      Meat. Nothing else. It will change your life 100% if you can’t do it. Getting through about a week is really tough. Especially if you were the typical person who basically eats nothing but carbs and fat. Nothing wrong with fat. In fact it should make up well over half of your calories. You just can’t eat carbs. Meat only and preferably fatty meats. Ribeye is best on zero carb diet. Be very careful with what sauces you use as most sauces are very bad for you and high in sugar. I would recommend Worcestershire sauce. Healthiest I know of. If you can get through that, you will feel so good and be losing weight so fast and your blood sugar will never deviate from 80 to 100. Never. And because your blood sugar never changes your energy is just fantastic and you feel good all the time. Ups and downs and blood sugar is what causes us to not feel good and become tired or lethargic. People think you need carbs for energy. It is the exact opposite of that. You do not need carbs for anything. You need fat for energy and you need protein because the amino acids in protein are the building blocks of everything. I have been a personal trainer and teaching people health and nutrition since 1993.

    I've been stuck, unable to get back to eating clean/healthy till I started watching/listening to your videos. After 3 yrs, I finally got back on track. Doing the intermittent fasting has been a wonderful change for me. I started Jan 1st and down 24.5 lbs as of Jan 18th. I started feeling so much better just getting off the fried foods, breads and other carbs. I've been drinking orange juice every morning and discovered that that's not good to do....Need to change up and go with lemon water instead. Also need to stop taking the synthetic multi vitamins too! Only eat at 9am, 1pm and 5pm with 1pm as my main mealtime. I feel so much better now. Even can see my face is showing improvements in it's pigmentation, less puffiness and the brown/liver spots are becoming lighter. Already got off blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol meds. Hope at some point, to stop taking gout meds too if possible. Still need to lose 70-80 lbs more but at least I'm on the right track/plan now. Thanks so much Dr Berg!

    Dear Dr Eric, I’d be really grateful if you could do a video someday about things that can help those of us on a low income who are bedbound, wheelchair bound and not physically able to cook for ourselves (and may struggle to find a home carer who can cook.) I love your work and you’d be breaking the mould because almost every video about how to keep healthy is aimed at people who’s baseline health is good enough that they can make new choices to get physically fitter and prepare more nutritious (and therefore, in the Western World, far more expensive) food for ourselves. No-one much cares about us as we are outside of society and there will always be people who either think that a) because we are economically inactive, it would be better that we die for the sake of everyone else, even in our 20s or 30s (a recent survey I read said that around 58% of our population here in the U.K. feel that way about us,) or that because they watched a YT video they think we can positive think our way to regaining full mobility and just aren’t trying hard enough. Also there are some of us who have to take prescribed medication that causes a fatty liver but without which we couldn’t function. I may be a lone voice in a wilderness here but if you could help some of us out with a video or two on what we could do to avoid visceral fat and all that goes with it when we’re too sick to actually move or quickly prepare proper food, I and thousands of others would be eternally grateful. The number of times in one day some of us watch a video and then have to stop because it’s just not possible to take the advice given. A huge number of us have paid our taxes, been gym bunnies and even over-achieved before permanent, incurable illnesses have befallen us and yet we live in a world where almost nothing includes us. I never truly understood how this would feel until it happened to me, and it’s worth noting this can happen to anyone. If you do read this (or any similar content creators read it,) a huge thank you in advance. Here in the UK not everyone even has access to care or benefits and anything that can slightly improve the quality of life of someone who’s body doesn’t work any more would be amazing.

I saw how orange juice were made at my school - a whole bucket of oranges with skin on, dumped into the machine. Reason why "orange juice" is bitter. How do I know if they even washed those? Imagine orance juice in bottles. Ever since, no store bought orange juice for me.

      If you pick up an avocado from Mexico how would you know if it had ddt or not? That's the point. I've personally never seen produce sold in the US advertised as organic. I suspect it would be kind of hard for a Mexican farm to be usda compliant. I dont think the tip was meant to be disparaging of third world countries, just a simple observation regarding US children having ddt in their bodies even though ddt has been banned here for decades so it must be coming from somewhere.

We passed a law way back 1984 to prohibit the use of DDT in my country. Actually, we export a lot of fruits and vegetable to our country and the FDA is very strict in this contaminant and it will never allow any plant contaminated with DDT. Also in Chile, we have strong fiscalization on that matter. We are not a 3rd world country.

      Organic F&V tends to be smaller and more pale than their chemically grown counterparts, also; all Organics usually taste better in general -- if it comes to a blind taste test.

    So, how about freshly squeezed orange juice?

  • @thefirehawk1495
    @thefirehawk1495 Год назад +11

    I'm from the EU so my comment will mainly focus on this advice as it pertains to it
    1 - In the EU a lot of natural juices are not cooked but have a very small expiration date and sometimes some preservatives, however, almost everywhere here will have oranges to make you a fresh cup of OJ if you want, including machines to make your own in the supermarket.
    2 - Yes
    3 - Almost never used in the EU, not a problem.
    4 - Nitrates occur in many other things like wines, but usually it's in a safe range, some of our health authorities (depends on the country) are aware of the problem and that's routinely tested.
    5 - I don't know enough to comment on.
    6 - Yes
    7 - AFAIK there's no actual evidence that treating crops with DDT causes issues in people, there are a few massively flawed studies but that's it, do correct me if I'm wrong by linking decent studies

    Dr. Berg, be careful with this third world country generalization. Agriculture in Mexico is COMPLETELY different than in Brazil, Chile and Argentina for example. These last three have very advanced and strict guidelines for exported products. Chille is known to be a big wine exporter, and organic wine as well. Brazil is a big exporter especially to Europe, usually inspections are done by both parties. In Brazil corn syrup is forbidden in sodas, only pure cane sugar is used, even though the country is a big producer of corn, known to be pioneer on corn fuel for automobile. I worke for almost 30 years for the CIRAD, French agriculture inspections and research and lived in these three counties for work. DDT might be use to combat malaria or other pests occasionally during seasonal contamination but extremely banned in the big producing plantations cultivated for exportation.

      With all the corruption of drug cartels running the government, stealing gasoline and selling it on the black market, paying people to sneak in drugs, and human trafficking, DDT may be prohibited but unlikely enforced.
