I love Super Saiyan 4 reasons for it because it looks and feels like a natural transformation. It defines what a Saiyan is...it comes from the root and over more I like it more than SSJG.

Super Saiyan + Oozaru, then gain control of your state of mind and condense the power into your Humanoid form = SSJ4. I'd prefer it to be called Hitozaru, though.

It would be as said as the limit breaker. It doesn't drain you, it doesn't slow you down, and overall it's the last transformation for a saiyan to reach .
Yeah, SSJ4 and SSJB are my favorite forms( other than SSJ3 because SSJ3 just looks strong as crap) because they're naturally achieved rather than being forced power increases to normal, original SSJ state. :'D

I liked GT despite SSJ 4. I will also say SSJ 4 is my favorite form. I believe that it's the real deal super sayion since basic super sayion 1 2 or hardly 3 mean anything any more. Super sayion 4, sub forms( Bezerker, rage, or false super sayion), and god modes mean something now.

Ssj god has the strength, but ssj 4 has bottomless stanima and little to no ki loss, so ssj 4 comes out on top.

There is no legitimate power scaling that could give even an accurate representation of how strong either is, I like Super Saiyan 4 more because I think Super Saiyan God is lazy and just a plot point rather than an actual achievement but that does not mean I'm going to discount its power.
I think the best representation would be who they fought. By himself Omega Shenron had an ability that could destroy the entire DB universe and he used it quite casually although it would have taken time to do so but not enough that anybody could do anything about it except well a universe and other world powered Spirit Bomb of positive energy.

I also find SS4 far more wild and creative, a nice throwback to the wild nature of the saiyans (I missed the tails and the great ape forms). It's more interesting to look at than the random hair dying happening today which I find artistically lazy. The way they attain it also shows they have to put in some work for it, ie turn into a great ape first and keep your wits.

You have to keep in mind with the hair dye comment that those were the only ways it made sense. Super Saiyan Rose and Super Saiyan Blue are not new forms exactly, they're Super Saiyan 1 made from a different ki (Kaioshin/mystic ki in Rose's case, godly ki in Blue's case). So, they're going to look like Super Saiyan 1.
Yeah thats true but why make it that way? I always see comments like this but you forget Akira could of made super saiyan god how ever the fuck he wanted, but he chose that? So no it shouldnt look like that, it should look better and more creative.
I agree. It's EASY to change hair color. It's more of a challenge to integrate the changes right down to Saiyan DNA and physiology.
I definitely see your reason, even if they kept hair color changes, I wish the different flavors of Ki also reflected in the Saiyan physiology. They did that a LITTLE with Trunks where he had to keep his expanding muscles under control and his hair changed. His power ended up having spiritual strength (not just through training) because he was driven by desire to protect, love and hope--which ended up pushing past limits to the point of miraculous. Growing a fricking tail would have been epic though XD It's just fun to think of possibilities (my artist brain).

The SS4's eyebrows and the red streaks around the eyes really did it for me. The whole thing was one awesome design

I always saw GT as a parallel universe to Super but also a continuation to Z like Super, they're both Canon to me but in separate timelines. And if people become jerks about my opinion well how about this: GT is canon but is not STORY canon to the main story (Super).
Why does Super have to be canon?
And Plus, I think Time Patrol snagged The GT characters, hence why In Dragon Ball Heroes, we see the time patrol go SSJ4 instead of SSG or SSB, it's because TP snagged the characters from GT.

Super Saiyan 4 has always been my favorite transformation in the DB universe, and I have a ton of love and respect for Nakatsuru, because of not only his work as an animator and character designer for Dragon Ball, Z, and GT, but also because he was the character designer for the first 4 seasons of Digimon: Digital Monsters, another one of my favorite anime series

I personally like super Sayian 4 more than the god line, it was based upon the Oozaru, which we knew and previously existed! And didn't come out of no where! I'm not sure how to explain it but super Sayian God felt forced. I liked the first red hair design, I thought of it as the personification of everything that goku is... And make it unique between each person... But that isn't the case as we've seen. But when super Sayian blue came along it... Was super Sayain one but more powerful and blue... Which from a design aspect is a little boring. And again felt a little forced...There wasn't much time dedicated to learning about the form as a concept and how to obtain it, which would have made an interesting season of super.
Goku sitting down and looking inward and ascending to the level of God through personal discovery would be really interesting... Super Sayian four felt like a reward with a risk and had the potential for a great story line behind it, it was achieved in a way ...

