The newest 1080 is a certified banger and you must get it. I got it early and the foam is super soft and not like tradition fresh foam x. Might be their best shoe yet in my opinion
I had the 1080v12 and it's a perfect shoe ... it does everything ... not a 100% but I would say at 80% ... you can use it for everything from recovery runs up to 10k repeats (or even faster) ... so a big yes for v13 ... you should really try them out
The knit upper of the 1080 series was always exceptional for all day - everyday use. I hope we get a model with that knit upper again in the future, mostly for casual use.
@@EDDBUD i Didn't like for running either, but a shoe that i can walk to work and be on my feet all day, found the upper very comfy. Mind you, my feet belong to the wide variety.
Completely random: so I’m a fairly big black guy, going to the drug store after my Thursday run club as I usually do in my Martin Luther King running tights, my Black Men Run jersey, wearing my BMR rag, in my high stack Zoom Fly 5 (trying to paint a picture here), and standing in line getting my usual late night Thursday stares with a bottle of wine in my hand. And to make it worse a song comes on I haven’t heard for a long time that I love and I start singing it very quietly, “so come pick me up, I’ve landed”. And this guy turned around, and then smiled and looked away. All of the sudden I realized how this scene looks and then I start singing along to a Ben Folds Five song. So to my surprise your video just happened to mention BFF, and all is well with the universe.
Floatride adventure is very heavy. But with that it teels very durable. The floatride foam will flatten out well before the upper gets any wear and tear. Can pick them up for 36 quid which is outrageous
I bought the v10 years ago now, hated it to begin with and made my foot hurt, ended up putting 800km in them, the most comfortable trainer, so maybe need a break in period is key with them?
I'm hearing nothing but incredible things about the 1080 v13. I myself haven't got along with any 1080 of the past, but if what they are saying is true about more energy return and a stiffer forefoot, il definitely give them a try. Especially if a goretex version comes out. I need something warm and cozy for these hellatious canadian winters just in case my igloo collapses and i need to outrun a polar bear. 😂
Just ordered the 1080 v13. NB shoes seem to fit my foot better than other brands. And other reviewers seem to like it. You may want to rethink your Nay
I'm intrigued by the 1080 v13. I used to like the v12, until I got the More v4, which is the 'if you could only have one shoe' for me. I only use the v12 as a casual shoe these days. The v13 sounds absolutely fantastic, but why did it need to be so ugly?!
@@EDDBUD I've learned to live with 'ugly' running shoes at the right price. My SC Elite v3 is that awful yellow. Still love the shoe though, even if it does turn heads 😅
Same with you, I have never been interested to try the 1080 series. On paper they are always heavy, and I don't think the soft EVA midsole will be durable enough for over 500km. However, I am really interested to this v13. note that I have never run in any of the previous 1080s before. This version gain my intereset because they change it to a 6mm drop, and apparently this will be the lightest 1080 ever. I mean, 9.2oz for US9, that's even lighter than the puma velocity nitro 2, with more stack height...
new balance naming of there shoes is like just updating an application version. 😅but in terms of their price point looks like they're much cheaper than the other brands I guess.
I got the 1080 v10, I think.., then passed on it until I picked up the permafrost v12. I was looking for a wet weather shoe.., and if that doesn’t work out, I will just wear it to work, since I got it for cheap.
All the major running brands are now pushing hard with collaborations with high end designers/fashion houses/artists/influencers etc, simply because it's a market that hasn't been tapped yet (mainly because no one was sure if it actually existed). But the Jordan and Yeezy hype has really fallen off a cliff past 2 years or so, with collabs not generating the hype/sales they used to. And to be honest, many of these shoes were old school, fairly average on feet. With the high etch stuff, at least you're getting something that should be amazing on feet in many cases...and you have a bit of extra style for a few extras quid. Well, that's the theory at least - if we don't see too more of them by mid next year then the idea is likely a failure...but if they keep rolling them out...well, it's a new world.
Vomero 16 was great…I don’t love that the Vomero now just looks like the Invincible and Infinity. The latter 2 are already cannibalizing off of each other, now add this is and it’s even more confusing
Picked up the regular black and metallic silver version of the Sen9 for £99 a few months back. Not sure I'd pay £80 extra for a slightly more black version...
yes, the brand that invented the superfoam and the plated shoe, thus paving the road for all other brands and to which all shoetubers owe their channels can only be labeled as “boring”. Good reasoning you got there!

I like the topography lines on the Energy 5 Adventure. Nice design.

I wasn't aware until now that many are talking about the 1080 v13! 😮
Nike Vomero 17 piques my interest. A tentative YEA from me. 😊
You should try the Structure 25. It's feels really great! It works well for neutral runners

Too flexible and structureless for me. Always had inconsistent lockdown

I will be surprised if it’s any different
The all black Y-3!!! If it ever ends up in the adidas discount bin (not unlikely at that price)for normal sen prices i'm in.
so then... yea for the 1080s and yea for the lidl shoes? 👍
Not sure if you’ve already talked about it, but the Ghost Max by Brooks is a certified banger

Those Takumis look ideal for the darker nights 🌃 similar colour to what I've used in my living room.

The V17 and 1080 V13 look promising.
That off white midsole 1080 keeps tempting me.
Cordura is the material used in my tradesman work trousers!
It sounds like it’s going to stand the rest of time.
Can't wait for the Vomero 17. Cushlon 3.0 is 🔥
Keen to try it
@@EDDBUDhopefully best of Peg, Invincible and Turbo in one shoe, if so, it'll be a BANGER

"And give me back my black T-shirt!"

Ed, 1080v13 has a very soft foam. I think you should really give it a try.
I tried the v10 and 11. Is it really that much different?
@@EDDBUD The shoe looks fairly similar to v12 but foam is definitely softer. Maybe even too soft for some.
It would be good video to compare one day Vomero17 with Infinity RN4.. Shoes look practicly the same outside...
They are very close it has to be said
I thought (sadly) that reebok had quit the running game.

Yes! I didn’t notice it but you are right!
Im a walker, have vomero 17 and 1080 v13. New balance can eat Vomero for breakfast for walking. So much better in every way

Quick question sarge , Adizero 7 vs Velocity nitro 2 your overall best ?
Very different shoes. The 7 is a more up for it firmer pacer shoe.
Hm, the Vomero 17 looks kind of like the Vomero 14 from
the side, similar midsole shape etc.
It’s not far of isn’t it.
Have you seen the new puma fast r nitro elite 2 in Berlin?
