Can we take a moment to appreciate how freaking awesome it is to get full, HD, high quality recordings for FREE pretty darn often nowadays? I remember when I had to hunt for VHS tapes that would be released once in a full moon and later on for DVDs and manually controlling it back and forth with a remote. Finding them was particularly difficult in my country as well. Now with a single notification showing up, wham, here we are!
Older fan here...love these video's. And Metallica is still King and will stay King...but not so much for me I have to say :( I loved waiting and waiting and waiting for news, for live tapes, for live b-tracks or live vhs and dvd's. It was more a mystery. What will they do? Now I now this and see this performance which is 100% accurate...strange...Metallica always made small mistake...I like those mistakes...so not a big fan of this edited performances. (how they do it: like any other band. film the performance of that night, and edit the sound with oter performances till it is alomost perfect...you don't expect mr. Ulrich perfectionist to just drop a performance on the net like that :P :P). Still for younger fans it's amazing.
This was my first Metallica concert and it was the best time of my life. I have bad depression and this was the first time in a long time were I really felt happy and enjoyed myself. Music can really be the best medicine.
Amen! Don't ever give up or give in to the depression. Metallica has gotten me through some very hard times. I wonder if they know how many people they have touched and lives they have saved.

James hasn't sounded this good since the early 90s. I'm convinced it's the cigars lol. Weird note: I have seen them 8 times live and they played this song every time, even though it's not a huge staple of their setlist. One of my faves.
The smoking is definitely giving him his raspy voice back. Surprising to hear some of these vocal sounds coming from him so late in their career, but its awesome to get to hear it

I think he does too. Tbh I think his current deeper voice sounds better than it did when he was younger. It sounds more impactful and heavy if that makes any sense, which only enhances their music imo.
Yes, after their S&M and his return I thought he was done for. Somehow, he came back just as strong as back then. I have NO idea how he did it. It's a shame for other bands though because, for example, I cannot listen to Dream Theater anymore, their singer just spoils the whole thing live so I stick to recordings or the occasional nice live performance.
Im telling you guys first hand... They were ON FIRE that night. Lars was so tight and James' voice was so good. The guitars were so loud and clear. Much better sound than when I saw them at Foxborough and Philly in 2017.

I was about 18 when I saw them on the Black Album tour. I haven't enjoyed their newer stuff but And Justice For All and the 3 before it are still favorites. And they sound pretty good playing the old stuff still.

A lot of people saying they were there that night. Well, so was I! I completely lost my shit when they played this. Coming right out of Creeping Death and into this is such a high intensity way to start a show. I was completely blown away. They were unreal!

My first Metallica concert was the "And Justice for All" tour, 1989. Queensryche, of all bands opened for them that night. Sorrow is my favorite song on that album. 35 years later, still sounds amazing. :)

First Metallica show for me! It was a last minute ticket purchase the morning of...Paid 54 bucks on TickPick for a nosebleed seat. I didn't care, I just wanted to be there! Ended up roaming around when I got there and stood over a rail watching the first 1/3 of the show. Ended up getting bold and moved lower and lower until right before Orion I walked down past the ushers and made my way onto the floor!! Didn't think it would work but it did. Had the time of my life the whole night! Top tier experience

How about adding another song from the AFJA album to this tour's set list? It's been ten years since the last time "And Justice for All" was played live, so that would be a good choice. Although any other song from AFJA than One, Blackend and Harvester of Sorrow being played live on the m72 tour would be a memorable event!

What an awesome vid... .saw them a few months back in Detroit. Metallica always brings it. I'm always awestruck at how much effort they put into their shows... I don't think these guys could phone it in if their life depended on it....
