them up. But at the end she really won him over. Even though he is such a difficult introvert, Kotoko really got through him, and helped him see sides of him that are not as perfect as he used to think of himself. We stan one of the best couples out there 🤍
I always replay the part where kotoko is introducing naoki as her husband to her new found friend Chris. And also naoki's expression after kotoko was done introducing him as her husband.

I watched the first season for the first time a few months ago and I was just always feeling bad for Kotoko coz her one-sided love was just going nowhere. Then I did a re-watch shortly after finishing S2 and that's when I started seeing things in Naoki's POV too. He really did start falling for her early on. ☺️

I watched this drama when I was 15, in highschool, now I am 23 and still enjoy it a lot. I rewatch once in a while.
As an ENFP myself, I got to learn a lot from this series about relationships.
I used to be insecure in relationships, friends often accusing me of "feeling too much." At first it hurt to hear that, but when one finally starts realising that they do need to grow up and get out of their comfort zone, they start becoming a better and stable person.
When ENFPs are young, they use feeling way too much and as they grow older, they develop functions like thinking and sensing too, which add stability to their personality without taking away their individuality.
Kotoko's growth in those functions or "maturing" was accelerated due to opposite nature of Naoki who set an example for her.
Similarly, Naoki's feeling function got better with Kotoko. (Naoki is claimed to be an INTJ, a scientifically acknowledged good match for the ENFP personality)
They're each other's growth and comfort. A perfect couple❤
Wow, thanks for sharing! I also see myself in Naoki's character. This show made me realize my personality. We are rational thinkers and less speak, easily got irritated or frustrated when things don't go to what we have planned, and act differently based on how we want others will see us. Even if it cannot be seen through me, I am also jealous of other people who can show their emotion and appreciate things around them that I can't even do to my family. I locked myself in my comfort zone which I hate about myself and now I think I need someone like Kotoko in my life. ❤
