Restoration of a 1972 Chevy Nova - Part 18 - Painting door jambs, stereo

In this episode I paint the door jambs Hugger orange, install a stereo and finish installing the dash. I also repair the temperature control panel, install weatherstripping and reseal the windshield.

Glad puppy n kitty are good....."On that stereo, I had antenna in windsheild that wires were broke so I bought Unervsial Hidden Antenna for like $12 on ebayyyy !!! Plugged into stereo back and fed it over to sit in my glove box!!! Worked great!!! That cluster looks sweet!!! Orange is gonna look sooooo good!!!😃😃😃

To support the radio, you can add a strap from back of radio to where speaker mounts in dash. That’s what I did

Restoration of an old car is no doubt expensive but on the other hand doing all the work your self is more gratifying and will save you money I can do mechanical and electrical and welding and such but I don't know how to do paint and body work would love to how to do it all.

i was going to comment the other day when you were talking about your steering wheel on there but i was watching on my tv but i got one was black a gt grant wheel it was black only a few years old paint peeled and flaked off badly i cut the paint at the spokes with a razor blade then hand sanded it bare metal etch primed and painted it body color of my truck and i just used spray cans it held up been near 3 years yours in my opnion would look nice orange in place of that chrome and maybe black horn button ????? just a thought man love watchin you fixem

Hunter orange is a fine base coat for charcoal black or gloss black paint.

In general I have no problem with drum brakes if the car is driven normal.

From EXPERENCE! Most full Restoration don't GET COMPELETED! AND SETS! Then parts get lost or don't know where they go. What i would do is GET IT RUNNING. and fix it up as i go! THAT WAY? IT GET COMPLETED? OR SOLD! Most of the time there sold, as i'am driving them. When i put a paint job on them? THERE ALWAYS SOLD for more money 💲💲💲💲💲💲