Personally, I hope they bring back the look of SS4. What I really liked about it is that it just looks plain alien. It really goes a long way to remind the audience that saiyans aren't human.

ssjblue is ssj, but with god ki, so why would he change the design. Ssj=ssjblue with god ki, and maybe next time you should use your brain a bit more.
SSJ4 was one of the very few concepts from GT that was good. It's possible to argue that it's as strong as SSG and by extension SSB, since neither really has a defined limit or multiplier. Symbolically, that would make SSJ4 the devil to the SS God.
I'd like to see SSJ4 return. It'd be neat.
I like how in the Dub, Goku's voice gets deeper and a bit more menacing. Would love to see that applied to a transformation in Super, like Ultra Instinct.

I never got why people disliked SSJ4 to me it looked cool and it seamed like the next step after 3. The image that saiyan power is a very primal thing is see since DB (when Goku defeats King Piccolo) and the saiyan forms reflect that. To reach SS you need pure anger which can be seen as a primal emotion, 2 would be the extension of that (since I cant think of anything else), 3 looks like a caveman so we are starting to go back in evolution and then 4 has you covered in fur and with a tail. I even liked the fact that their clothes changed since the style made me thing of how the Kais look thus showing that the power of 4 is straight up godly.
Ppl probably just hated on it because they were misdirecting such hate. The hate was probably going to Toei etc because they didnt make SS4 canon. Something I was upset about too when I learned GT wasn't canon. SS4 is my all-time fave transformation.
It felt to me like SSJ4 combined Super Saiyan with Oozaru, to create a form even more powerful.
It was only more powerful because it combined a saiyan's humanoid form and intellect with the oozaru power as if he were in ape form, but not in that form. Hence the combination including the fur. Goku could tap into that primal instinct and almost bottomless mass of power in one form.
I personally loved SSJ4 the best and was upset about it ever since I first heard that it wasn't canon. Curse the creators for not making it canon haha.
Gavin P. Brown It's still canon to me dammit! But still, combining the greatest aspects of the Saiyan transformations is just ingenious to me. When I first saw it, I knew it was the peak of Saiyan power. Then it got taken from us in favor of god power.

I love SSJ4 and honestly I prefer it over the god forms in terms of aesthetics because it represents the saiyan becoming one with their Oozaru state and using it to break through their limits and reach their full potential.

Webshooters1 I think Masako has it. 4 is the most powerful state a Saiyan who has unlocked the Super state can potentially achieve, by harmonizing the animal nature of Oozaru and the strength of Super Saiyan. I would not be surprised if it were somehow brought in as a further booster to the SSJG line.

Personally, I liked the SSJG design. Instead of making more bulky, they went for a more lithe, and fast design. In my opinion, it takes the concept of "using their ki instead of their muscles to become even stronger" and puts emphasis on something that wins more battles than raw strenght. Speed. SSJG seems much faster (I'm not talking about powerlevels here, just design), and being able to hit your enemy is what wins the battle. It doesn't matter if you require 10 punches instead of 1, if you can't hit that one punch, but you can the 10 punches.
That, in fact, is where Super is going with Whys training. He puts emphasis on fast reactions and speed, instead of hitting stronger (SSJB is already plenty strong, they now need to not be able to be touched).
That said, I also love the SSJ4 desing. *In my opinion*, it is, by far, the best thing GT did. Some concepts they tried are good, or even really good, but their execution was bad or even atrocious, but the concept of SSJ 4 was good, and their execution almost flawless.
lenlimbo ss4 is faster than all the other forms, more durable, absolute control despite the bulky muscles. Their bodies are not restricted by body weight they can lift buildings and shit easily so why would body weight slow them down if its that minimal lol look at broly he was faster than the whole group and he was a way bigger target he dodged with his hands crossed

