- This documentary follows Kenyan runner Geoffrey (Kipsang) Kamworor, where it all began! Born in Keiyo on 22 November 1992 - when he was about to debut as a marathon runner. Expectations were high: it was thought that he will run a very good time at his first race. On 20 March 2011 he took the Gold Medal at the IAAF World Junior Cross Championships in Punta Umbria and he is one of the elite runners that has ran a half-marathon in less then an hour. We follow him from humble beginnings in his home country and at the training camp in Kaptagat, with his coach, Patrick Sang as he prepares for the international events and the chance to represent his country.
In 2018 he won his third straight half marathon world championship in Valencia in 1:00:02. Also in 2018 Kworor placed third in the 2018 New York City Marathon with a time of 2:06:26 behind the first and second place Ethiopian runners Lelisa Desisa and Shura Kitata.
Geoffrey Kipsang Kamworor came 2nd after Biwott in the TCS New York City Marathon, one of the biggest marathons in the world. He was also focused on beating Mo Farah in the 10K - and in the last World Championships he won silver, just after Mo.Facebook -

I am so glad he made a great come back in valencia marathon 2021 after horrific accident.

Proudly Kenyan🇰🇪
They are so humble.
Proud kenyan 🇰🇪
Can't wait for the return from injury for Geoffrey Kamworor
This documentary is from 2016, I'm surprised to not see Eliud Kipchoge anywhere in it, since that's his training group and coach (Patrick Sang.)
Just thought the same, may be they just wanted the focus to be on Geoffrey only.
Consider doing the same for Boston marathon Runners since 90s in times of Cosmas Ndeti, the 3 times Boston Marathon Winner.
Hes quite humble
Amazing people and culture, I hope I can visit one day!
Good job Geoffry 👏🏾👏🏾

He is now a champ..when was this recorded?
wait where those fellows washing the drinking bottles in a bath tab 🤔🤔
Kenya is nice green
22:02 RIP Moi 😥
damn
How much do they get from winning? He lives a very humble life
50:51 I was like. Wait wtf am I watching?
Lmao
Spider silk and tungsten are very similar
22:36 I am so pleased to see that God is welcomed to everyone in Kenya. That they pray before an event. That's the problem in some places they took God out of things. We may all have our own beliefs in God but why does he/she/it have to be shushed and not praised in public anymore without someone getting offended. IDK what happened along the way but it's part of the problem when we let people remove God from daily life....ahhhhhmen to that....with out believing in something what else do we have?
