Many thanks to The Quarter Guy for inviting me onto this countdown. I didn't just have a ton of fun scripting this with him, but I've learned a lot based on watching this video today as well as properly scripting a collab with someone. These abilities will come in good use for the near future, I assure you. Hope you all enjoy the countdown as well. ROCK ON! -R
To be fair I was not looking forward to hunting Kirin, but I slayed the elder dragoncorn on my first attempt. A monster more worthy of the number 1 spot than Rajang *IS LEGIANA THE ICE BLIGHT SPPAMMING CHICKEN HEAD!!*
Don't hate glavenus or Garuga in iceborne. They're a little annoying, but otherwise cool monsters and fairly tolerable. Rajang however...Pissed me off to no end.
Caleb Olds so coming from someone who absolutely loves the designs I agree. Also coming from someone who thought it would be a good idea to get a full set of the armor I hate it with a passion
Let's see, its attacks are way too obnoxious to dodge, its hit detection is borderline 4U Yian Garuga (its double bite and big tail swing are prime examples) and the fact that it constantly exploits the camera and cheapshots you before you can even SEE the damn thing. I swear, if it weren't for Brave LS in Double Cross, I would've thrown my 3DS to a wall.
Avalos Altair Miraos how is that one style with a certain weapon makes this monster less obnoxious. In fact I don't know any attack being obnoxious at all. Yes the bite can be annoying but all monsters have an annoying bite attack with little to no wind up and the tail slams aren't hard to dodge since those take longer to wind up and rolling to the side should be enough. Not only that but how does it exploit the camera. You mean the pivots it constantly does right. That's what the target lock is for. If you're having trouble with a monster then you have to learn what annoys you the most and figure out how to lessen that annoyance.
21:17 Minor Correction: as of 4U, khezu does give the spotted status, so you can in fact superman dive from Khezu and lock on to it. Still doesn't make it any less of an atrocity though
Friend, a world hunter: "Man diablos's hit box is like being attacked with a skyscraper" Me, watching this hub hunter post a plesioth quest for the third time in a row in XX: "Pardon me while I choke on my envy"
Ah, yes.. You all remember that quest in 4U where you had to beat an Apex Rajang without any armor? In the arena? Where there's nowhere to run? Because I do! Me and my friends attempted that thing for months. T-T We eventually took it down, and it was the single most satisfying thing I've done in gaming.
God have mercy on you guys... were the early gens that bad? I play MHW, just got into the series. I’m getting generations on ds (probably), and after seeing this list, I’m praying (besides glavenus, obv) that none of these make an appearance.
@@rbrachy2518 I've not watched the vid yet, and I've not played generations but I've played MH4U and I can already tell, most of them on this video are going to be on it.
R3215TANC3 eh, I’m fine now. I finished gen and thankfully all the super hard monsters were heavily nerfed, especially khezu and plesioth. But now I’m playing 4U. I just completed the first urgent quest, so I’m sure there are plenty of challenges to come, and they won’t be nerfed this time...
What the hell man! I love fighting Glavenus. He's exciting, he looks badass, his attacks are unique, his deviant form is scary as hell,he has the best fire element weapons and to top it all off, he has one of the coolest themes in monster hunter
Personally I find his theme to be the weakest of the four. He looks cool yes, but the way he fights gets to be very predictable, but the hitboxes are massive so he's likely to land hits. His speed with that is also annoying. The deviant isnt scary imo, the explosions are just annoying, cant deny his gear is good though
I watched this video a long time ago and thought the video was kinda shit. I now watched it again and now realize why this channel still has less than 50000 subs. Its shit
*randomly slams tail sideways *someone several feet behind glavenus dies Also, pretty sure he hits people at the start of his jumps like bracydios do. Granted, gammoth still holds the trophy for the biggest jackass among the 4 edgelords, but come on.
Ary Pramana >biggest jackass >literally the easiest of the Fated 4 >complaining about Glav hitboxes >Glav has among the tightest hitboxes in the series, to the point where i-framing Glavenus attacks is the easiest possible start to learning how to i-frame ??????
Tis the nature of Monster Hunter. Some of the more annoying beasts in early-generations have gotten better, Rathian and Rathalos were far clunkier and would often just spam their signature attacks for example, but for the most part they improved over the gens, and Kirin in every installment's had more soft counters and ways to screw with it slowly added, like it being easy to knock down with blunt weapons apparently being a thing. Another thing of note is that several of them also didn't star in a game from FU until either Generations or the upcoming XX (in the case of Congalala, iirc) thus they skipped a generation or two they could develop further. And some like Plesioth, well they always sucked.
Kirins are also insanely weak to the Sleep status so Sleep Bombing was one of the most effective means of cutting your hunting time in half if your party was competent enough. On the subject of Kirins, apparently they're a major part of the Rajang's diet, hence why they're so full of electric power.