We are talking about designs, visuals, graphics, art, not the power levels of forms or who is stronger, faster or whatever(shit's pointless anyway).
SSJG LOOKS way faster than SSJ4 because of his slim design. He also looks more "godly" since the deities in DB usually don't look like warriors.
On the other hand SSJ4 looks more "animalistic", beastly, physical, powerful and has an almost antagonistic look.
I personally like Super Saiyan 4 because it seems like the return of Dragon Ball to the roots in Journey to the West, and now Goku has the fiery eyes to match.
If we're being completely honest, Super Saiyan 4 is my absolute favorite form, but it's kind of a complicated explanation as to why.
I got into the series about as backwards as you can manage. After glimpsing an episode or two on TV years before, I was always a bit curious but never driven to seek it out. Then a friend of mine at the time gave it shining praise and I was a bit more interested than before. And then on a casual Saturday, flipping through channels to see if any decent cartoons were on, I happened upon the Final Form Frieza vs Vegeta fight, and my instinctive thought was "Mewtwo?"
Obviously not, but my love of Pokemon gave me just enough impetus to watch for a few minutes. Now, I was intrigued. What little I had seen was right up my alley and I found that I wanted more. After several more Saturday sessions of catching Dragon Ball Z Kai (HA HA HA HA HA HAAAA!!!! shit) I felt like I could hold a conversation about the show and now what I was talking about, being completely wrong and not even knowing it.
Not long after, I went to Gamestop while they still had Playstation 2 games and found both Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi. I bought them thinking they would make a decent gift to my friend mentioned prior, but I ended up playing them instead. Budokai Tenkaichi was a tad more complex and difficult than I was willing to tough out for something that was barely a passing fancy, so it was to Budokai 3 that I focused my attention.
Now, if you have ever played Budokai 3, you'll know that the story mode is...pretty awful, really, when it comes to cohesion. Nevertheless, I played through Goku, Piccolo, Krillin Gohan and Vegeta's storylines, piecing together this incredibly wide and expansive plot that took my breath away. Each and every character was memorable to me as I fought with them against ever increasing threats and villains with a painfully abbreviated script tying everything together as best it could.
When you beat some of the individual stories you get the chance to trigger different events during subsequent playthroughs. Little events that give you power-ups or new characters to completely altered sections such as Cooler coming to Namek. And let me tell you, finding out that Frieza had an older brother _terrified_ me after the nightmare Frieza had been to the heroes. After much trial and error, I managed to get the alternate events that actually led into GT territory, which I knew absolutely nothing about at the time. After fighting Vegeta, Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu, I felt the power in each transformation and what they meant to the characters. Finishing Kid Buu as a Super Saiyan 3 was a huge deal and I didn't think it could possibly get any bigger. And then...
Super. Saiyan. 4.
This blew my mind. Not only was there this insane new level of strength, but it also came in a fresh, unique form that just looked so _coool_. Goku unlocking it was incredible enough, but when Vegeta, who had become my favorite character while playing, did as well it just sealed the deal. Super Saiyan 4 represents to me the potential of the saiyans as both a race and as individual warriors. I saw this power that dwarfed anything I had seen in any other show or movie, giving me an entirely new limit to my imagination, and the desire to shatter that as the saiyans had their physical limits. Super Saiyan 4, to me, isn't just a powered up form but an inspiration to always achieve greater and greater things and never settle for "my best".
Super Saiyan 4 *is* Dragon Ball for me, and that is why it's my favorite form.

Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed reading that. I came across Dragonball while I was on a cruise ship. I found it thanks to Xenoverse one on the PS4 that was there. I loved it immediately.
I never hated GT. I mean it's very much inferior to Ball and Z in a lot of ways but it had some interesting ideas here and there(especially for Uub and Pan, giving the saiyan tail significance again as well as actually creating a consequence to continuously using the Dragon balls) but it's more or less harmless.
I agree about the abuse of the dragon balls. The story kind of showed how technology made it so the dragon balls could be used every year without a break where as before the radar it took people a long time to find them.
I just hope they wont try to have GT be cannon. I don't think they will since super saiyan blue is newly introduced which raises the question "Why do they not use super saiyan blue in GT?" if GT is to be considered cannon.
GT was in overall oké, though I mainly just liked the Baby saga and the Omega Shenron fight. The rest is just an, inferior to dragonball, adventure series
Blue is a step above Super Sayian God. So those that don't have the goldy ki could go Super Sayian 4. It won't happen, but it'd be very cool if Trunks took that form to beat Black.
GT could have been good but they made too many mistakes.

