My little sister served in the Peace Corps in Mali for 2 years. She was in a remote village, much like the one shown in this video. I went to visit and spent a week with her in the village, drawing water from the well, eating locally grown millet grain porridge and mangoes. The people were so welcoming and friendly, particularly the children. The first night I arrived the villagers came together to dance and sing under the moon light. It was the most wonderful and mesmerizing experience I've ever had while traveling.
And some idiots start conflict, attack such villages, I hate wars and strife. These villagers are the warmest people you will ever encounter. They don't have much but they share with love

I did a month-long backpacking trip though Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Mali in the 1990s. I loved West Africa and especially the sights and sounds of Mali. Greetings from north Wales, UK.
I closed my eyes... Let the images scroll ... I saw shores, I saw faces ... In depth, I felt the earth ... powdery and light ... Children playing freely, barefoot on your truth ... Hours that stretch to the sound of candor and fraternity ... Africa, cradle of our humanity ... I do not know you and yet I have never forgotten you ... Always dance in my being, the reassuring scent of your arms ... Mother smile, you never left us ... Allow me ... by these few words to honor your beauty, to thank your goodness ... 🙂💓
I just always come back to this video whenever I feel really down. I find it so soothing and calm and relaxing. It just takes my soul to some mystical place. So so soooo beautiful, I love it
I agree completely. I'm teary-eyed, this music is so gorgeous, like a river flowing around me. I just discovered this track, and can already tell I'm going to play it over and over.
The harp in the center is called a kora, my favorite musical instrument. I fell in love with it after I bought a couple of albums of kora music from Guinea. I'm selling one in San Diego.
Unfortunately, change doesn't come by hoping. It comes by fighting for justice, starting in our own families, to neighborhoods, to cities to our countries. I believe in fighting using the tactics I learned from Quran: altruism, patience and perseverance, trust in God, high moral standards, unity and no betrayal.

Cette musique est une ode à l'amour entre les peuples . Il n'y a ni blanc ni noir ni asiatique ou arabes mais tout simplement un groupe d'être humain qui compose le monde 💖💖😘😘
Lovely instrumental music. Truly universal language. Is here a culture anywhere on earth that does not have a musical tradition? I'm inclined to doubt it. This is altogether mesmerizing, soul-pleasing, captivating music. Never in my life have I heard such soothing music from these instruments together. The kora is a fascinating instrument. Roberto Luti sure knows how to make that old rusted-out steel guitar weep. Sounds a lot like a sitar in certain places.
