About Me:
Personal Experience:
I grew up in an addicted family. In fact, it would be way easier for me to tell you who wasn't addicted versus who was addicted. Seriously, I have absolutely no memories of my grandmother without a glass of vodka in her hand. My mother died due to her addiction to methamphetamines. I've had countless addicted step-parents, and my older sister has struggled with serious (life-destroying) addiction for as long as I can remember.
All that being said, I always felt I had a great and loving family. My sister and I spent every summer swimming in my grandmother's pool. (the grandmother who struggled with alcoholism). We called her Mimi, and she was great. My mom was attractive and very creative, not to mention lots of fun!
Growing up like this gives me a unique perspective on addiction. I can know that someone is struggling with addiction but still see their wonderful qualities.
Professional qualifications:
After graduating from counselor school in 2004, I worked in a private psychiatric hospital for 10 years. This facility provided acute care (short term) for serious mental health and Substance Use Disorders. I learned a LOT from my experience working in a psychiatric hospital.
I got to see and treat almost every type of mental health and addiction issue you can think of, but it felt like a revolving door. I'd see the same people come in over and over and their families were absolutely desperate for help.
Unfortunately, the system isn't set up to help families in general. Knowing what it's like to live with addiction, I was all the more frustrated.
All this led to me deciding to leave the hospital and start my own addiction treatment center, specializing in addicted family systems.
Over the years, I had developed lots of good relationships with other clinicians, and I knew who was the best! I put together a superstar team, and we now run out own outpatient addiction treatment practice called Hope For Families Recovery Center.
We've worked very hard not to tie ourselves to the "big system." We don't work for the insurance companies. We don't work for a hospital system, We don't answer to anyone except our clients, their families, and the licensing boards that provide us with our professional license. We have all Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)-(which is mental health counselors) and also Licensed Addiction Counselors (LAC).
We don't provide inpatient treatment, but we do partner with a phenomenal sober living facility called Greenville Transitions. They offer top-notch sober living care for young men in the early stages of recovery. www.greenvilletransitions.com

Put The Shovel Down 👍🏻😁👍🏻
Is this a cure?
Hi Cj, No this isn't a cure, but it is a really good option for detoxing people. Detox just helps with chemical dependency. It doesn't fix addiction. However, it allows people to get stabilized enough to work a good treatment program.
Sounds like a tens machine and multivitamins, not for me!
@@PutTheShovelDown is there anyway I can buy the bridge device or some treatment facility that uses it?
I've been on methadone maintenance for over a decade and have never heard of anyone being on 600mg. Biggest dose I've ever seen is in the mid to high 300's which is rare.
Me too Amanda. I've been on Methadone for decades the highest dose being 125mg. I'm down to 60mg but 600mg that's insane.
Me neither-I would have thought that to be impossible. I’m on 75mg, & the most I was ever on was 100mg.
600mg it would be nothing but unwanted side effects. I am not sure where this information comes from but it seems incorrect.
Also the withdrawal symptoms they list seem to be missing vomiting and constant shitting. It's interesting what they are speaking about.
@@bellabear653 constant nausea & diarrhea. Constant. I had WD’s 1 time in my life-& that was off of about a month of Oxy’s. Maybe a bit longer. I was in hell for 2 weeks. Swore I’d never touch an opiate again. Then I got hit by a drunk driver 4 years later. The rest is history. I wouldn’t survive WD’s off of Methadone. & I won’t try. If it came to it, I would see to it that I wouldn’t have 2 try. That’s not cryptic, melodramatic rhetoric, that’s just the cold hard truth.
Same. I have a friend at 380. I’ve also been on maintenance for nine years now almost a decade actually starting to get to the point where I want to start seeing health affects how are your kidneys and blood pressure teeth all that interested to hear another long-term maintenance users experience as far as health
I'm super hesitant since all of you convinced me suboxone was a cure, meanwhile all it did was make the problem 100x worse
Sorry your went/going through that have you tried Kratom ?
You feel like sub made things 100x worse?
I suppose it depends on what drug you're coming off of but as awful as the detox from subs is, it allows your brain to heal receptors & to fix your life before having to face life without opiates
Blessings to you and yours!🙏🏼
Don,t have to believe everything you can watch on YT. When I heard that someone was carfentanyl addicted I was laughing and I knew it is a lie. Carpfentanyl is for elephants or crocodiles ffs it is 1000x stronger then fenthanyl it is fathal for human being no matter how addictive is he she. that is bs. I will check them on google I think they are not doctors even not nurses. If it can be solved in 10 days they will get Nobel Prize.

