Priest opened up with this at the first Castle Donnington festival in 1980. I was near the left hand PA stack which was about the size of a two-story house and when Rob stuck the microphone in the exhaust of the motorbike and revved it, a couple of thousand people near the front cheeks were wobbling from the sound waves! It remains the loudest thing I've ever heard.
@@DeathMetalinfedel Yep, that's how he broke his nose, knocked himself unconscious and nearly decapitated himself back in the 90's...on a non-running motorcycle.
@@fishcious lol, have you seen the video when he fell? Literally the same as all the others. They pushed him out, except that time he hit the riser and the bike fell over. It sucked he was injured but it doesn't mean the bike was running. He is pushed out from the side. There is a small ramp that gives some extra go and that's it. It has never been actually running. Notice he never goes more than a few yards from where he enters? They are performers. Accept that it's a performance nothing more. If he "almost" died on a non running bike, imagine if he were allowed to actually drive one under power... Too much liability.
Judas Priest always delivers the goods! (pun) Watching Glenn play is simply amazing....such an effortless style and technique across fretboard, no wasted movements while fighting early stages of Parkinson's. Long Live the Metal Gods!
He got around the stage fairly well last week in Huntsville Al.He walking slower and not banging as he used to of course at 70.But his voice was still strong and hitting the high notes no problem.Great show!
When I die, bury me deep, put 2 speakers by my feet; wrap some headphones around my head and keep me rocking while I'm dead. (Yeah, I know, it's an old one)
I saw Priest Headline a small hall (2000 seat) around 1979 or 1980 in Cleveland. A very young Def Leppard opened, then Scorpions, and Judas Priest. One of the best shows ever! A few years later, all 3 bands became Some of the top acts in the 80's.
Fuck yeah! I remember Halford driving a Harley out on stage when I was 6th row at a concert in Denver in the early 80's! My ears rang for days after that concert...loudest one I've ever been to! Judas Priest are metal gods!
I remember blasting this in on my boom box in High school, JUDAS PRIEST has always been one of my favorite Heavy Metal bands and nothing has changed my mind
Do they are amazing. Saw them in a small venue in Dublin in 1990 with pretty much the origional line up and it was crazy in the pit ,iwas only 14 and was blown away.
Going to see Priest with Sabaton in Oct . Since my favorite part of the pride parade is seeing the leathermen I cant wait to see Rob live in his leatherman gear and whip ...he can whip me anytime !!!!
HBFL stops at 4:10. After that, thundering solos from metal heaven!!! When it takes 1.5 minutes to end the song, that's how You know Judas Priest are AWESOME!!!

Rob is the the greatest heavy metal singer ever. Hands down

Only Rob Halford, truly a badass
Saw them two months ago dude still does it as their encore
@@AlexanderTheGrey My friend seen him yesterday told me that Rob is younger than him haha
Tim Owens used to do the same during his tenure with Priest.
Saw them in 1980, my junior year in high school. My ears are still ringing to this day.
You damaged your hearing bro...no good
Worth it
You’ve obviously never seen Motörhead in a theater 1/2 that size 🤪
Yep they played loud back in the day
When I saw them about 15 years ago the sound was complete sh**. It’s nothing like what you see in a video like this one.
I don't know why but Rob Halford's voice is so satisfying 😅😅😅 it almost feels like it tickles my brain 😅😅😅
He’s sounds better now than when he did when he was young. He sounds more metal now
One of the greatest metal bands ever!!
Finally going into the rock n roll hall of fame this year
yes
O.M.G...It's them and Sabbath 1-2. ..Jesus Christ!
Not true!! THE BEST BAND EVER!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I would have loved to hear that.
Wonder if they sound checked that. Bet the sound guy was about to lose his shit too, either way
You know the bike isn't running, correct? They play a recording. It's never been running on stage, ever....

My heart goes out to Glenn. A true metal warrior.
I have always said that he is the master of making fast look slow...😀
For those asking about Rob's posture, he's been dealing with hip pain for several years now.
Now there's a conspiracy theory that Dusty Hill died due to hip pain

Yes.. and Painkiller...
Heavy as they come baybay.
This is how HBFL should always be performed… with Rob riding a motorcycle onstage!
Normally, I don't like much when a band change or add a new parts to a classic song, but man Richie's solo is amazing!
I've been a KK fan since British Steel, but Richie is just a freaking rock God!!
That was a good way to introduce himself & demonstrate he can hang with the other guys on stage, Ritchie has the right stuff
The crowd is just diggin' it !
That's a good vibe in that room
When I die, bury me deep, put 2 speakers by my feet; wrap some headphones around my head and keep me rocking while I'm dead. (Yeah, I know, it's an old one)
But a good one

Glenn still rocking the red leather pants. My favorite band growing up in the 80s. Saw them in 84 at Maple leaf gardens in Toronto
