You are a great teacher, I definitely will be saving these vids, I use a saddle with the prussic knots for the last 3 years and I added a webbed tender to be able to adjust one-handed, I think I'm using 8mm oplux for a linesman and a tether, and they worked fine up until this year, I'm now 64 and don't work out anywhere near what I used to and must have lost strength in my arms and shoulders cuz this year I can't seem to slide those knots, I like knots over mechanical since I was a tower hand for a few years and trust my stuff, , I did spray down with scent killer and was thinking maybe a swelled the ropes, So I untied them, felt and inspected them, shook them out and re-tied, and it worked once, but I can't slide that prussic up without 2 hands on my tether wich is not easy at height and a small platform, What would you recommend? I also have an Amsteel bridge that I replaced with new rope and tried a swabish knot and it holds but looks wrong on weight,, I want a rope that I can work the know easy on the bridge and all the other ropes and knots!! what should I do? and don't say workout!

It's so nice to understand the why of these and your presentation is awesome. The hunting community should all watch this series.

Saw your video just in time to get me setup for Saddle hunting this year. Can't wait to try out those knots. Definitely appreciate you going through the details with multiple slow movements so newbies can follow along. Keep up the great work. Like! All day long!

I have same exact ropes , but used the distel hitch and it creeps when I move to remove my stick before I repel the rest of the way down. It only happens then. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Using 6mm TRC on 8mm Oplux I use a michoacan with 5 wraps. 4 wraps slip too much for me while one stick climbing. 5 wraps lock up tight. One hand tightening with a hitch tender. Still breaks under load in case I need to switch to a rappel line while loaded.

5.5mm Beal cordelette works way better on Oplux or Resctech than the 6mm TRC. It’s the same stuff they make the Jammy out of. Bites nice and makes more compact hitches and knots. TRC was slipping for me too much for my preference.

Your part 2 video would have been more enjoyable if you did not waste time showing how to tie the knots 3-4 times if people did not get it after the second time they can go back and watch them however many times they want.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s my first time making videos so any feedback helps. My intention was to make it where folks don’t have to pause and rewind so much.