I really enjoyed "Level 4". It had such a unique transformation. It is basically the 4th in scale (not counting the bulky forms).
GT had some great ideas and throwbacks to core Dragonball but inverted them. The show turned the ape form into a useful positive thing and for the last arch, it turned the savior Shenron basically a villain. Aswell as turning it's own heroes into villians with Baby.
It used classic elements in a very creative and logical progression.
I like the style of Super Saiyan 4 mainly because it's more feral, linked to the great ape form, and in my opinion, how Super Saiyan God should have been, or at least take some inspiration. Mainly, what are the usual traits of deities? Enhanced, perfect versions of the believer's species, and above all in ancient cults, a link to the animal reign, with all deities having sacred animals. So that's why Super Saiyan God should have been more ape-like and why Super Saiyan 4 with the fur and tail coming back is smart design.
Well, there's the fan theory that ssj4 was the form of the original super saiyan. Vegeta always said that the original super saiyan could only maintain his power as a golden great ape. To get ssj4 is to maintain ones humanity as a golden oozaru.
Didn't know that, mainly because I was never too much interested in theories related to GT, but it makes sense. After all, considering the way to achieve Super Saiyan 4 it makes sense for it to be the transformation of legends, the power of the Oozaru form combined with the body and agility of a normal Saiyan.
Well the whole point behind the god transformations is for complete ki control, at least for ssb so the whole animal thing wouldn't really make sense in that regard

It's pure fan fiction. But I like it cause it has some pretty hype ideas. One of my favorites is Hatchiyack and Baby, the two Tuffle villains, fusing together.

kinrob1 you actually ain't wrong. Super Saiyan 4 has divine power to cancel wishes. Which was why it was the only form that could fight Omega and turned Goku back into an adult
I once read, that SSJ4 was the essence of a saiyan. And therefore that it isnt just a hair dying, but a complete physical transformation, goku became adult again, as his essence is like that. His childbody was just a physical modification.

Yes, thats the way I see it, also if you watch the second transformation sequence from Golden Great Ape to Ssj4, Golden Ape Goku is trying to figure out how to transform to Ssj4, and then he eventually just looks into his mind and has repeated visions of himself from adult to kid, and realizes he can just reduce himself to a state he remembers. He better remembers himself as a adult rather than a kid. And thus becomes adult Ssj4 Goku. So the Ssj4 form being powerful enough to overcome the wish by Red Ultimate Shenron makes more sense, as as it could return him to an adult if that's how he wanted it. Other than a different species as unlike with ssj3 he has an adult appearance despite being a transformation of little Goku.

I will forever be convinced that Super Saiyan 4 would have made a fantastic reappropriation as the Super Saiyan God/Blue forms.

ss4 was way cooler, more interesting, and inovative than ss3, ss god, and ss blue. changing the physic of the character was more fun than changing just their hair.

The God forms are fine, but SSJ4 is a true saiyan transformation, where as the god forms are honestly more like super chargers rather than actual transformations. And I say that because Blue is just SSJ with God Ki added. So it's like a multiplier for the multiplier. And thanks to Vegeta, we now know that other forms of Super Saiyan are usable. Just think, SSJ4 + God Ki. It's actually possible. Also possible that SSJ4 could be a God form. Well, it could've been. Honestly, were it not for Masako's color theory, I'd say it should be.

Well, that 10x also comes from Oozaru, which is 10x, which explains the "utmost" part, as they now are summoning every ounce of power they can attain from their saiyan physiology.
ye, the form was just a 10x multiplier of your maximum power. not in relation to a form, but in relation to you.
It multiplies your maximum Super Saiyan power, which is why they say SSJ4 could have infinite ki, due to the Infinite Super Saiyan form theory (the theory that Super Saiyan forms will go on forever as there's no limit to the achievable multiplier). But even so, that doesn't mean you can control that infinite ki without unlocking higher Super Saiyans (which is why I say Vegeta's SSJ4 shouldn't be nearly as strong as Goku's since he never unlocked SSJ3).
Wolv022 well it has the power of the Golden Great ape ( Super Saiyan Great ape) not a regular old Great ape.
That 10x idea harkens back to Goku's fight with Vegeta in Z, when he stated that in his Great Ape form, his strength is increased ten-fold.

In my head the perfect canon is SS4 is the true saiyan form. Like you are essentially containing the ape form of a saiyan in SS4. And God forms are not exclusive to saiyans but anyone who can attain God kii. Ofc that way they'd be named in a different way, Shenron only knew about a SS God because maybe a saiyan was the only one to attain it, the kii not being exclusive to them !

