#1: File federal suit against the financial institution that negligently issued credit to a thief in your name without taking necessary and prudent steps to verify the applicant.
I did this, and it was hilarious how quickly the bank jumped through hoops to correct their mess. The bank attempted to treat me as a client asking me to provide them with my SSN, D.O.B., and driver license. I laughed and reminded them that I was not a client, was not under contract with them, and therefore had no obligation to provide them with anything, declined to do so, and told them I'd see them in court. 😂 They corrected everything IN ONE DAY! 🤣

Identity was stolen two years ago SS# as well. I can confirm it’s the most horrible experience, credit still locked but I can confirm the gov websites do nothing they say they will to help.
