I have a 500, brand new. I'm very, very new. Like only 20 miles new. Well yesterday I tried to blip the throttle and it almost ended in a disaster! It threw me back and almost popped a wheelie. It's a scary, but I didn't panic and saved the bike
Give it some time for the bike to break in first. It's very good that you didn't panic. Calm panic is better than full on panic. Give it little blips at a time if you're downshifting until you find the right amount to make the downshift smooth. Low speed and low gears will require more blipping than saying going from 6th to 5th from what I can tell you. But you're gonna have to go on feel with that one. You'll find it.
@@xTHEYCALLMExGx The video def helps and I plan on taking a class in the near future. I’ve been looking online but I have not seen any of the ninja 400 for sale around the area. Do you have any recommendations on where to look?
@phillyrepresenter they’re out there. It’s just that the Ninja 500 (essentially a 450cc) is taking over and replacing the 400. You can blame Euro Emissions. So if you can’t find a 400, a CF Moto 450 is the next best choice or if you want to stick with Kawasaki, you can go for the Ninja 500 or the ZX4RR.
Although I got my M1 enforcement when I was 18, for various reasons, I never ended up getting a bike. As a lifelong stick shift driver, I still want to learn to ride, but I’m now 35. Am I too old now? Haha…
To make you feel a little better. I started riding in May 18th, of 2021. It was also When I first bought my 2021 Ninja 400 with 0 miles. I am now 36 as of July 16th. You're still good. If you want to ride, then go get that bike! My friend's parents just started riding not too long ago either. They're in their 40's. They also have no riding experience. But they wanted to ride because of their daughter and me going on adventures. Now we have "family rides".
You got this. You don’t have to be in 1st gear at a stop light. I go to neutral once the vehicle behind me has come to a complete stop. You’ll stall at first, maybe a lot, depending on who you are. But you’ll get the confidence in time. Take your time and get used to the riding.
On my 2023 it has a positive neutral finder. When stopped you cannot go from 1st to 2nd. Goes into neutral right away!
That’s the one thing I wish my bike came with when I was breaking it in. It was so annoying at first 😂
Awesome video bro!!! Some good laughs with great info 😂

Anytime 😂😄
What a beautiful ruby ninja. Red is my all time fav color! What is the camera/filter your using? The intro coloring was magnificent
Just my personal color grading using DaVinci Resolve. I’m always experimenting with different coloring for every video.
Yooo I live here!!! Been wanting to buy a ninja 400 for a while because I work on orcas! Thanks for the video!
Sorry for the late reply but it’s a great commuter bike and a great bike to carve up the backroads. Hope the video helped!
