The 1 set of springs are out of a 80s to 90s f150 or econo line truck and van. Only because I replaced plenty of them. By the hard twist at the top of the spring the other cut one is the same. Yes front f150 front springs. And good job so far on the body. 👍🤘💯🚖
Lookin good my friend, How is Puppy doing? Blees her shes lookin older now. Just reminds me of my best friend Alfie. shes a lovely dog just like my pal was. Take care my friend & give Puppy a love from me!
I know you likes the ass end up but I’m telling you that chevelle looks badass with them wheels tucked under just a little . I’m really enjoying your videos man. I need to make some videos of my car work. I’m no pro and no formal training but I guess I’d like to share and show people that they can do it if they try and not everything has to be 100% perfect to enjoy. You do really great work!
When the rear springs on my 86 Gran Prix went soft I used a set of rear spring from a 76 Monte Carlo and they gave me 2in lift over stock. Ride and handling were great. Also the springs were from a salvage yard.
Love the channel, what compressors do you have for painting Looks like one for more home use like I want. Does it keep up when spraying? Is it 110or 220?trying to do bodywork on a budget if possible. Been watching nova none stop recently, Motivating. What state are you in just curious?
May I ask you a question? Who learnt you the way of the body work and auto repairs. It has to be someone from your past because these new schoolers throw money at their problems. They have no up bringing to solve problems without it.
@@clunkersandclassics I was born in 68. My father went to college for electrical engineering. He wrecked his Harley and crushed his ankle, which stopped him from the Vietnam draft, but no one would hire him because of liability reasons. I told him God saved his life with that cycle accident. So he had to buy a garage and do collision/body work for a living. He was his own boss. I worked with him until my brother graduated high school and done mechanic work in his garage, so I left and went to the coal mine. I know a little bout cars, that's why I know you got knowledge from the ancient ones. BTW your vehicles you have done are very nice, thank you for sharing them with us and teaching us knowledge of the ancients. Old school is the only school. God bless.
The professional way to use bondo is to not use bondo, like he said, it looks like I use a lot but really not. If you are good, you learn to master the hammer & dolly.
Business is business, we can't build your business by just watching and not subscribing. My rule of thumb in subscribing to a channel is, if I find myself repeatedly visiting a channel, then I subscribe to bring the numbers up. So that I can watch it grow to the point that the channel owner gets locked into his full time job and becomes his own slave. I'm such a sadist, lol. But I'm sure money will ease the torture.
I watch this channel this guy reminds me of my uncle from the 70’s and 80’s when we would work on cars. Watching this brings back good memories. I like the old school techniques. I doing the same stuff with my 1965 Chevy c10 . No fancy tool just hard work. Keep going dude!

The parts car the rear springs came from had been sitting since 1983, so it had to be 1983 or older.
Nice work, I just love the stance of the Chevelle lowered!
It just got raised back up a little.

Does the epoxy gum the paper up bad
no. add hardener and let it dry for a few days. sands like regular primer.
What's a good budget epoxy that you like for the money

What state are you in just curious?
Just a 110 harbor freight compressor. It keeps up with painting. I'm on the Texas/Oklahoma border.

I started work at a body shop when I was young. I probably worked at about 20 shops in my life so learned at all of them.

Someone filled the door with bondo to bring it out even with the quarter panel. Door looks good to me

Sorry for comment bombing your page. I'm a new sub, just want to see your direction, that's all.
Is the trailer your tow rig? Or do you have a tow truck?