Super Saiyan 4 has always been my favorite Saiyan form, I don't think it'll ever be surpassed. I'm indifferent towards Super Saiyan Blue, but I still feel like Super Saiyan God was a major disappointment design was. Yes, it's as basic as possible, and not much of a variation on Goku's base form, and a lot of people like it for that reason, but that's exactly the reason why I dislike it, it just seems lazy to me. I used to like Super Saiyan 3 a lot, and then Super Saiyan 4 came along, and I was absolutely stunned with how cool it looked to me... I guess I just had too high expectations for the new form that would replace Super Saiyan 4 as the new ultimate form

I agree on SSJ4's superiority over the other forms, within both Z and Super. Which, by the way, is why I hope there is at least a SSJ4 upper body in Xenoverse 2 as an equippable, as well as some pants that include a tail for SSJ4.
You can call Super Saiyan God uncreative, but that would be the only design that makes sense with the "form's" lore. Super Saiyan God isn't a form, it's a power boost (which is why I think it is misnamed). Super Saiyan God was Goku's base form after the god ritual because he was overflowing with the transmuted Saiyan god ki from the ritual, and that form is only attainable through that ritual because you can't attain that pure a concentration of it exceeding your normal capacity biologically.
Super Saiyan Blue isn't a new form (it's Super Saiyan 1 using god ki instead of normal ki, which is why it looks like Super Saiyan 1, same with Rose except it's Kaioshin ki), and Super Saiyan God isn't even a form really. If you don't like the designs, you just don't like the concept of them, because the designs do the concepts complete justice. They aren't the "new ultimate forms," Dragon Ball Super so far isn't about exploring new forms, it's about exploring new kis.
Well, often when it comes to FICTION, LOGIC just doesn't make for good storytelling nor good entertainment. It's better to take some creative liberties and have something to wow your audience than go for hard logic and deliver undwerwheliming material.

Lemme just say this now: I adore SSJ4, and here is why. If you think about it, not only is it the purest form of truly Saiyan power, but the only thing that can possibly beat it is either LSSJ(which is debatable) or simply not of this plane of existence(SSG, I'm looking at you).
That's also ignoring the untapped potential for lore on SSJ4, since it's an entirely new branch of the Saiyan Transformation Tree.
I think super saiyan 4 is basically the saiyan race's evolutionary peak, with the glowing red fur form being an ss4 at the cusp of super saiyan god. now we just need to see what a super saiyan god super saiyan 4 looks like! more powerful the a grand supreme kai or a god of destruction, maybe second in power only to Zen-oh!

Super Saiyan 4, Harkening back to original Saiyan Ancestry since discovered and achieved by Two Particular little Saiyans on a particular little blue and green world.
Unlike most Dragon Ball fans I like GT, it does exist, and out of all the Transformations Super Saiyan 4 is my favorite. GT does have many problems but Super Saiyan 4 isn't one of them, at least in my opinion. I loved seeing it for the first time, it's really my type of transformation. Anyone who knows my artwork knows that I use a lot of red and black for the colors so in terms of transformation there's no better fit than Super Saiyan 4. Super Saiyan 4 combines everything from the previous Transformations into one: We have Goku's black spiky hair from his base form, the hair length increase from Super Saiyan 3, the muscle increase from Super Saiyan 2, the tail and fur from great ape form and the golden aura from Super Saiyan. When it comes to the video games the one character I use more than any other is Super Saiyan 4 Goku, I wish you could obtain the form for your created character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, I'd rather have that than Super Saiyan blue. Thankfully that is possible with the PC version.

People underestimate GT Goku. Base GT Goku (in a child's body) is stronger than Buu and SSJ3 Z Goku. SSJ4 is a crazy strong multiplayer so I wouldn't be surprised if it's stronger than SSB.
Sara Marie i believe the same if super sayian white came out on gt. then they would have called it ssj5. since they have the god forms. the ape super sayian transformations should exist. because beerus did say it will help with achieving highe power levels and technique. plus i think the sayians last ultimate form be like a 20th level of mystic style super sayian god with their own special super sayian look. i mean it would make sense and it could be their most epic and powerful form. plus that form itself could keep them in like a god base form while having the ape ssj4 look. make it so badass that people would be like there is no one going to be able to stop it.
this is what i say for gohan as an example. a blueish chrome aura, eyes blue and chrome, hair on his head chrome with blue tips, body hair chrome with blue tribal designs, the build ripped and chiseled with glowing blue design, pants black with neon blue, shoes and arm bands black. that form could be his 20th form and also immortal form that he can only achieve himself with god powers. i would call this legendary super sayian god 20 ultimate mystic rage form. it sounds long but you have to look at it this form could the only form that will make him the strongest sayian of all. it is just a thought. i hope you guys like the ideal that sayians should at least be able to have their own immortal form. give a like if you think gohan's form i made up would be badass and if so. draw it up and give me a comment.

