Good day. I don't know if i'd left the Hemingway behind at that price. We are all guilty of buying double, triples of books we like. Tom O'Connor is new to me. It was pretty funny;)
All those books and it is the joke book I started on first of course! eg. Brendan walked into the shop and said: 'Are the cream cakes fresh?' 'Indeed, sir,' said the shopkeeper. 'They're as fresh as the girl of your dreams.' 'In that case,' said Brendan, 'I'll have a meat pie.' I hope you are well and reading something good.
The weather will not last long. North of England is green due to all the grey skies and the rain! I have an infinite register of shades of grey. I think I have an oppo in Texas who has an infinite register of the colour red! Best wishes.
That empty box book sounds fun. I remember my gran getting false teeth. She hated them. She hated the dentist and said they lied about flossing! I didn't even know what flossing was back then. Happy reading~!
Very impressive Shakespear collection. Very nice of you to go back and get the Shakespear books for your neighbor. I just completed Cymbeline. It is the first Shakespear I read since high school. There was parts I didn't understand because of the Old English. Overall, I did understand it and enjoy it. I probably won't read another Shakespear until next September though. Strangely, most of the Tom O'Connor quotes on the back of the book made sense to me. Those quotes made me think of quotes by Yogi Berra. He was a famous baseball player who played for the Yankees mid 20th century. If you get a chance, look up Yogi Berra quotes. You might find them amusing.
Fantastic covers on all those books!
Yes, the covers make them very appealing. I think these will be with me for some time! Best wishes and I hope you are reading something great.
My goodness, you have some fun ahead - brilliant you!
Yes lucky to have good charity shops and second hand books near here. Happy book hunting and reading.

Yes, glad I have got them but some many choices to read. Best wishes Stuart!
Nice haul again. Those quotes remind me of some old southern US regional humor