@@VicPoladian I had a 15 yr addiction to pain pills. To get clean I started with methadone and weaned off. Took care of my mental health while getting clean was very important to me. The depression I would get trying to get clean would always send me back into addiction but not this time. I got on meds and that helped 💯. I changed my mind set, meditation and diet n exercise. Now when I tell people I had a addiction they can’t believe it. I put as much energy I had put into my addiction I now put into making myself healthy. It’s work and not easy but totally worth it. Glad it was helpful!
This is all lost technology that we once had. The civilization that we are literally built on top of had technology used against them ( There are many underground and melted towns all over the world)
The people before us knew how to use frequency’s In the air for over all health for all and they had bells not for churches but for the frequency of the vibrations.
They even had weird flying machines that you can still catch a glimpse of online,
They had iron battery’s that went over 1000 miles on one charge and never died. Cars & trains ran on compressed air and other things like red mercury.
We can only have the tech that they allow us to have & that is Still going on.
There is one place left that had not been removed or suppressed by the parasite dark overlords and that is the zoo in Germany.
It is the happiest place in the world to be.
They might not of known that that the zoo had bells and frequency’s to keep everyone happy.
It’s always packed:)
I’m struggling to believe he was coming off 600mg of methadone with a 3 day taper and did fine … that’s insane . I didn’t even know 600mg of methadone was legal .. unless he was purchasing it on the street, but Jesus that’s 200-600 a day in methadone. I mean, the fent is roughly 100-200 a gram if it’s real carfent.
I just moved off methadone after 6 years of consistent use while coinciding use with carfent , about 1.5 g a day , had 3 months off car fent, even with my 180mg of methadone I still felt withdrawal symptoms from carfent. In 3 months I moved from 180-30mg of methadone and it’s been a bitch going to Subs, I lasted 40 hours of no methadone, and still had such a fear of precipitated withdrawal.

Omg when this can start helping infants born addicted this will be incredible!!!
Wow! I didn't even think about that but you're right!
That may be very challenging. FDA usually can be very strict with trying new drugs on babies. Their brains are not even fully developed. Maybe the injections, but I wouldn’t trust having slight electric shock to a new born medulla
I'm crying. I needs this
I would love to try it i have seizures so im stuck but i dont wana take pain killers any more idk what to do
Sounds GREAT. . . if you can afford it. Those who can't, I guess they're just out of luck.
I've always wondered how people in the medical profession sleep at night knowing that they have to turn away the financially unfit.
I couldn't do that!!!
Exactly. I went to Mexico to do the ibogaine treatment and after being charged $8000 and relapsing right when I got home, it’s very disappointing that these places aren’t better equipped to handle addicts. This place was run by a very egotistical Israeli man that was not open to constructive criticism. Not a good combination for treating heroin addicts.
@@bayareababe reading this made me sad. I really been wanting to figure out a way to do ibogaine. A lot of the people In South America chew it every day. They kinda believe it’s the ritual AND the ibogaine. But who knows. This is probably similar to that. A promise break that don’t exist

