    About Me:
    Personal Experience:
I grew up in an addicted family. In fact, it would be way easier for me to tell you who wasn't addicted versus who was addicted. Seriously, I have absolutely no memories of my grandmother without a glass of vodka in her hand. My mother died due to her addiction to methamphetamines. I've had countless addicted step-parents, and my older sister has struggled with serious (life-destroying) addiction for as long as I can remember.
All that being said, I always felt I had a great and loving family. My sister and I spent every summer swimming in my grandmother's pool. (the grandmother who struggled with alcoholism). We called her Mimi, and she was great. My mom was attractive and very creative, not to mention lots of fun!
Growing up like this gives me a unique perspective on addiction. I can know that someone is struggling with addiction but still see their wonderful qualities.
    Professional qualifications:
After graduating from counselor school in 2004, I worked in a private psychiatric hospital for 10 years. This facility provided acute care (short term) for serious mental health and Substance Use Disorders. I learned a LOT from my experience working in a psychiatric hospital.
I got to see and treat almost every type of mental health and addiction issue you can think of, but it felt like a revolving door. I'd see the same people come in over and over and their families were absolutely desperate for help.
Unfortunately, the system isn't set up to help families in general. Knowing what it's like to live with addiction, I was all the more frustrated.
All this led to me deciding to leave the hospital and start my own addiction treatment center, specializing in addicted family systems.
Over the years, I had developed lots of good relationships with other clinicians, and I knew who was the best! I put together a superstar team, and we now run out own outpatient addiction treatment practice called Hope For Families Recovery Center.
We've worked very hard not to tie ourselves to the "big system." We don't work for the insurance companies. We don't work for a hospital system, We don't answer to anyone except our clients, their families, and the licensing boards that provide us with our professional license. We have all Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC)-(which is mental health counselors) and also Licensed Addiction Counselors (LAC).
We don't provide inpatient treatment, but we do partner with a phenomenal sober living facility called Greenville Transitions. They offer top-notch sober living care for young men in the early stages of recovery. www.greenvilletransitions.com
Our RUclips channel is our way of trying to help as many people as possible find the answers they need to beat addiction. We spend a ton of time and money, creating these resources and support that you find them valuable and will share them with anyone else you know who may need them. Hi Cj, No this isn't a cure, but it is a really good option for detoxing people. Detox just helps with chemical dependency. It doesn't fix addiction. However, it allows people to get stabilized enough to work a good treatment program.

This is all lost technology that we once had. The civilization that we are literally built on top of had technology used against them ( There are many underground and melted towns all over the world)
The people before us knew how to use frequency’s In the air for over all health for all and they had bells not for churches but for the frequency of the vibrations.
They even had weird flying machines that you can still catch a glimpse of online,
They had iron battery’s that went over 1000 miles on one charge and never died. Cars & trains ran on compressed air and other things like red mercury.
We can only have the tech that they allow us to have & that is Still going on.
There is one place left that had not been removed or suppressed by the parasite dark overlords and that is the zoo in Germany.

I’m struggling to believe he was coming off 600mg of methadone with a 3 day taper and did fine … that’s insane . I didn’t even know 600mg of methadone was legal .. unless he was purchasing it on the street, but Jesus that’s 200-600 a day in methadone. I mean, the fent is roughly 100-200 a gram if it’s real carfent.
I just moved off methadone after 6 years of consistent use while coinciding use with carfent , about 1.5 g a day , had 3 months off car fent, even with my 180mg of methadone I still felt withdrawal symptoms from carfent. In 3 months I moved from 180-30mg of methadone and it’s been a bitch going to Subs, I lasted 40 hours of no methadone, and still had such a fear of precipitated withdrawal.

Kids I know all there is to know about being a drug addict. Been on and off methadone and suboxone.. oh and all the illegal stuff too.. so let me say this.. the hardest part of staying sober aint the withdrawals.. that's a huge part of it.. but remember this my friends and remember this good.. u will never ever forget the way being high feels..not gonna go away.. ever!!! But that's fine .. you just need to be ready for it.. and u should try to focus on that so u dont freak out when u relapse.. the withdrawal can be soooo bad but it goes away.. it takes a long long time for some drugs
. Months for sure. Do not expect to feel normal for 6 months. . But u can and will recover from that part.. but kids u will never ever forget the feelings.. so just be aware if it.. withdraw will go away I promise you ..u will think it's never ever going away but it will.. but the memory will not.. u will need to deal with that.. trust me I know exactly what I'm talking about

One other thing I would add is, you can get clean a million times but unless you deal with the issues that caused your drug use to get out of control, those issues don't go away when you get clean they are going to come out again. The reality is drs and a therapist need to look at your history and talk with you to see if your issues can be helped if not then medicated therapy for life may be a better bet. The sad reality is Switzerland countries in Europe really handle these kinds of issues much better than the U.S and their success rates for medicated H.A.T programs are amazing.

“Your trading one addiction for another” this is quite simplistic. There is a distinct difference between addiction and dependence. Addiction is compulsion and drug abuse despite consequences. Dependence is the body adapting to having a drug and reacting when those drugs cease via withdrawal. People on medication assisted treatment are dependent NOT addicted. It enables people to adapt to life.

But behaviourally their still has to be the support services in place. It's exciting

I love that nerdy stuff, my ex girlfriend had OCD I noticed so many similarities between OCD and addiction, 100% addiction is the by product and coping mechanisms for mental illness, well the most extreme cases. From my own experiences with addiction a lot of it can be linked to motivation and escapism. That's not even going into feeling disenfranchised from society. I think escapism really can effect being a productive member of society, then there's education and awareness to try and stop future generations from making the same mistakes. It's well know prevention is better than cure. Thank you for the heart and reply

I am not a doc nor a nurse. I am a simple human being on 50 mg methadone. IF it is something fantastic new thing which is payable that means it is the inventory of the century. So in 20 years there will not be opiate problem. Which I doubt it. Second, I dont believe that someone was on carfentanyl. It is impossible. Or if he say yes, he is very stupid or he was lied. Third, considering that the suboxone and methadone are a very long half life like 72 hours minimum, it is still impossible to go in the hospital on Monday and on Friday I can come out with wilde smile on my face, without any medication and with full of energy and as good as I was born like. So, this is simple about money and it is a lie.

How does this treatment help PAWS? Post withdrawal syndrome?
Most of the time people become emotionally unbalanced for 6 to 12 months after or it can be for life, lots of addicts stop for 6 to 12 months and don't feel any better the withdrawal is gone but the PAWS isn't. If they have any data on this it would be good to post it?
I still think the English system is the Gold standard to treat heroin addiction. It's a shame it fell out of favour playing to politics mainly America's war on drugs stance.
I'm sorry but heroin still has a place for prescribing to addicts who are not and will not ever be able to get off it, mainly due to mental illness which can't be treated with current medications. Even in America before Richard Nixon drs could prescribe heroin to addicts.

About 10 years ago I used to take 1000 mg of oxycodone per day so I believe you had somebody taking 600 mg of methadone per day your body builds up tolerance .the more you let it the higher your tolerance builds up to that level. I would take 150 mg of methadone per day and that was just to get by because I ran out of my oxy prescription. I hate to say it but it's a very terrible drug and addiction

I find it very hard how the American Oxycodone got pass the Federal Health Board. So many teens lost should of been stripped of shelving when Hospital staff noticed the first signs of Mass deaths. This Won't work teens want to get high for a few hours same thing in 60s Magic M and LSD but better times and better Food