Most of the people hate some of the old monsters mostly for the gameplay. (Especially the first gen of subspecies). In other contexts like Stories it's a totally different thing.
“Its happening, the rajang game is limping 😆, time to use my ma-“ rajang jump out of nowhere and steals your max potion, eating it himself. “FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-“ Reaper has quit monster hunter and life.
When I faced the Emerald Congalala for the first time, I used an insect glaive to try and mount it. It then farted so hard that my character glitched the game and went past the cave ceiling. DEAR GOD CAPCOM WHY?!
You started with Gypceros... you started with Rubber death chicken. You guys know what your talkin about. -Rubber bounce hide -Blinding -Strech tail whip -Poison -Item stealing -Wind preassure from wings -Playing dead -Flying I hate this monster
I always wondered why some players of this game have bad memories, and why the hunts have a max time limit of 50 minutes. Now I know, besides playing World.
Welcome to the Old World fiver, you may have experience in the new world, but here, the rules are much different, and the monsters aren't quite as passive, saddle up, you're in for a ride
One thing I learned from fighting Glavenus is that just before it does its signature attack, there is a very brief pause of sound that acts as extremely suttle indicator of when to dodge or block it. You can tell what I mean when you’ve listened to the grinding sound about 10 times. P:S If you hate Diablos, you’re gonna love its new deviant, which adds radial groundpounds with some of its older moves, plus it can turn while charging AND regenerate its broken horns.
As a Blademaster, Glavenus is one of my least favorite monsters to fight. As a Gunner though, it's one of my favorites. Fighting at the midrange used by bows and bowguns, his attacks are much more manageable to dodge, and I find the fight on the whole to be engaging and fun.
I always felt like a baller fighting Glav as Blademaster because I discovered a blindspot in its big dumb spin attack by standing under its legs. I think younger me would've raged otherwise.
Brutality Incarnate might be an understatement for the Rajang in my book. Every time I faced this abomination for solo runs back in 4 Ultimate, I was so close to breaking my 3ds over this thing. Rajang has been the stuff of nightmares for me and fighting against an Apex version of the Rajang, even when fighting with 3 others is just ASKING to be destroyed and sent to the hospital.
Rajang in FU was predictable as hell, especially Golden Rajang. He had a lot of set combos which means it was easy to punish and decimate him without getting hit. MH4U and Gen... not so much.
Quinton Blackburn Yeah Rajang was a joke in 2/Dos(Original release for PS2 in Japan) and Freedom Unite But in 4U and Gen it got buffed hard It act like Zinogre which is having 2 Rage mode but the 2nd rage mode is Crimson's and White Fatalis's Arm armour It move super fast, it can throw Boulder the size of a Tank(Apex Mode), and The buffed Air Spin attack in G rank was just wow Deviljho was hard in MHW especialy Tempered Jho(I think Rajang will sadly be nerfed if it will be in MHW lets hope they dont nerfed it but at the same time also hoping Capcom nerfed it)
WrathNebula321 once you learn it in and out its fun but the process is hell. Hey though, when ya learn to cut the tail off its fine. That and is AI is a little wonky.
I totally agree with the Yian Garuga being a nuisance. I fought him many times and I was always being held back by fire, poison, and constant load screeching.
Same here. Glavenus, Diablos, and, at least for me, Yian Garuga are a lot of fun, but to me Khezu is just middle of the road and I think Kirin could have been traded out for Lunastra and no one would say no to it.
@@phoenixstar0755 Kirin and Lunastra are both painful monsters. Kirin has the fast jumpy shit combined with the potential paralysis and stuns of his lightning, But Lunastra is like Teostra decided to be a massive dickhead and leave AOE fire patches after her mini-nuke. Also that goddamn tail slap....😡 Speaking of Kirin, Whoever decided to even get to Rajang in iceborne you'd have to fight a hornless kirin in permanent rage mode that can't be flinch shotted into walls, Deserves a middle finger salute for their cruelty.
@@MementoMori7777 The wounded Kirin battle wasn’t that bad for me, as I just used a lance and the fight was over in about 20 minutes, and I didn’t even notice that it was permanently raging. but Teostra and Lunastra are the epicenter of painful elder dragons. Fighting either of them it’s clear they reject anyone who uses gunlance, as that makes the fight near impossible to do damage without getting hurt yourself, and this goes especially well with Teostra in Rise, who just might be the worst monster in the game. And as for Lunatsra…Lunatsra is nothing less than over twice, if not three times the pain of other Elder dragons, and then some. The blue fire is just BS, and the wind pressure on top of that is even more BS. And I can understand that Kirin can throw you into the air for a little bit but he doesn’t have anything that is guaranteed to nearly kill you no matter what you do about it. And the worst part is there’s almost no way to properly counter Lunatsra. Screw. This. Monster. This is the reason why I waited so long to get the temporal mantle.