As cool as it may look, I think it does have the same weakness as the Ozaroo. Their tails. An example is Vegeta in GT. He didn't had a tail until he used the Blutz Wave machine to force him to go Ozaroo and then turn SSJ4. When he reverted back (without warning) he didn't have his tail and quickly ask Bulma to use the Blutz Waves again. Goku even question Vegeta why couldn't he naturally transform back without the Blutz waves.
He was too weak so he asked to use the waves again to boost his power. Once you attain SSJ4 it's for keeps. You can cut off their tails but that weakness is gone and they'll stay as a SSJ4 because the next time they go to that form they'll have their tails again so there's no point.

Ssj3 is x400 base saiyan.
Golden Oozaru is x500 base saiyan(x50 from Ssj1x10 from Oozaru)
Ssj4 is x500 as well, but with control.
The reason Goku gets his ass handed to him as SSJ3 is because it's x400 his base form, which is just a kid and much weaker than adult goku. SSJ4 Goku is x500 as an adult, so it scales much more significantly.

Jack Reidy He really isn't. He just made analysis. But for better under standing, imagine it as Goku having two power levels: Base BP and Upmost BP.
Base BP is the regular power level a warrior fights at. It can be increased exponentially overtime and can do pretty good things.
Now think of Upmost BP as power that builds over time. As you get stronger, so does it but at a much faster rate. SSJ4 uses this BP but the downside to it is the fact that after accessing the form, the Upmost BP stops increasing as fast and thus acts as a steady multiplier. This could explain why Goku who is 4000x his base was able to fuse with Vegeta who, if at 4000x, still wouldn't have been able to fuse with Goku because of power difference. Vegeta's, as an elite, is probably 4500x, 5000x or 7000x give or take, allowing him to be on par with Goku and perform Fusion.
Just my thoughts on this.

You assume that a golden Ouzaru is an SSJ1 Ouzaru. But thats just head canon.
But if you wanna drive that road. An Ouzaru is at base 10x stronger. That could make that Ouzaru-SSJ1 also 10x stronger than a regular SSJ1 boost. Giving us a OSSJ 500x boost.
So we have a 10times Ouzaru x 500times OSSJ = BOOM 5000x Multiplier

Super doesn't necessarily debunk GT. the way I see it, it could still feasibly happen. Goku trains Uub, but never uses SSB because it could kill him. When he turns into a kid, his body can't support it, as it does have a drain on the user, albeit not as bad as SSJ3. Vegeta in GT becomes more of a family man, and has no reason to use SSB, leaving him only with SSJ/2. Maybe Beerus loses interest in Earth, or the Z-Fighters don't want to rely on him anymore. Then, once SSJ4 becomes a thing, they decide to use that since they can't tap into SSB anymore due to lack of use. Easy work around.
As for Kibito Kai, the fact they found a way to unfuse, means it's competely possible they can just fuse again for some reason or another and maybe something happens that makes them want to stay Kiboto Kai. It also makes Vegito a more viable fusion than Gogeta as a side note

Super Saiyan 4 is the best form. It's design is the most original looking form. SSj4 Gogeta I think is as strong as Super Saiyan God Blue Goku by himself.
I wish Goku will get a Super Saiyan 4 God Blue form (Super Saiyan God Blue is mixing Super Saiyan 1 with Super Saiyan God. So Goku should mix Super Saiyan 4 with Super Saiyan God) Then use Kaioken X10.
And maybe Vegeta can get that form too and they fusion into Super Saiyan 4 God Blue Gogeta. They'll be more powerful than Broly, Kid Buu, Omega Shenron, Beerus, and Whis combined.

I assume it would more than likely be identical. The procedure to produce a SS4 was enough to turn kid Goku into an adult, I assume that enough physical change is involved that the form more-or-less normalizes. Honestly beyond Super-Saiyan 1 the changes to physique and skeletal structure are probably enough that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference so long as they kept their pants on anyways.

