Here is a mod that I came across recently and I think it is worth adding. For those "What If" situations. Install a second clutch cable beside your existing one. If for whatever reason, your current cable snaps, you can easily-ish, install the new one and keep riding until you can get home. You would have to keep a small tool kit with you most likely, but it is something worth doing.
To be completely honest…I was thinking of this. Thinking of keeping a second clutch cable in my motobag just for that reason. Because, you never know when that sucker is gonna snap. Very good idea for the prepared rider!
@@xTHEYCALLMExGx Yeah, better to be safe then sorry and never thought about just carrying the cable lol Both cases work tho, either pre install or have it stored away.
Yeah it doesn’t take long to take out, route new one, and snap into place. Most important thing is you have a second cable ready to go when it does happen.
I would argue that a good set of rear sets are more important that the ECU flash tbh. Stock rear sets are set so low, if you take a corner that has positive camber you risk scraping the footpeg pin (not really sure what it's called) and it really messes with your confidence taking corners. Throttle tube mod is also another one I'm not entirely sure makes all that much of a difference (having done it myself) Another school of thought is that wider range of motion means that the rider has better input control of the bike and thus makes adding small increments of throttle easier in situations like cornering.
That ergo seat was my #1 mod so far. The original seat kept me pushed into the tank. Pants were rolled up underneth me making for a very uncomfortable ride. The ergo seat took out the angle towards the tank, and now the ride is so much more fun, no matter the distance.
My biggest problem with the stock seat is the lack of foam. I hated it and I took the 400 on it's first trip to Oregon taking the long way. 8-9hrs one way. My ass was just.....done lmao. But with the ergofit seat now and the custom cover from Luimoto. I can ride the 8-9hrs with little breaks here and there for fuel and food with absolutely no problem. That extra 1" of foam definitely help with the comfort and making it feel like a bigger bike for someone like me at 5'10".
@@xTHEYCALLMExGx I hear ya, that thin foam was a pain, but my biggest gripe about it was the angle that always had me sliding into the tank. Mind you I was the one sliding into the tank, not my jeans. That was an awfully uncomfortable position I must say. The ergo seat fixed it all. 👌
Thank grips for sure makes a whole lot of difference! I don’t think I will ever ever ever get used to riding a bike gripping a naked smooth tank ever again 😅
Frame sliders first mod for new riders! ESPECIALLY if your buying that baby spanking new! No one wants to pay 5k+ to wipe it out takin off from home or sliding in a curve.
@@jerryglennie5375 Thank you! I didn't think I was going to like the red. Despite red being my favorite color. Ooooh a RX-8. Always wanted one. But so far I can only afford was my 07 Civic SI. Good daily and that's all I need her to do :P
Great video, but i really really think you should try to NOT have so many cuts. It makes it kinda unpleasant to listen to (not because of you, but because its unnatural to have 8 cuts in one sentence, like an ai assembling sound bites). It's 100% okay to ramble on a bit or stumble on words, its better to have a long winded sentence with a few "aah" and "hmm"'s than having it excessively edited like this =)
Appreciate the feedback! I really appreciate you speaking up on something. Now I know what I need to do in my next video after the next one drops this sunday. Thank you! 🙏

After adding tank grips, it is literally a night-and-day difference. Love them!

@@xTHEYCALLMExGx absolute first mod for mine when I get it in a couple months. Looking to be about $150-180 for the full kit
Mine came with the bike when I bought it new from the dealership 😅. Which explains why I didn’t say the first mod to get. Didn’t think about it
@@xTHEYCALLMExGx pretty lucky, I do enjoy your red 400. Such a beautiful bike. I'm going for the white pearl to match my rx-8 that's a snowflake white

Hey you! Long time no see!!!
@@xTHEYCALLMExGx No kidding! Hope everything has been going good for ya!
Missed you! Ummm…for the most part 😅. A lot has happened
I only get cosmetic mods from China since Amazon is just selling the same parts at double the price
It’s insane how much parts have increased since I got the bike in 2021.