Ah the amount of tears and rage dealing with all 10 monsters on this list: 10. Gypceros: screw you and your annoying playing dead, poison, and stealing items 9. Glavenus: walking whetstone great sword who's deviant form charted us more times than I can count. 8. Congalala: not that much of a problem, but still annoying walking fart joke. 7. Yian Garuga: annoying edgy bird that kina grew on me, but hated the roar into poison backflip combo. 6. Gravios: big daddios aka walking spamming rail gun aka annoying hard skin that ruins sharpness 5. Kirin: aka Debby, aka won't stay still, aka one of my friends most hated monsters aka lightning spam aka friendship is not magical 4. Diablos: stampeded and trampled on, gotta go fast when enraged, carted more from it's female mate. 3. Khezu: WHY WON'T YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!! Also screw your electric attacks 2. Plesioth: FUCK YOUR STUPID HITBOX!!!!!! 1. Rajang: I don't want you to show me what it's like to go even further beyond. Your punch combo and Blanka spin is annoying. So much rage behind every attack.
18:08 note sorry for the long comment but please like this. (Diablos charges at the hunter at full speed) Hunter: what do i do, what do I do, what do I do!? Meanwhile in the hunter's head he hears a faint yell of a word. Piccolo: DODGE! hunter: what? (HIT BY DIABLOS) AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! Three retries later. Hunter: AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! (falls flat on the ground after being KO'ED from the Diablos) On the way to the camp the hunter hears the same voice again before it disappeared forever. Piccolo: Why didn't you DOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Hunter Zickafoose Diablos in older game was ridicilously fast in 3,Portable 3rd, 3U, 4U, Gen and GU But at least they dont Homing charge at you like it did in Freedom Unite SCREW THE ENTIRE BLOS FAMMILY IN THAT GAME!!!! Surprisingly they are a joke when i use a Switchaxe XD
This was a damn good list, especially with Regnilla’s perspective on Gen 1 Monster Hunter (that freaking Gen 1 Plesioth!). In fact, just having channels that cover Monster Hunter content is a blessing. Only things I find myself disagreeing with are Glavenus (it’s a personal favourite of mine, but you guys did make some good arguments) and the uncomfortable sex joke in the Diablos segment. Other than that, like I said, good list.
Oh man, you guys made my day. I have been playing monster hunter since the Ps2 era, and i really appreciate all the nostalgic references from the older generations, especially the plesioth in the cave in gen 1 and the absurd hit boxes in gen 2. Too bad this video did not include worst missions, or i know you guys would have included the powderstone quest with the blasted Gravios in Monster Hunter 1. You have earned a subscriber my bros.
Ok, so I've done every hunt MHFU, and have over 2k hours logged in that amazing entry. I know the game well enough, I've farmed nearly everything into oblivion, and I really had a good time doing it. That said, fuck half the monsters in that game. It's like it was made just to punish you for buying a PSP. Rathalos, when raging, had the option of a 0.1 second delay between attacking with sweeping tail strikes or bites straight into a cross-arena charge, and with how ridiculously high his attack spiked whenever he got angry, this was just all the deaths until you learned to adapt. Tigrex hit-boxes were second only to the Plesioth in their disregard for physics and your well-being. Combined with his ability to bite forward, and hit you when you're standing behind him, makes for a neat party trick and a furious hunter. His ranged attacks, where he'd lob snow-boulders or hunks of sandstone, were easily dodged at range, but if you were right up close, all three projectiles would count as hitting you, erasing any hunter not currently guarding, and pulling a 150-to-0 stamina drain and STILL damaging you, even behind the thick shield of a lance. Hypnocatrice were criminal bloody rapists (not much more to add to that). Blangonga were simply too fast for half the weapons to be a viable option in any of their hunts. Being able to leap in any of the four cardinal directions at a whim, let alone being able to do so offensively, is a damn crime. Ukanlos was the king of killing people through GUTS with his burrowing charge. Get caught in it and he can juggle you backwards for another 2-3 hits, chunking you down steadily as he drags you to your frozen death. Teostra's nigh-invisible warning embers, which can target you from any range at G-rank, and that will definitely erase a gunner from full hp if they don't instantly react to something they likely never had a chance to see (damnable wheat fields in the new swamp...). Also, side note here but screw the rock-paper-scissors elder dragons and their requirement of "needing dragon element damage" before certain parts of their bodies can be broken. That's some BS. I definitely want to give an extra special "go fuck yourself" shout out to "the one-horned demon king" Black Diablos fight. At hunter rank six they just place it inconspicuously in the hunt list, not a required hunt or anything, but it sits there. This bastard has HP and damage on par with a G-rank monster, starts with one horn broken (which means he can't properly get himself stuck in pillars and walls, he breaks out faster than normal)(it also means he's much more prone to raging, during which he's capable of 1-shotting anyone here with level-appropriate gear), and bloody regens life while out of combat. You fight him in the desert, too, so you've got to carefully manage your temperature while also not letting him get away from you for too long or he'll recover enough to the point where 50 minutes might not be enough time to put him down, even in G-rank gear. The entire hunt is a dumpster-fire outside an abandoned blockbuster video...
