I remember the s & h green stamps we had a store near us and I would go with my grandmother to turn them in and the last time we went she had enough stamps to get a canister set❤
I love your collection! When I first moved out on my own I had the dark blue navy pattern set. I wish I had kept it. Now I only have the Christmas set, along with the drinking glasses. I was washing them yesterday so I can start using them after Remembrance Day. I wish they would start making some of the retro designs again, and coffee cups- no sets come with cups anymore!
The blue cornflower is the one my grandma had I particularly remember the Stove top percolator!!! As a kid nothing was More deliciously satisfying then the amazing smell of it brewing throughout our house!! Really brings back fond memories of my childhood.Thank you girlfriend sometimes ya need to be reminded of the special things you had in life you tend to forget and loose on the way.. love when you reminisce!! Thank you
I grew up watching my mom make coffee in the cornflower CorningWear coffee pot. She had the entire set, one whole cupboard was devoted to them. I think she got them using s&h greenstamps…including one casserole dish so big I could sit cross legged in it…😂😂😂. I was the only one of us 3 girls to burn a piece beyond recognition..(yes, I burned water🤪)…she looked at me like I had just slain her firstborn child. They were nearly 20 years old at that point. After that, she was really keen on teaching me how to cook. Hmm, go figure😆😆. You have such fantastic sets of dishes, the Blue Morning Corelle is my favorite. Oh that percolator sound brings back such memories!, including that of my oldest sisters’ gawdawful oatmeal…which ALWAYS accompanied the smell of that coffee…yuban..gack. Thanks for sharing Misty, and for the warm nostalgia, nix the oatmeal. Smiles for miles, Joy😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
yes, I have my moms collection & my wife was so amazed when she saw that I saved them. She loves cooking with them. I especially like when she uses the smallest dish to to make spinach artichoke dip & we can eat it right out of the cookware & clean it without any issues.
I collect Corning Ware too. I had a set of the orange wildflower as my dishes in college. My mom had the blue cornflower coffee pot and a bunch of the casserole dishes & a meat platter. I have the green crazy daisy divided dish (my cats eat chow out of it) and I started collecting the French vegetable casserole dishes w/ lids about 15 years ago. Got them at thrift shops and antique stores. Thought they were expensive then but now the prices will floor you. Thanks for sharing your awesome collection!
Your cats are lucky you share lol The prices are crazy now! I was looking at yellow butterfly set this past summer at a thrift store and I was shocked. 10$ a plate. Googled and found that Taylor swift had a music video featuring them and that had driven the price way up.
Hi neighbor. I must be the only one who didn't grow up with corning ware. My mom and aunts had clear glass, Pyrex I guess. I had a bad childhood. I am now slowly building a collection of blue cornflower. Your table settings are always beautiful. Anna from Arkansas.
Those silver cannisters on your countertop, my mom had those for years when I was little, then she traded them out for glass ones with the Corningware tops in the floral pattern. Love it!
I enjoy your videos so much. We had the Snowflake Blue, Spring Blossom, Winter Holly, and Frost White patterns. Would you mind sharing where, or even how, you store so many dish sets? Thanks!
I've only been collecting for a few months now but I just discovered the Strawberry Sunday last weekend when I found some dinner and bread plates and I justtttt learned thru this video there's a blue cornflower Corelle?!?! Oooo I cant wait to find someee
You have quite the collection I have a few that belonged to my Grandmother I have both the coffee and teapot and several casserole dishes do you have the oblong platter? I found two at a consignment shop, love corning wear dishes ❤

I don’t have the oblong in the blue cornflower yet lol
I have my mom's coffee pot you used, but afraid to use it as it's been recalled. Your not afraid that the top will separate ???
No, mine has a glass notch it catches on, it only separates when it’s lined up just right.
Your pig bank! 😢
I know 😫hopefully I’ll find another one lol
