There were dasy when I listened to this song, when youTube was my only friend, when I was in a cold grey place, where it rained almost every other day and cold snow fail from the sksy. This song made me cry despite my age, it made me long for my home, a place where the sun shines everyday, the smell of rain water on dusty earth, my father and mother, the love and warmth of my peopl, cheap original vegetables. Now I'm listening to this song at home in Africa, at home, so glad to be home again.
I have tears in my eyes when I always watch this video It is full of life lessons When I see all these people, these innocent children very happy in their village despite precarious living conditions In life, wealth does not necessarily bring happiness but love and only can bring happiness. Our world really needs Love. Long live my continent Africa.
Luis, I never had great feeling about Argentina mainly because Argentina tried to erase the history of Slavery and existence of Africans in Argentina. To a point I don't like even the soccer team. But it is good to know not everyone is the same. How is it You dance to Tango and deny the existence of Africans in your land? Tango is African not Spanish. I am not attacking you personally. Just a conversation.......enlighten me. I maybe wrong.
@@luiskuramathi I see you could not address my point. Look into your backyard before praising Africa. Argentina is a Racist country who attempted to erase Black history. You associate your selves with Spain. Oh, your country harbored criminals from WWII. You don't deserve to comment on anything that is Africa related. That goes for Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile too. There were slaves in these countries. But you try to deny it. unless you have anything solid to say, don't respond to me.
I dont understand a word of the song, but still understand it all. So soulful, so simple, so honest and so innocent.Just what music is all about...beautiful voice, lovely people of Kirina. Greetings from India...
Music is an universal language. The lyrics, a foreign language don't matter. If you feel the music in your heart and soul, you have grasped the universal language
Baba is a real example of unity of Africa...with your universal voice and your richest words we always learn and take good lessons in this life... You show us love peace freedom and egality...your are the present of us and all the people...we're always proud to you...longue life peace and health dad....

Baaba Maal you are the only one who always make me feel proud of my origins. Your name does not mean daddy for nothing. Your voice touches me like nobody. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I vae lived once in West Africa, I have met people from Mali, the most simple, correct, happiest people I have ever met. The are spreading love. Thank you.
Ta voix perce les coeurs des hommes. Baaba mal , ta musique réveille les âmes soucieuses et accompagne les générations. Nous demandons à dieu de te laisser avec nous. Longue vie .
So good to see happy smiling faces and dancing too, far from the misery of starvation and war often shown in stories from Africa. Keep up the good work. Peace and joy through music, fabulous.
African has a lot more to offer than what CNN shows. Yes there is poverty is Africa. But there is also Poverty in the America. Mainly among Black people. the people I saw on the video did not look like they are starving. They seem like centered and culturally rich. Notice the respect for the older people? What do you do in the U.S with them. You let them die in Nursing Home. You would have been better off just admiring the music and not stray to areas you don't fully understand. Stop watching late night TV!!!
Crying, because it takes me to my roots back! Thx to everyone who was present, when this Video was being made and the Makers themselves. Ancestral melodies!
Notre monde a vraiment besoin d'Amour.Vive mon continent l'Afrique.
Every time I listen to Playing For Change I'm overwhelmed. This is video is another example of the profoundly beautiful, universal and unifying impact of music.
i find this song has a very powerful vibe and can't stop hearing it every day. We perceive life in all ways but when you are down and out and feel helpless maybe just listen and watch this video and re-evaluate yourself and think twice. I really want help all over the world in these poor stricken places and just cook non stop for the poverty. If anyone can help with leads and info please add a comment it would help me greatly.