Dude, seriously. People always talk about Rajang, Deviljho, and Kirin, but I don't think I've ever been more annoyed by a monster than the fucking Gypceros.
Okay flagship monsters are cool But Rathalos fight is.... poorly designed Hell even Lagiacrus Underwater is more fun than Rathalos staying in the air 99% of the time
You really wrote that expecting a pat on the back or people to pay attention to you for it? Lmao you played a videogame dude. Not an accomplishment. You even played the shittiest MH game too
@@Gankstomper oh brother, talk about being a negative nancy. I am not expecting attention or a pat on the back, I am just saying i was happy to help, no more, no less. Also, the number of sales for Monster Hunter World say otherwise.
30:10 I call this attack "Thunder Scream" because he always roars when he does it and it sounds awesome. I don't think the Rajang is that bad. Honestly weaving in and out of his attacks without getting hit makes me feel like a badass. Same goes for Tigrex.
Having fought almost all of these myself, I can safely say that I despise pretty much all of these myself... Except Glavenus. I love the Glavenus, mainly due to his kickass fight theme, exhilarating battle, and the utterly ingenious design. Glavy is LITERALLY the monster equivalent of a Great Sword. Overhead Slashes, Side Sweeps, Charged Slashes (albeit sweeping ones instead of overhead ones) and he has to resharpen his blade frequently. I love it when an enemy directly emulates the player's capabilities then turns them up to 11.
Garuga became one of my favorite fights only because I fought over 50 of them in 4u. The armor was too good to pass up and all my friends ended up wanting it too so I’d help them. I think I just Stockholmed my self into loving him.
Franken Stein he's definitely a challenge but a rewarding one. The two most important tips I can give are gem for poision immunity if possible (he poisons A LOT so it'll save you time and antidotes) and pay attention to his super peck attack. I'm blanking right now cause it's been a year or so since I've fought him but he always started the peck on one side of him (I believe it's his left side). Since there's hardly any tell before he slams his face into the ground, staying to his right side can be a life saver cause you have the chance to dodge after the first peck before he does it again to his right side. That attack seriously hurts. Good luck with your hunting!
My first Monster Hunter game was Monster Hunter Stories. It’s a turn-based RPG with a Monster Hunter style and Pokémon flavor. Even in that game is this thing a nightmare to fight. It’s breath attack hits both you and your monster in battle and its attack patterns are near unpredictable. And may the gods have mercy on you if you decide to attempt the postgame dungeon. Almost every section I was in had a high ranked one nearby, and you’d better hope the monster you’re riding can outrun it if you don’t plan to fight it, because if not you’re not only getting dragged into a battle with it, it gets a free attack if it touches you in the back in the overworld.
anyone remember the 1st G rank quest in 4U where you hunt a desert seltas and a fucking APEX Rajang can just show up out of nowhere Good times Good painful bone shattering times
I really love the Khezu tbh, it’s unique, it’s ecology video is awesome, it’s anatomy is fascinating, its electric abilities make sense, it’s hammer is amazing Sure it’s slow and sluggish but it’s an ambush predator, give the poor guy some slack, at least he’s unique
Avalos Altair Miraos you could say that with every old gen wyvern, going by looks and ecology, it’s very unique, it’s a flying electric leech for Christ sake
Somehow I felt I was lucky to have my first Diablos in MHW as a DB main. It was easy since it's just trip city, especially with Fire and Ice in post-game
17:10 I thought a Kirin was half horse half dragon. So if we’re going for MLP then this is the unholy love child of Spike and Rarity, shippers what have you done?!
Nazo- kage oh no. This is a more accurate representation of a unicorn, and a pretty accurate representation of a Kirin and it's more feral cousin, the Sin-you. They weren't nice, especially when provoked or enraged. They will kill you on the spot before you can say ouch, and you can't harm them.
@@timestate9718 I stand by what I said 7 months ago. It was absolutely horrendous. There might have been an amazing video afterwards, but I had to click off after witslnessing some of the most intense cringe ever created.
I guess I'm just in the minority when I say that Glavenus was actually my favorite of the Fated Four to fight. Tip: Sword/Shield (or any weapon that can block) turns it into a 1-V-1 sword duel. That spin-slash? Yeah, you can just stand there and block it with a shield. EDIT: Seriously? You guys didn't mention one of Gravios' weaknesses (at least in 4 Ultimate)? If you break the Gravios' back, those volcanic fumes will be expelled from its back instead of underneath itself, meaning you'll be free to get close and start hacking at its legs with a LOT less risk involved.
