The intersection at Subway is the busiest in central Patts. There will be plenty to see in a 20 min video, at night it can be bedlam. Bet you get more than you bargain for with that video, but please do it as I think it could be very entertaining.

There's no subway there it's a snobway actually. What business snobway has in Pattaya is obviously nefarious. There is a subway at Pattay Festival. Fin.

What a well thought out location for an AA… sandwiched in between two bars on a street with a dozen bars. Genius! 👍🏼
Location in many ways is irrelevant when you consider there are bars every 50m here

Alcoholism - an important issue. As a non-drinker, I often get astonished looks in the bars when I order my orange juice. I'm worried about the high alcohol consumption among the girls, I've lost a very good girlfriend because of it. Even without alcohol, life in Pattaya is beautiful and fun. Alcohol is not needed for having a good time there.

True... the girls in bars specially in high seizoen got to drink a lot to get to the demanded drinks barowners want. Ofcorse there drinks are waterdown a bit until the customer starts to order shots. Girls work most of the times 6 day a week and get commission from the drinks and ofcorse they can get barfined for aerobics. In fact regular thaipeople say its the easy way to make money. But its not the loud music the alcohol the diseases you can get from all the sex. But still we farang go there for a good time. So i treat lady always with respect she dont have to be drunk. I ask her you want soda ore alcohol drink i pay same price ladydrink no problem. Because yes you can have fun without alcohol. And aerobics do it save and give a tip

Alcohol is one of the great pleasures of my life. I have a very strict rule though..no beer before 9 in the morning.

You walked past my favorite music venue in Pattaya. Rock Factory is so much fun and has great bands. You should interview the owner. He is an amazing dude with tons of great stories about the Rock n Roll life he leads.

I love early mornings in Pattaya. Bit of a long story but my son and myself met Brian Jacks through a person we met in Pattaya. The friend took us to where his business is, and from there we went for breakfast with Brian. In total there was about 8 of us. Brilliant morning and Brian was so down to earth. Some of his stories were brilliant. Brian was a great role model when i was younger. I loved Superstars, and i followed his Judo career. I could not believe the size of his hands LOL.

Watching the world go by sounds like a great idea. There has been recent videos, whole tv series, that do just that. I recently saw one of a well known train journey, just showing the scenery for several hours as the trip progressed. Similarly, I am quite a fan of the various country “Walk arounds”, there is no commentary, only the filming of what is happening, along with all the various sounds, including people speaking to each other. Granted, this may not be for everyone, but I find it interesting. Keep up the good work.

Static Vid sounds a great idea Trev. The corner/junction you suggest is just up from my 1st Billet, did a lora, lora people watching there back in the day whilst trying to get my head round the great adventure that is the LOS 😎 Your dulcet tones create a great back drop to your vids which give us Brits back home one of our daily fixes whilst waiting for the next trip to come round. People watching from various spots there is one of the things i like most during the day. The chicane outside Weatherspoons is another good spot. The front of Hooters used to be a fantastic place in the evening back when all the freelancers were shoulder to shoulder. I can give you a long list of possible locations :). Do the videos, it will allow those of us not there to zone out for a while and look forward to the next visit.

Great idea. When I go over I like to sit at a bar and people watch sometimes have my phone going and comment along the lines of - "This bloke is in for a surprise when he gets back to the room with his 'lady friend'." See how many times I try to get sold a watch or tablets, check out all the 'handsome men' with their friend. Watching all the deals and banter between people

A few vloggers have done the static camera thing. I remember one set up outside Prime Burger and did a livestream early evening. As long as you’re not directly filming a bar/girls working i don’t see a problem.
Respect for showing an AA room, I believe there’s a few dotted around. They provoke an invaluable platform.
Heard the same rumours re treetown. You get the reeling change is coming one way or another whatever that may be. Building that number of bars in Soi MIT something has to give.

Well here in California we have the Weight Watchers offices right next to Cold Stone Creamery (Ice Cream) - so an AA meeting just a few steps away from (Happy Hour) is life's intense temptations.

People watching - I'd be careful. People hate the youtube vloggers who just do videos of WS etc. Lots of talk about privacy and the risk of innocent people being captured on video, which could have repercussions to that person if they were to be found by someone they know to have been in Pattaya. I got dinged one time walking to Soi Bongkot by a vlogger. I still don't know to this day who he was, and I couldn't find the video. You are always careful about asking people if they mind being shown on the video. But a static video at that location doesn't give anyone an option to opt out.
I guess they could have been caught in your videos before. And I don't think it is the same as the vloggers who people tend to not like. But I guess there is a line somewhere, and a static camera on a popular junction would be verging close to that.
The only thing I can say is I will be sat at a junction not in any girly area

so question for you. I see a lot of mopeds around there. But I haven't seen any proper Motorcycles.. are those just not a thing out there?
Scooters are way more popular. Alot cheaper and more practical than big bikes.

Acqua Hotel used to be amazing. Small rooms but really good quality. Now, with Treetown, it is 50/50 whether you will get a good night's sleep. If your room is facing Treetown, and is in the building closest to Treetown, you are screwed. I've stayed there a couple of times. Sadly, when I contacted them, they couldn't guarantee a non-treetown side room.

People Watching... Definitely a yes from me, I've enjoyed it for years. Sit in a cafe/bar, maybe a book or newspaper in your hands (you don't need to be reading it) and enjoy watching the world go by.
The rumour mill re. Tree Town... Don't be surprised if it happens. There's BIG money being spent in Pattaya and we all understand how that "Influences" decision making in Thailand (and elsewhere).
Walking Street being stripped of the Illumimations... Maybe the traders need to band together to try getting those Gantry's all along the street but, it was clearly out of control as it was, with a culture of "mine's bigger than your's" on the old signs. Sad they've gone? Yes. But it was out of control.
One thing I don't think anyone has mentioned and, it's a vast improvement... The Rats nest of cables has gone, how many fires have there been previously? That was just out & out dagerous. Who knows, maybe the cabling being sorted uncovered other seriously dodgy issues with the signs?

Soi Made in Thailand vs Tree Town. That reminds me of what the did with one of the old bar areas on Sukhumvit. The owners decided to bull doze it at short notice just after the bar owners had moved in. They expected everyone on the site to just move elsewhere. Went to court IIRC but that was years after the event. They started building a tower on the site but that came to a halt due to the Asia down in the 90s.