Omg!!!! Thank you for sharing this with me!!!! I wasn’t able to listen to it as closely as I wanted, but will as soon as I can. Did they say if insurance covers any of this????
I do think they accepts some types of insurance.
How many addicts do you think are able to hold a job? Much less,a job with insurance benefits? Unless this facility is accepting Medicare/Medicaid,seems like a lot of people are going to be left out of this new wonder. Wow! This seems amazing! I am definitely checking this out!!! I’m on suboxone. 20 MG a day. I’m ready to feel normal again!
Wonderful!
Yea im ready too. I only take half. 4mg of suboxone a day. Just want to be feel normal again.
@@sweetjennalee did you try this?
😢 I am crying for y’all you do not understand what you are up against get of sub as fast as you can depression is real shit from suboxine because it contain naloxone
I have taken 8mg subs for almost 2 years and I have been able to stay sober. I have a chronic pain condition & became addicted to opioid. The suboxone helps with pain and keeps me from relapse. When it is used right, it is a good thing.
Just wish people would stop making me feel guilty for taking suboxone.
I'm going to do some research, but does anyone know if this treatment is available in the UK?
How much do you have to come down in mg on methadone before you jump off and start Nad iv therapy?
Kids I know all there is to know about being a drug addict. Been on and off methadone and suboxone.. oh and all the illegal stuff too.. so let me say this.. the hardest part of staying sober aint the withdrawals.. that's a huge part of it.. but remember this my friends and remember this good.. u will never ever forget the way being high feels..not gonna go away.. ever!!! But that's fine .. you just need to be ready for it.. and u should try to focus on that so u dont freak out when u relapse.. the withdrawal can be soooo bad but it goes away.. it takes a long long time for some drugs
. Months for sure. Do not expect to feel normal for 6 months. . But u can and will recover from that part.. but kids u will never ever forget the feelings.. so just be aware if it.. withdraw will go away I promise you ..u will think it's never ever going away but it will.. but the memory will not.. u will need to deal with that.. trust me I know exactly what I'm talking about
Good advice, John!
You’re right.
One other thing I would add is, you can get clean a million times but unless you deal with the issues that caused your drug use to get out of control, those issues don't go away when you get clean they are going to come out again. The reality is drs and a therapist need to look at your history and talk with you to see if your issues can be helped if not then medicated therapy for life may be a better bet. The sad reality is Switzerland countries in Europe really handle these kinds of issues much better than the U.S and their success rates for medicated H.A.T programs are amazing.

My pleasure. Glad it was helpful 😀
Are there any clinical trials for the bridge? Cant find any.
“Your trading one addiction for another” this is quite simplistic. There is a distinct difference between addiction and dependence. Addiction is compulsion and drug abuse despite consequences. Dependence is the body adapting to having a drug and reacting when those drugs cease via withdrawal. People on medication assisted treatment are dependent NOT addicted. It enables people to adapt to life.
600 mgs in 3 days? Ummmm call me skeptical. 🤔
I was wondering if they meant he was on 600mg of methadone. And I completely agree with your comment!
You just spoke truth!! Also they said the guy went through withdraws completely in 3days. Then later said he wore 2bridge devices for 5days each. These people are horrible sons of bitches! It’s all about the money. They aren’t trying to actually help anyone
That's about right...bit addicted to any euphoria or pleasure seeking but dependant on Some type of pain relief when OTC does not do it. Wouldn't matter, analgesic, topical, but nothing much even available that works at all. Lidocaine patches help a little, essential oil rubs, combo of different stuff, but nothing works all that well....just mostly putting up with it. Sucks

1) There is absolutely NO way that someone would be prescribed 600mg of methadone. That would literally be 15 full wafers of methadone as a dose.
2) a 3 day taper of 600mg to 0mg is extremely unrealistic.

I'm super curious how this works for PAWS.. I know sub and methadone PAWS can supposedly last up to a year or 2.. ( I could be wrong on how long it lasts but I know its a long time.)
That's a really good question. I should have asked that question!
It is a long time and one of the reasons people relapse....and understandably! No one wants to feel like poo in various ways for days on end
Paws is horrible, only way around it is exercise, excercise, and good foods, supplements, vitamins, etc
If it's all true it really is exciting stuff, I honestly can't see it repairing brain chemistry so fast, well maybe I have heard about new drugs that rewires brain neuroplasticity, (basically it changes you neuroplasticity to when you were growing as a child, but don't quote me I might of butchered that)so if it's true clinically they can prove the success rate it really is exciting. But behaviourally their still has to be the support services in place. It's exciting
It's fun to see that other people get as excited as I do about this nerdy stuff! 😅 P.S. I completely agree with you abut the behavioral changes still needing to be addressed!
I love that nerdy stuff, my ex girlfriend had OCD I noticed so many similarities between OCD and addiction, 100% addiction is the by product and coping mechanisms for mental illness, well the most extreme cases. From my own experiences with addiction a lot of it can be linked to motivation and escapism. That's not even going into feeling disenfranchised from society. I think escapism really can effect being a productive member of society, then there's education and awareness to try and stop future generations from making the same mistakes. It's well know prevention is better than cure. Thank you for the heart and reply
Keith Wook wow! We are definitely on the exact same page with our beliefs about addiction. I think that teaching people to take care of their needs for meaning, purpose, and connection is the key for prevention. (I’ve got a video coming out about that soon). That would be way more productive than teaching kids to say no to drugs!
Can't wait, I love this sort of stuff, I have been known to get super geeky over it, exciting times were living in :) your doing such important work helping people truly give up addiction. I hope it comes to the UK I've struggled with addiction the services just aren't there :/