...Remind one how they're supposed to break the back before the Insect Glaive existed? '-'; Probably why they brought up jump attacks in the review and how it made it easier. Also I've seen people try to do what seems to be a blade clash with the spin attack, I think, only to never see it seem to work? Still, my biggest annoyance with Galvenus still remains that zoggin' taildrop he can combo twice and basically drop a person with pretty reliably.
Well, seeing as they, as you said, brought up how mounting and jump attacks in 4U made Gravios easier, I just fail to see how they could've neglected to mention that. Also, for me, Glavenus' most annoying attack wasn't the double tail-slam. That one is easy to dodge once you remember that it's done in a sort of 'cross-slash' pattern (one strike coming from the right/left, the second coming from the other direction). No, for me, the hardest attack of his to dodge was when it does a quick thrusting stab with the tip of its tail in a way similar to the Long Sword's thrust attack. That one comes out nigh-instantaneously, with little-to-no warning that the Glavenus is about to use it.
Couple all those annoying attacks with bad hit detection and you have the most obnoxious of the Fated Four. Gammoth is slow and telegraphed but very powerful and comes packing with AoE attacks. Mizutsune is my favorite of the Fated Four: Design, fight, unique mechanic, everything. Astalos reminds me of Seregios. Considering Seregios is my all-time favorite monster, that's a good thing. Glavenus can go fuck itself. This is the 4th Generation! I shouldn't be dealing with terrible hitboxes!
The nightmare returns Capcom just revealed that the first monster in MHW:Iceborne's first post-release update will be "shudders in terror" Rajang. Yep the nightmare itself has followed us to the New World and I just saw the trailer and I already started having PTSD/scarred flashbacks due to my encounters with it.
That's why the armor I always wore to fight it in 4 Ultimate was my Ukanlos armor which, in addition to a sweet-ass cape, came equipped with Tremor Res.
Funniest thing I've ever seen from Rajang happened in gen for me. I was fighting it on the mountain and for god knows what reason, it just decided "Fuck it, I'm gonna kill the mountain". I'm not joking, he went super sayain and just kept punching the side of the mountain because he had knocked out one of my palicoes there, but after it left to heal he just kept well....punching the mountain
Not saying get gud. But I beat Diablos, took me like 15 tries and my sanity but I overcame it. Just I'll overcome the entirety of monster hunter world solo.
Oh, and lets not even mention *MASSACRE DEMON DIABOLOS* It grew up to become demented and to hate and slaugter hunters ON INSTINCT after having one of its horns grow back distorted after having it destroyed by one as a child.
I don’t know what’s weirder about me with MH3U, the fact that I actually kind of like the underwater combat, or the fact that I hate the Gobel more than the Plesioth (then again, 3U is the only Monster Hunter game I’ve played).
Honestly, my ten worst, not nessisarily in any order and just from my experience in FU and Gen... - Great Maccao - I don't understand. The other 'dromes got rebalanced to be pretty decent fight in Gen, and then they throw THIS literal glass cannon that never sits still at you as the first fight! Good luck getting those Champion's Crests... - Bulldrome - Easily the worst 'medium' monster in the entire series. All it does. ALL IT DOES. Is charge over and over, no other attacks. Remind me again why this guy returned in Gen, and not the other Great Jaggies so I could fight them? - Kirin - Honestly, I like this monster, if only by gear and look, but GAWD is this thing a pain. Pretty much everything brought up in the video and then some, too fast monsters plus clunky old-hunting controls equals very sad hunter. Imagine trying to fight that thing SOLO in FU, I've yet to beat it there even on lowrank >_> - Khezu - Ugh. At least the third gen's copycat of Khezu looks interesting and has MUSIC. Khezu just bores me, it's yet another monster that has the same animation base as most the early-gen monsters, and even with it's new attacks in Gen it's just not very interesting or memorable beyond it's AOE lightning shocks, which after a few rounds it's more sitting on your ass waiting on it to stop spamming them. - Yian Garuga - You missed the 'best' bit of this git in the video, but all your critiques are valid. The worst part of this bugger is this git has the bad habit of chaining moves or mixing up his cues to add extra pain to hunters. Running towards you like he's going to peck at you? SURPRISE, TAILSWIPE, HOPE YOU GOT ANTIDOTE HORNS! - Galvenus - I'd probably like this guy, except for two words - TAIL. DROP. That one single move, and the amount of times it's come soaring into my head, has placed the bugger onto my vendetta list right there. - Plesioth - Takes forever to get it out of the water in FU, and while it's more aggressive (and less broken) in Gen, it's still not the funnest fight, not helped that the fish-wyvern's lava version also came along for the ride to show how a beast like it could be done RIGHT in that game. - Congalala - I honestly can't understand why I had so much pain to deal with this guy back in FU. It's combos are somewhat easy to read, but it's constant spam of charging like an asshole (it's hardest to avoid attack) and it's above average health just gave me SO much trouble back in the day. Better now, but still not GOOD. - Tigrex - Those charges.... I think I got PTSD from this guy ;-; Like Conga, he's a bigass progression hurdle for FU and a big pain with the clunkier controls compared to Gen. - ALL CARPACIONS - Zog the crabs! ALL of them! The surprising maneuverability, plus the heavy hits, AND the hard carapace that dulls your weapons, just gets more annoying. Even the Daimo Hermitaur can be a git, but toss in the Shogun Ceanitaur and things just get more nightmarish. The only one I've not fought personally is the one with the Lau Shun Lung skull, but it seems like it'll be a nightmare if I ever get back into FU to that point, it sounds so damn finicky to kill and basically REQUIRES a fire hammer to do it before timeout or the loss of the gate.
