My friend, check out nwdb.info! It has all the items in the game and info on here to get them. I use it a TON for putting builds together and farming all kinds of good equipment

as a long time light melee player, im so sick of the broken damage all the ranged weapons do. i feel like im getting two shot by musket bows fire staffs and bbs. i just want a break from the broken ranged meta its been so op for so long now. n watch youll see the light melee players get a nerf again before ranged.
Musket has and always will be busted until they actually nerf it into the ground which will never happen, FS you just gotta stack fire resist tbh, easy counter. Bow can stack so much empower, I think you can get up to like 70ish % empowerment lmao. AGS devs are just brainedead. Unfortunately they fail update after update...
get thrust and fire resist and youll be OK, sneak around behind them and bonk them on the head - back in the day when incinerate could do a big dbl hit I ran hammer with FS and snuck up behind musket trolls, stunned and then one hit them it felt niiiiice
I was a long time light armor hybrid. Last season I went medium and never looked back. I can still chase down light armor users with keen speed and other speed passive from my weapons. It's night and day. Medium is worth the small damage nerf for incredible survivability.
As a ranged player, anyone who tells u ranged vs melee is balanced us delusional. A ranged player will never get hit by a melee player if they dont mess up. The only ranged builds that take skill are throwing hatchet ones.
I think it's quite telling that most people build against ranged damage in PvP
I would suggest looking into relentless freedom as having it allows you to break free from root and slows. Add in a trenchant strikes for the harder hitting heavy attacks and a refreshing move for lower cooldowns and I think you would have a BIS GS for your build.
because of the capstone on greatsword already giving cdr on hit, i think plagued strikes is possibly better then refreshing move? but refreshing move is never bad and 100% on the other 2 perks!
Trenchent crits actually edges out trenchent strikes for max damage but only on crit! (This build has a really good crit rate)
Id love to have relentless on my armor for that immobilize counter tho
I’m using this build off of intelligence. It works very well with the burn damage. I think it makes up for the damage loss with the greatsword even though it’s still great for trades when it crits. Just relying more on the crits
What are your attribute stats? What armor do you run?
What about using a gem to make the GS scale off of int?

Hello! How are you today? Ive been looking into greatsword builds and stumbled upon the written guide amd it lead me here. I was confused on how youre doing close to double my damage when the damage increase you have over me should only be around 35%, because im currenlty in medium and dont have inferno. Is the damage calculation more complicated than that?
This build isnt worth running without inferno
Why not Void Gauntlets Void Blade as your "melee" weapon? You can run a normal Firestaff Int Build and boost your Void Blade damage. Also Oblivion for the FS is not bad.
Finally a build for beginner players
Honestly who even has full 725 yet? A build being attainable is one of the most important aspects of it!
I can't see anything in game suggesting the fire staff works with strength?

what’s like a nightblade build ? not necessarily the gank but what would you say is the most rogue/ninja this game has to offer ? i have a hard time believing the rapier is the go to for that desire …
Because of the Finisher bleed build, that’s as close as you’ll get to rogue. Light armor roll in, stack 2-3 tondo’s and then Finish and you’ll be essentially one shotting people. Just search firestaff rapier build. There’s a guy (forget his name) who has incredible clips of it.
He's right it's the only rouge like weapon pair it with a bow to feel more like an assassin hopefully they add dual weild eventually

@ no daggers currently. Closest to fast assassin type weapons is the hatchet.
Wont ankh be a good amulet for better shirking heals??
i would agree, and it can still have stamina recovery. problem is it can be very difficult to get because it comes from pvp track.
Yes it would be a good fit with all our healing, but getting it is the same deal as serenity

If you are talking about the arce type u pick on character creation. All it does is give u some levels in trade and gather skills and a different starting weapon. U are free to use whatever u want whenever u want.
how does the heeling breeze work? so it procs when you heal no matter what source it is? 35%reduced potency means 15%-35%?
yes so you lose 35% of the 15%, meaning on self its more like 10%. and the source does matter, its when you cause a heal, so being healed by an outside source doesnt trigger it.

@@ZND014 yes, any self heal. It can also be from a heart rune that heals you.
Would it work with the health regen food?
@@mckinneycody1 No. Healing Breeze works off of weapon abilities only, which does include heartrune heals, because they cause damage. Healing Breeze triggers a heal based on weapon damage.

Agree with your comments on CON. 100 works the same as 150 in my experience. 200 CON is where it feels like a difference exists.
Have you tried this as an INT build with a conversion gem in the GS? I played a bit of heavy GS/FS and it was serviceable with the INT scaling gem at the time.
Honestly you can go that route, the fs will be better (until they fix inferno burn scaleing) but you loose a ton of gs damage with the gem.. I think on a tank build it probably works better because your likely investing more points into CON, meaning more of the damage calc is weighted on the weapon vs your attributes.
When I tested this for my build the gs damage cut was huge, and I would not be able to replicate this gameplay with it.
How good is it pve?
Actually quite good with the GS, but you'll want to run a different artifact armor piece than tumblers since its a conditional proc!

at season 7 pvp server start i will do ss/hatchet-gs and inferno/venom when i am 50 lvl and light armor is best.

I love serenity! But getting it is the real problem (I have on my old acc). The great thing about serenity is the empower it gives actually persists after weapon swapping. Personally, I really enjoyed serenity + syncretic musket! But honestly it pairs well with any dex or str scaling weapons
So why do you use a strength weapon with an intellect weapon? This game infuriates me for the builds