That's because I'm not a representative of this treatment facility so I don't know the answers to those questions. I just interviewed them so people know about this type of resource.
How long does the NAD keep the withdrawals away? What about 30, 60, 90 days later?? Does the withdrawals come back? If so, will boosters help? I just don’t hear anything about clients AFTER the 10-15 days is over. I know after care is almost required to help be more successful. Please let me know what it’s like 30+ days later?
Is ergotamine (found in Migril migraine tablets) an opioid?
Hi Saskia, I'm not familiar with that particular drug, but I did look into it a bit. From what I can tell, I don't believe it is an opiate. It works in a different way. Although from what I read, a person can have a rebound affect from it, so it probably can be habit forming. Apparently it can also be dangerous when if taken when pregnant.
Put The Shovel Down thanks so much, Amber. I’m glad to learn it’s not an opiate. I have become a bit dependent on it for chronic migraines but my endocrinologist has now guided me on how to get off it with slowly reducing the amount I take.

Hi Cj, good question. Its effective to healing the brain from chemical dependency but that doesn’t mean it fixes addictions. Addiction is the psychological part of the issue. I think these new treatments give people the opportunity to get well enough to begin to treat the addiction. It seems to be very effective for detox, but that needs to be followed by some recovery program.

It seems to be very effective for detox, but that needs to be followed by some recovery program.

Thank you, Amber. One can still dream!
Wow
Dr bob Beck brain tuner, is this very similar ?
The bridge seems to work on the same points on the EAR as ACUPUNCTURE DETOX . ????
Ear Acupuncture for detox has been around for years. I am an Acupuncturist and saw this used effectively in a detox clinic in the BRONX NY IN 1989.
I'm 68 and have had enough of the methadone program I want out but I'm in Australia
Does anyone know if insurance covers this???
I believe they do accept some insurances
I'm in Michigan how can I get this?
Hi BettaBeGood, You may have to travel to get this particular treatment. I think many people make the trip and stay in a near by hotel while they get this treatment on an outpatient basis. This particular treatment facility is called Recover Us
I did a 24 hour rapid detox years ago, for opiate addiction. It was very hard on the body and yu don’t suddenly feel normal. I was a zombie for weeks and I ended up relapsing. It cost $3,000 then. I regretted doing it.
Yeah same here. They definitely don't work off methadone
Are there any facilities on the east coast that do this
That's a good question. I wish I knew the answer for you. This particular place near Chicago Illinois.
There’s one in Jersey.
What's the name of place in new Jersey
How I can detox My nalbuphine without rehab