Gratuitous Lurking I aggre with Bulldrome its ridicilously annoying and worse in high rank Tigrex is hard(also remember that urgent quest in Freedom Unite where you are still undergeared for battling this thing?) And its Subpecies Brute is more annoying I accualy like Gigginox over Khezu XD
Reno KyrieliumGodOfVoid At least Gigginox has actual charm. Khezu has no reason to exist. It's a good thing that later Gens gave us great monsters like Deviljho, Seltas Queen, the Fated Four (except Glavenus, fuck that thing), Gore and Shagaru Magala, Brachydios and my all-time favorite monster, the Seregios. And that's just the top of my head.
how many more ppl do i have to tell that rajang is not based of goku, he is based on sun wu kong the monkey king (the legenday creaure Goku is based on) im sick of hearing ppl say Rajang is based off of Goku because they share the same design base of Sun wu kong just because dragon ball is a popular anime
FuryousD I think the big reason why they compare it to Goku cause the thing can go fucking super saiyan and as the video showed in the frontier piece it has a spirit bomb like attack
and goku has those attacks because he is based on sun wu kong although when designing rajang they may of taken some inspiration from goku as well but it's mostly based on the monkey king sun wu kong
I have a monster from World that is Rajang gone great ape with ice and a habit of smacking you around, the IceSpamHappyChickenBomb THY NAME IS LEGIANA AND IT'S ICE BLIGHT SPAMMING!!
Personally think the pony from hell should have been higher (top three at least) but I can see your point with a lot of these baddies except Glavenus. If you were gonna put any of the fated four, I expected the boring dps test that is Gammoth.
Shame that they didnt mention that plesioths could grew as large as an akantor back in the day. (And you do know what larger monster means with biggest bullshit hitbox ) For real you new gen hunters be happy that you dont have to deal with a 80% larger plesioth that moves at normal monster speed with a hitbox that never misses and still deals huge chucks of damage. To give a comparrison the only other monster at this size that moves at the same speed was the diablos but luckly he didnt spam hipchecks and his hitbox was very genarous.
13:22 Remember in MHF2/ Unite there was this great double Black Gravios quest in G rank. Where they would fire as soon as you entered the area. From left and right so you were in a crossfire.
How broken is plesioth's hitbox? The issue was not fixed until MH Generations, its desert variant (cephadrome) was hip checking me from behind it as well as from behind sand dunes.
I used to hate and even fear the Rajang, but in Generations I actually grew to enjoy fighting it. Like every other monster, once you get the hang of its attacks and patterns it's a lot easier to deal with. The more I fought it, the more I grew to like. I would say that my biggest achievement in Monster Hunter Generations is that I took on a hyper Rajang solo, and I beat it. That moment will never be forgotten.
Honestly, I couldn't do this topic myself as there's only 2 monsters I actually hate. Hint: One of them is on here, the other is an elder dragon. I've only extensively played 3U and 4U
I really disagree with the Glavenus Like how can you hate such a bad ass monster I mean yeah he does have "some" annoying attacks to players but he is still a fun monster to fight!

Don't hate glavenus or Garuga in iceborne. They're a little annoying, but otherwise cool monsters and fairly tolerable.
Rajang however...Pissed me off to no end.
How do you hate Glavenus?
FLAMING GREATSWORD TAIL
Caleb Olds so coming from someone who absolutely loves the designs I agree. Also coming from someone who thought it would be a good idea to get a full set of the armor I hate it with a passion
They don't like it because it attacks fast and wide even though they praised astolos for that. Ironic isn't it.
Who hates glaveneus, because I don't for one reason, it's gear is top teir in generation.
21:17 Minor Correction: as of 4U, khezu does give the spotted status, so you can in fact superman dive from Khezu and lock on to it. Still doesn't make it any less of an atrocity though
Wish it had a theme. Imo Gigginox is what Khezu should have been.

Maybe the best fire weapons, but a pain in the ass to upgrade, which is why I switched for Lavasioth/Agnaktor weapons.
@@adamjsher04 Yeah his gear is pretty badass, considering I paired it with the Testuacabara set.

I find it interesting that other than Glavenus, the monsters from the list are first introduced in the First or Second Generation.