Not weird. He is a fusion of the two into a new being. They create a new being while also retaining awareness of things. This is why when they split they know everything that happened still, and also explains Vegeta's reluctance.
I sort of imagine SS4 and SSG as basically two different ways a saiyan could achieve ultimate power. God is through outside help while 4 is by channeling the primal power and rage of a saiyan.

I once read an article that used Super Saiyan 4 to describe Super Saiyan 5. It basically said that once the user gains enough in the super Saiyan 4 state, they will transform and get golden hair. It's basically SSJ4 but with golden hair. It's like the regular power up from base form into ssj. And I really like that. I like the idea of ssj4 being a base form. Kinda like how ssjb is a new base form.
SSJ4 is a mastered great ape form that is like the Ultimate form. The Daizenshuu describes it as being a potential unlock, and it dosen't have that much stamina drain and they both change your personality drastically.
Me when first seeing SS4 as a 6 years old:
"Cool, it's... red."
Me when first seeing SSG as a 13 years old:
"Cool, it's... red."
Me when seeing SSGSS (seriously?) as a 13 years old:

I think GT has a lot of great designs and that includes Super Saiyan 4. While GT has its problems I'm always glad to see GT characters in video games and they're always the characters/forms I want in the games the most because of their designs. With Xenoverse 2 around the corner I'm still hoping that as well as DLC based on Super we'll get a new GT pack with Uub and Baby.

Going by 4's description, there can't be anything beyond 4. 4 is the final step in Saiyan's.

SSj4 will show up in super along with the GT versions of other characters when they come into contact with the alternate universe that had the GT timeline. It's inevitable. What's also inevitable is SSJ4 characters vs. SSJGSS characters when that happens, and then gogeta vs. vegito. If you're setting up a multiverse, you always have a fight between the main characters and alternate universe versions of them; it goes back to DC's Crisis stories, really.
Super isn't Xenoverse. NOTHING is inevitable, because they aren't operating under the assumption that spinoffs are from alternate timelines in the show.

None of the Universe 6 Saiyan's have any tails, so them getting SSJ4 is out of the question. I could get behind Gohan achieving the form when Super continues as it would make him stronger than his Ultimate Form at the moment. Goku and Vegeta would never get the form as even the base Super Saiyan God is stronger than SSJ4.
This form and the concept behind Baby are the best things to come out GT as far as I'm concerned. Also, SSJ-4 Gogeta has my favorite attack in the series thus far: Big Bang Kamehameha!!! ~_~

Baby comes from the concept of "The plan to erradicate the saiyans" back in 90ths videogame and ovas.
Is basically the same plan except that is more interesting. Dr. Laychi/Raychi is no longer a being but a manifestation of his hate towards saiyans, even Vegeta had pity for him. We learn from that game and Ovas that Saiyans were used as slaves by the Tuffles/Tsufurjin, but they're not quite smart to undertand that.
Was until King Vegeta birth (The first smart saiyan) that Saiyans rebels agnaist they oppresors. We had both sides of the story, Vegeta hated them because they treated them as slaves and Dr. Raychi negegtling the fact they're had fault on their own demise.
This event was one of the reason why Freezer/Freiza wasn't very happy with the saiyans as allies, because they're known to rebel.
Baby's motivations where great until he decided to become a d*ck to everyone and mind slave the universe. Dr. Raychi/Laychi had the excuse that he is no longer his former self, but rather a sad lifeform that only knows hate.

I love the design. It's like the most primal version of the Sayians, where they finally focus all the power of a Golden Osaru through their smaller, more agile bodies.
One of the things I like and realized recently is how SSJ4 is kinda a callback to original DB in a way, even if not intentional. Because Goku was always terrified of this form and unable to control it. But in GT he’s forced to face it and learn to control it for the series ultimate form (at least in GT).

The 1st time I saw it was when I was playing the story mode of BT2 I thought SSJ3 was the last and suddenly SSJ4 popped out of nowhere, I was ridiculously shocked and mind blown of how different, badass, powerful, intimidating, charismatic and awesome it looked like, and the feel that it can do anything and top anything just the look of it itself gave me, it was like the best thing ever I had came across in that game or probably even in all of Dragon Ball, till this day it's still not just my most favorite SSJ but my most transformation in all of DB.