Where can I buy a bridge device?
Does this work for Benzo withdrawal?
Yes, I believe it does
@@PutTheShovelDown You BELIEVE it does? IOW you don't know. You really give me a warm safety feeling "Oh well, they seem to know what they are dealing with". Not. Wow another drug scam like the ultra rapid detox.Shame on you people!
I’m an acupuncturist and we do the same thing using ear acupuncture and electrostimulation.
What dosage of D3 and ..what..niacin?
Does this work for alcohol withdrawal too?
Yes, to my understanding it does
That first kid he talked about who was snorting 6mg of car fentanyl sounds impossible. I’ve been through these places-dozens of them-I just don’t know it I believe it.
I agree, if you could cure methadone withdrawal with niacin & b vitamin, nobody would be going to the clinic. This is not adding up “Bay Area Babe” 😇
PLEASE IM IN NEW JERSEY AND THIS DEVICE IS ONLY ADMINISTERED AT ONE PLACE CALLED A DRIP LOUNGE WHERE THEY HAVE NAD FOR $10k and $1200 for the bridge device
I am not a doc nor a nurse. I am a simple human being on 50 mg methadone. IF it is something fantastic new thing which is payable that means it is the inventory of the century. So in 20 years there will not be opiate problem. Which I doubt it. Second, I dont believe that someone was on carfentanyl. It is impossible. Or if he say yes, he is very stupid or he was lied. Third, considering that the suboxone and methadone are a very long half life like 72 hours minimum, it is still impossible to go in the hospital on Monday and on Friday I can come out with wilde smile on my face, without any medication and with full of energy and as good as I was born like. So, this is simple about money and it is a lie.

Why can't you find ANY info online about this? Very little information.
What state and where is this clinic
It's in Carbondale, IL
Insurance cover it? How much does it cost?
Hi ThisGuyEddie X, I do believe I heard the recently started taking some insurances. Here's a link to download their guide to NAD treatment. www.familyrecoveryacademy.online/nad-report
@@PutTheShovelDown thank you!

Does insurance cover this?
Hi Ashley, I'm not 100%, but I believe the do take some forms of insurance.
What is the costs of this treatment?
I call shenanigans
What is the price range for the treatment?
Saw a special about this on tv where I live. They said around $9,000. Works like magic but NOT cheap.
@@ltrizzle12 if you have anymore info on it like the doctors name or a website I would really really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi Chris, the treatment center in this video is called recoverus. But I'm sure there are other places that do this as well.
@@PutTheShovelDown thanks im in upstate ny idk of anyone that does this
What is the cost of this...
How does this treatment help PAWS? Post withdrawal syndrome?
Most of the time people become emotionally unbalanced for 6 to 12 months after or it can be for life, lots of addicts stop for 6 to 12 months and don't feel any better the withdrawal is gone but the PAWS isn't. If they have any data on this it would be good to post it?
I still think the English system is the Gold standard to treat heroin addiction. It's a shame it fell out of favour playing to politics mainly America's war on drugs stance.
I'm sorry but heroin still has a place for prescribing to addicts who are not and will not ever be able to get off it, mainly due to mental illness which can't be treated with current medications. Even in America before Richard Nixon drs could prescribe heroin to addicts.
About 10 years ago I used to take 1000 mg of oxycodone per day so I believe you had somebody taking 600 mg of methadone per day your body builds up tolerance .the more you let it the higher your tolerance builds up to that level. I would take 150 mg of methadone per day and that was just to get by because I ran out of my oxy prescription. I hate to say it but it's a very terrible drug and addiction
Can it help benzo?
Yes!
Watch the video. They talk about benzo formulas etc
It’s just electrical stimulation to the ear acupuncture points. They just give it another name.
Can you go straight from fentanyl to this?
Yes, I believe so. This is their website recoveruscenters.org
I find it very hard how the American Oxycodone got pass the Federal Health Board. So many teens lost should of been stripped of shelving when Hospital staff noticed the first signs of Mass deaths. This Won't work teens want to get high for a few hours same thing in 60s Magic M and LSD but better times and better Food
Hi Alen, you're right there are a number of problems with the whole system!
Does it work on nicotine addiction?
As much as this sounds like the key to my freedom, I'm sure there's no way I can afford it 😞
You can buy all the stuff they using online for a fraction of the price, they got NAD subs concentrated $150 online which aint nothing to $15,000.00 think im paying that no way, i will buy it and handle it myself and have my RN cousin look over me just to be sure.
It's a shame they always make things so expensive when the people who really needs it most of them can't afford it. 😪
Look up AgelessRX.
Thid did not work for three people I know and the fee was 10k thid was almost 10 years ago this was just the iv only though. It could have been the clinic it was in orange county California.
I didn't even know they were doing this 10 years ago.