I find it interesting that a good number of the monsters they named are ride-able in monster hunter stories, and fun to use in my humble opinion.
Most of the people hate some of the old monsters mostly for the gameplay. (Especially the first gen of subspecies).
In other contexts like Stories it's a totally different thing.
Mattia Berti makes me wonder on the ratings if everything was around on a game where the controls didnt suck
The Plesioth needs Two words to describe it: Hip Check.
I mean what would you rather fight:
A hip checking fish or an extremely pissed off monkey?
It's hip to be checked

"So what? Ed can dig holes too!"
Ed confirmed as Elder Diablos?
As a Blademaster, Glavenus is one of my least favorite monsters to fight. As a Gunner though, it's one of my favorites. Fighting at the midrange used by bows and bowguns, his attacks are much more manageable to dodge, and I find the fight on the whole to be engaging and fun.
I always felt like a baller fighting Glav as Blademaster because I discovered a blindspot in its big dumb spin attack by standing under its legs. I think younger me would've raged otherwise.
If you really wanted to drive home how strong rage-ang is then you could have mentioned the fact IT HUNTS KIRINS
The Irish Elite Well it does hunt Kirins but Kirin is not its main meal
Rajangs only hunt Kirin to be more stronger *insert Dragonball quote*
Reno KyrieliumGodOfVoid never said it was the main meal. Just said it hunted Kirins
Rajang also hunts Kirins to eat their horns.
Oh, if you try to hunt rajang in freedom:unite..............ohhhhhhhh you're gonna have a fuuuun time
Rajang in FU was predictable as hell, especially Golden Rajang. He had a lot of set combos which means it was easy to punish and decimate him without getting hit.
MH4U and Gen... not so much.
Quinton Blackburn Yeah Rajang was a joke in 2/Dos(Original release for PS2 in Japan) and Freedom Unite
But in 4U and Gen it got buffed hard
It act like Zinogre which is having 2 Rage mode but the 2nd rage mode is Crimson's and White Fatalis's Arm armour
It move super fast, it can throw Boulder the size of a Tank(Apex Mode), and The buffed Air Spin attack in G rank was just wow
Deviljho was hard in MHW especialy Tempered Jho(I think Rajang will sadly be nerfed if it will be in MHW lets hope they dont nerfed it but at the same time also hoping Capcom nerfed it)
WrathNebula321 once you learn it in and out its fun but the process is hell. Hey though, when ya learn to cut the tail off its fine. That and is AI is a little wonky.
The Irish Elite
Fun with Rajang just doesn't click with me whenever I fought it in 4U I'm afraid.

I totally agree with the Yian Garuga being a nuisance. I fought him many times and I was always being held back by fire, poison, and constant load screeching.
I actually really like about half of the monsters on this list.
Also that goddamn tail slap....😡
Speaking of Kirin, Whoever decided to even get to Rajang in iceborne you'd have to fight a hornless kirin in permanent rage mode that can't be flinch shotted into walls, Deserves a middle finger salute for their cruelty.

Purple Gypceros.

Yup. Fuck garuga
garuGAYYYYYY
Garuga became one of my favorite fights only because I fought over 50 of them in 4u. The armor was too good to pass up and all my friends ended up wanting it too so I’d help them. I think I just Stockholmed my self into loving him.
50 times? You have my respect, fair hunter. I haven’t fought him yet, still stuck on rathian in generations. Is Garuga really as hard as QG says?
I didn't even met the Rajan yet in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and I think I already have PTSD...
I feel you, I had to grind the Zinogre and the two Magalas for days '^^
And then there's apex.
Your writing is hilarious. I loved the pulling a tree branch joke
Not to mention the fact that Garuga just SPAMS that Head-Flail Charging over and over again.

They also didn't mention how gunner weapon make him a complete joke. Hard skin? Here's my piercing bow, mate.
Pff. You think thats the minority. Join me and very few others who love Gammoth the most. Seriously I don't see many people who like Gammoth like me
_Khezu is 3rd on the Least Favorite Monsters list._
_Cotton Dynosour wants to know your location._
as someone's who's grinding Hellblade someone could easily take glavenus's spot
(tigrex flashbacks)
The nightmare returns Capcom just revealed that the first monster in MHW:Iceborne's first post-release update will be "shudders in terror" Rajang. Yep the nightmare itself has followed us to the New World and I just saw the trailer and I already started having PTSD/scarred flashbacks due to my encounters with it.
*I'm gonna LOL when SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy goes to QG's next list.*
Great vid guys. But you forgot Oroshi Kirin
I really do hope the Plesioth never appears ag- *OW*
0:04 Hey! We got the same ringtone on our phones! And I didn't even see the video to get the idea to use it!
I love rajang! I grind him as a hobby! The tremors however are bullshit as it forces the player to get tremor proof in order to make the fight fair.
Spiller Aaron I agree, he is pretty fun in spite of how brutal he is.