The only real problem I have with Super Saiyan 4 is the name. It's not as if it's part of the linear progression of 1, 2 and 3 - it's a completely different entity. I feel like a different name would have helped distinguish it from the others to the extent of its appearance - Great Saiyan, maybe?
Super Ape? Inner Beast? Complete Saiyan? I dunno, some ideas, hahahah.
I think Super Saiyan Beast would work.

Super Saiyan Prime. The intended Super Saiyan form. Back before Saiyan's evolved and became {albeit, slightly} more civilized creatures. This is why the legend is so vague. YES, Super Saiyan{and the other tiers} are very powerful, but Super Saiyan 4 was always the intended ultimate. Not to mention that with nobody acheiving Super Saiyan, it makes it almost impossible to get golden Oozaru, and then Super Saiyan 4. Hence further confuddling the Super Saiyan legend.
As far as my headcanon analysis goes, anyway.
ssj 4 transformation is the coolest transformation, much better than just hair colour change
I love SSJ4. It's the most original design since SSJ1. It's intimidating. It's Primal. It's not falling back on the safety net that Akira constantly jumps on. It's just really cool.
I still love Super Saiyan 4 but I'm less enthusiastic about GT. The Baby saga was good but even that left me feeling like parts of the arc could have been executed a little better. The Shadow Dragon arc is such a huge disappointment as there was so much potential wasted. I felt that the start and end of the series could have kicked some serious ass but was reduced to being slightly below average in the end. I still watch GT whenever I can find some good quality videos online though I can't remember what happened to all those VHS tapes I bought back in early 2000. LOL
Yeah for me it was Pan that ruined it, she was weak and annoying "Grandpa, Grandpa, Grandpa" ugggh, great way to write in a female character to appeal to little girls, NOT. Could of done so much more with her and maybe made some of the early stuff enjoyable instead of wishing Pan would get sent to the Otherworld as soon as possible.
But you are correct about the arcs, the first arc was very underwhelming and Pan serves no purpose but to be freaking annoying, Baby had potential but lacked anything to really grip on to in terms of anything but feeling a lot was filler before the Shadow Dragons and the Shadow Dragons while a great idea kind of didn't have any menace or threat till Nuova, Eis and Syn show up, the others are jokes and not funny at that.
Ok I will give the water dragon a break because the Bulma's panties wish is kind of funny since it is selfish and ridiculous so I kind of forgive that one being silly, but a giant mole? or a giant frog thing? come on the universe is at stake and they are dealing with pest control?!
Now people hate on it for all that is wrong and seem to forget there are gems in it eg SSJ4 or the idea of the Dragonballs having to balance out the karma of the wishes made on them was kind of interesting and put a stop to the whole "Oh no bad stuff, people dead, Dragonballs, all is well again."
+criss poyner You must really hate Super then for the way it relegates most of the female characters to a background housewife role. Everyone except Bulma (Bulma was also given a significant role in GT) is now a useless background character.
Pan was a teenager who acted brash and was actually given an actual role in the series. She was a main character for a while and fought in numerous battles. Her character was more developed than any of the female characters in Super.

If the Tail is removed, then the Transformation is also removed. You would then have to re-use Blutz Wave

Not everyone, unless you achieve SSJ1 you won't be able to become a golden ape thus you won't be able to become SSJ4, golden ape is pretty much Super Saiyan Ape, the reason why calling it "SSJ4" makes no sense, calling something else like "Ultimate Saiyan" since it is basically the ultimate form of Saiyan since it is a limit breaker, makes more sense to me... now I wonder if as an ape a Saiyan achieved Super Saiyan Ape 3, how the fuck Super Saiyan 4 would look like or be like or even be called?! SSJ6?! hmm....
Which we can say if a Saiyan has his tail and achieved SSB, he'd probably achieve something like "blue ape" imagine what kind of form he would achieve once he controls it in a human like form, SSB4 or call it SSJ5, hmm...
Super Saiyan 4 is about as menacing as a confused crossdresser at a furry convention.

In my own head canon, I use to assume that Goku returned to an adult form as an SSJ4 because his power was so immense while using it that it negated the wish granted by the dragon. That was the only way I ever made sense of it when I first watched it as a kid.
Vegeta in particular looks badass in SS4.
ss4 to me is still the coolest transformation. plus how it requires the golden ape form first is reach was a nice addition.