The key to defeating Rajang is to not get greedy with your hits. Watch Herny's guide on it and you'll beat it in no time.
When you become skilled enough hunting 140 Jangs, you can dodge tremors! But Tremor Res is super easy to get, so I don't mind gemming it in for MH4U.
Exactly
Me: sees glavenus
Also me: *inhales* BOI
"Consider my a** strapped."
out of context makers: YES
Oh, and lets not even mention *MASSACRE DEMON DIABOLOS*
It grew up to become demented and to hate and slaugter hunters ON INSTINCT after having one of its horns grow back distorted after having it destroyed by one as a child.
Trust me. Massacre Demon is way better than its regular and ebony cousins...
Don’t forget the...the *quivering in fear*...
*GREAT JAGRAS*
I don’t know what’s weirder about me with MH3U, the fact that I actually kind of like the underwater combat, or the fact that I hate the Gobel more than the Plesioth (then again, 3U is the only Monster Hunter game I’ve played).
Dbz references a plenty
“Honey! Get me the Meaty Smash! A Rajang has gotten into the fridge... AGAIN!!
the plesioth hip check is so broken it could hit u in base camp
[im obviously being sarcastic]
And then Behemoth happened.
Although you’re not far off; it hip checks you as soon as you accept the quest for it!
26:00 PTSD is coming back O.O I almost forgot this cave In freedom.
Imagine trying to fight that thing SOLO in FU, I've yet to beat it there even on lowrank >_>
- Khezu - Ugh.
Gratuitous Lurking I aggre with Bulldrome its ridicilously annoying and worse in high rank
Tigrex is hard(also remember that urgent quest in Freedom Unite where you are still undergeared for battling this thing?) And its Subpecies Brute is more annoying
I accualy like Gigginox over Khezu XD
FuryousD I think the big reason why they compare it to Goku cause the thing can go fucking super saiyan and as the video showed in the frontier piece it has a spirit bomb like attack
and goku has those attacks because he is based on sun wu kong although when designing rajang they may of taken some inspiration from goku as well but it's mostly based on the monkey king sun wu kong
true dat
You forgot to mention the Orochi kirin
I have a monster from World that is Rajang gone great ape with ice and a habit of smacking you around, the IceSpamHappyChickenBomb THY NAME IS LEGIANA AND IT'S ICE BLIGHT SPAMMING!!
6:51 “Mizitsoonians”
Hmmm... *stares at mizutsune’s name*
I can not be at peace with this.
I believe he said "Mizutsune and its bubbles."
Spectra Soulfaire yeah. And?
Personally think the pony from hell should have been higher (top three at least) but I can see your point with a lot of these baddies except Glavenus. If you were gonna put any of the fated four, I expected the boring dps test that is Gammoth.
Kirin actually is pretty good...In world. In GenU and backwards hes a fucking pain.
Glavenus thanks you for the tears it will use to quench its burning blade. I honestly feel the fated four are among the best of the roster.
13:22 Remember in MHF2/ Unite there was this great double Black Gravios quest in G rank. Where they would fire as soon as you entered the area. From left and right so you were in a crossfire.
i was okay with this until i saw diablos ..what a magnificent monster ..just git gud
How broken is plesioth's hitbox? The issue was not fixed until MH Generations, its desert variant (cephadrome) was hip checking me from behind it as well as from behind sand dunes.
So in other words, pretty much all of these are from MH1. That's.....pretty true.
Except for Glavenus he is from generations
And some monsters had their debut in the 2nd generation.
2:49 Does that rubber chicken have a pulley in the middle?
Who else saw Rajang comin at 1#?
Me dont. I love rajang. I wanna ser it in world tho
Rajang is a little cutie and I love him
I used to hate and even fear the Rajang, but in Generations I actually grew to enjoy fighting it.
Most of these monsters are mostly fun and challenging to fight and there also really not that hard😂😂😂
In your opinion
😂
Captain Mega haha, hilarious.
Not.
@@rbrachy2518 there pretty hard come on!
Captain Mega not really, besides rajang, kirin, and plesioth.
Honestly, I couldn't do this topic myself as there's only 2 monsters I actually hate.
Hint: One of them is on here, the other is an elder dragon.
I've only extensively played 3U and 4U
#10 is a bit of a peckpocket, i dont think it was intentional but nice yo-kai watch reference :P
Either Way, The Gypceros Is Still Robinyu
Khezu, or as I call it, The Leech Dragon. Good to see ya buddy.
*Penis Dragon*
SERIOUSLY
Most of these monsters are amazing you're literally putting them on here because you're to bad
How can you hate Rajang,Yian Garuga and Glavenus! They exist for a challenge!!!
Unfair, cheap as fuck challenge nobody likes.
I really disagree with the Glavenus
Like how can you hate such a bad ass monster
I mean yeah he does have "some" annoying attacks to players but he is still a fun monster to fight!
